Charlie had no particr apprehension when it came to Stephen Thompson.
This was because he recognized that Stephen Thompson harbored no ill intentions toward him.
Over the years, Charlie had been able to grow up safely in Aurous Hill, rgely due to the discreet protection provided by Stephen Thompson.
Thus, if Stephen Thompson had ever wished him harm, he would have acted long before now.
Stephen was among the select few people Charlie could trustpletely, so he decided to reach out to him and ask for a meeting to discuss some details from the past.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
At that moment, Stephen Thompson was at the Wade Group.
In the high-level conference room of the Wade family group, all the descendants of the Wade family had gathered for a family meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Nathaniel Wade, the patriarch of the Wade family.
Nearly twenty members of the Wade lineage were present in the room.<fn1d32> Read full story at find(?)ovel</fn1d32>
The old man spoke with a touch of nostalgia, saying, “Old Master Exeor left in such a hurry yesterday, heading straight to the airport from Wade Mountain. I didn’t even have a chance to see him onest time. What a shame!”
Charlie’s uncle, Corran Wade, inquired, “Dad, is this meeting about the old master’s return to the United States?”
Lord Wade waved his hand dismissively, replying, “The old master had informed me long ago that he remained in Eastcliff and the country afterpleting Wade Mountain to await a long-desired opportunity. Now that he has left, I suspect he has finally seized that opportunity.”
Everyone nodded in understanding, and one of Charlie’s cousins asked, “Grandpa, was there a specific reason you called us all together today?”
Last time Lord Wade summoned the entire direct lineage of the Wade family, it was to discuss moving the ancestral grave. Given the vastness of the family business, the younger generation was scattered across various ministries and locations. If it were not for a matter of great importance, such a gathering would not have been necessary.
With a sigh, Lord Wade continued, “Initially, the old master told me that once the Wade family’s predicament at Sleepy Shoal was resolved, we would have the chance to rise to new heights. I still don’t quite grasp how Wade Mountain is tied to that opportunity.”
The room fell silent as everyone exchanged nces.
Currently, the Wade family held the second position among the country’s prominent families, only behind the Banks Family. To rise to the next level would mean surpassing the Banks Family and iming the top spot.
This thought filled everyone with a sense of excitement.
Charlie’s third uncle, Myles, asked, “Dad, did the old master provide any hints? For instance, where might this opportunity arise? Who might be involved? Or how can we uncover relevant clues?”
Lord Wade shook his head, stating, “The old master only mentioned that the Wade family would soon encounter a god-given opportunity. However, he did not reveal what that opportunity is or where to find it, insisting that it remains a closely guarded secret!”
Corran Wade frowned and remarked, “That’s quite a broad scope. It leaves us with little to go on!”
Lord Wade responded, “If we can’t easily find the clues, we must take the initiative to seek them out!”
Then, turning serious, he added, “For the past couple of days, I’ve been pondering how we can surpass the Banks Family in stature.”
“Surpass the Banks Family?”
