With sincerity, Charlie said, “You’ve assisted me, so I will certainly assist you in return. This medicine has the potential to add ten years to your life. It shouldn’t pose any issues.”
Even though the old man was unfamiliar with the Rejuvenation Pill, he nodded enthusiastically.
As he relinquished his crutches, he trembled and knelt on the ground, lifting his hands high above his head.
Charlie ced the Rejuvenating Pill into the old man’s hands, helping him to rise as he encouraged, “Please take it now. At your age, you may not notice any immediate external effects, but someone as wise as you will certainly feel the internal changes.”
Overwhelmed with gratitude, the old man eximed, “Thank you, Master Wade!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Without any further hesitation, he ced the Rejuvenating Pill in his mouth.
He then closed his eyes and remained still for roughly a minute.
After that brief moment, he opened his eyes, tears glistening, looked at Charlie, knelt once more, and stammered, “Master Wade, this medicine is truly miraculous! I sincerely thank you for your assistance!”
Charlie quickly replied, “Old sir, you are my elder. There’s no need for such formalities.”
The old man replied earnestly, “In terms of fate, you are a Dragon while I am but a Python. A Python must always bow to a Dragon. Even an ancient Python must lower its head before a newly emerged young Dragon. Earlier, I refrained from showing my respect due to the crowd, fearing your identity would be revealed. Please forgive my earlier oversight!”
Charlie smiled and waved his hand dismissively, “These are mere words; there’s no need to take them so seriously.”
The old man continued with gravitas, “The more one believes in destiny, the more one must align with the heavens and act in ordance with nature. If I do not show you the respect due, it would be a disservice! The heavens will surely take note!”
Seeing the old man’s firm stance, Charlie decided to relent and asked, “Old gentleman, may I inquire about your name? Is it convenient for you to share it?”
The old man immediately bowed and replied respectfully, “Young Master Wade, my surname is Exeor, and my name is Orion Exeor. I am a direct descendant of Balig Exeor, a master of Feng Shui from the Moore Dynasty.”
Charlie’s eyes widened in realization as he admired, “I see! It’s no wonder you possess such profound knowledge of Feng Shui; you hail from a renowned lineage!”
This thought led Charlie to recall a fraudulent Feng Shui master who had deceived Jasmine in the past, iming to be a descendant of Balig Exeor butcking genuine skills.
In contrast, the old man before him demonstrated true mastery of divination, able to deduce significant insights even from afar, all the way across the United States. He was indeed a rare find.
Curious, Charlie asked, “Old man, why have you chosen to reside in the United States all this time?”
Orion Exeor responded with a bittersweet smile, “During the War of Resistance, my father, deeply concerned for our homnd, made the most significant divination of his life. He foresaw that while China would endure, the Exeor family would face destruction. To save our family, he sacrificed his own life, which allowed us to escape, but it meant we had to cross the ocean…”<fn3493> ?????? ???? fι?dnοvel</fn3493>
“So, in 1938, I buried my father and moved with my mother and younger siblings to the United States. I started a new life there, eventually building a family and a career. Although I considered returning home, after so many years, my life and ties became too intertwined, and I couldn’t bring myself to uproot everything, so I’ve remained here.”
Charlie nodded thoughtfully and inquired, “What are your ns moving forward?”
Orion Exeor looked out at the vast mountains and smiled, “My descendants are all in the United States. I’ve been away for four years this time, and they are quite concerned about me. Now that I’ve been granted this additional decade of life from you, I n to return and live my remaining days peacefully!”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
