Zayne frowned and inquired, “Fitz, what are your thoughts on that girl from the Sun family?”

“No, Dad,” Fitz quickly waved his hand, “I just admire her, that’s all.”

Zayne nodded thoughtfully and replied, “The Sun girl is truly impressive. If you have feelings for her, I won’t stand in your way. However, I worry your grandpa might look down on the Sun family, which could make things difficult.”

Hearing this, Fitz’s spirits lifted, and he eximed, “Dad, are you really okay with it?” Zara interjected, “Brother, are you really that oblivious? Can’t you tell Dad is just teasing you?”

“What?!” Fitz panicked and turned to Zayne, “Dad, what do you mean by that?”

Zayne sighed, looking serious. “Fitz, you’re not as clever as your sister!”

Fitz felt a wave of embarrassment wash over him. Zayne continued, “You are the son of the Banks Family and the heir to its future. The Sun family simply doesn’t measure up. Your grandfather will definitely disapprove, and so will I. Don’t forget, the Sun girl has been promised to Bruce’s son since they were children. Since Bruce and I are at odds, I will never allow you to marry someone from the Sun family.”

Fitz sighed, “Dad, when did this even happen? That promise is ancient history. Besides, didn’t Bruce’s son go missing years ago?”

Zayne looked at him solemnly, “That aside, your grandfather has talked to me about your marriage. He hopes that after we expand the Banks Family internationally, you can marry the eldest daughter of a prominent American family. This would be advantageous for our global growth. Domestically, you truly deserve someone of higher standing.”

Fitz, feeling anxious, retorted, “Dad, I’m not interested in American women.”

Zayne replied gravely, “Such matters aren’t about personal preference. It’s all about strategic matches, understand?”

Fitz felt a wave of frustration wash over him.

At this moment, Zara chimed in, “Dad, I’ll make it clear: I don’t care how you arrange my brother’s future, but my own marriage will not be influenced by anyone!”

Fitz eximed, “Hey, Zara! Are you really throwing your brother under the bus like that?”

“No,” Zara replied calmly. “Our situations are different. If I meet a man who makes my heart race, I’ll marry him, regardless of his background. The Banks family legacy won’t dictate my choices. I’ll raise my kids without the Banks surname, but you are expected to uphold the family name.”

Fitz was left speechless, clearly feeling downcast.

Zayne looked at Zara with a hint of exasperation and reminded her, “The condition for you to find someone is that they must be the right choice!”

Zara waved her hand dismissively, “What even is the ‘right choice’? It doesn’t exist. Whoever catches my eye, whether they are a prince or amoner, is my business.”

“That’s nonsense!” Zayne responded, annoyed. “What if you end up with someone who can’t provide for you? What’s guaranteed for your happiness then?”

Zara rolled her eyes, “I refuse to believe that my status as a Banks family member can’t shield me from a pauper’s troubles!”
