Tokyo is in turmoil right now.
The chaos persists.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is overwhelmed.
First, the Banks siblings were kidnapped, leading to the tragic deaths of a dozen individuals. Then, the Takahashi family stumbled upon several frozen bodies. To make matters worse, Takahashi’s son was burned alive in his car!
Each of these incidents, if isted, could easily be considered a major crime of the year.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Yet, all of this has urred in rapid session in Tokyo!
Moreover, nearly all the prominent families are implicated.
This situation feels like a humiliating blow to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, who are being relentlessly ridiculed!
Even more troubling, they have yet to uncover any valuable leads.
Despite their extensive search efforts throughout Tokyo, they have found no trace of the Banks siblings. They remainpletely in the dark about the perpetrator, not to mention the victims’ whereabouts.
As a result, the entire Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department seems utterly helpless.
Zayne is growing increasingly impatient.
With his son and daughter missing and their fates unknown, waiting endlessly for the inept Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to act is the greatest suffering he has ever experienced!
Just as he contemted reaching out to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to escte the situation into a significant diplomatic incident, he received an unexpected call from a local Japanese number.
Upon answering, he was greeted by his daughter Zara’s voice: “Dad, it’s me! Zara!”
His heart raced at the sound of her voice, and he eximed, “I know…”
Before he could finish, Zara quickly interrupted, saying, “Dad, is anyone else around you? If so, please don’t let them know I’m calling!”
Zayne scanned his surroundings. Aside from his own team, there were a few officials from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and some cab members nearby. He quickly adjusted his tone: “Do you know me? I’m very busy right now! If it’s not urgent, just hang up. Only tell me if it’s important!”
Zara replied, “Dad, my brother and I are safe now. We’ve been rescued, but we’re not in Tokyo—we’re in Kyoto.”
While Zayne felt a wave of relief, he couldn’t help but scowl at the ipetence of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.
“These foolish officers! They were so sure that the kidnapper was hiding in Tokyo and that it was unlikely they would leave the city!”<fnad08> Th? link to the orig?n of this information r?sts ?n fin?novel</fnad08>
“Furthermore, they insisted they had blocked all external traffic from Tokyo and were strictly checking anyone leaving the city. They assured me my children were definitely still in Tokyo, and that it would just take time to find them!”
“And where are they now?”
“In Kyoto, hundreds of kilometers away!”
“These fools deserve to have the word ‘idiot’ tattooed on their foreheads!”
However, Zayne recognized that now wasn’t the time for anger. He asked, “What do you need me to do?”
Zara responded, “Dad, please don’t inform the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. I have doubts about theirpetence, and they might leak information. I need you to send our own people to Kyoto to pick up me and my brother.”
Zayne immediately replied, “Understood!”
Zara added, “Also, Dad! The kidnapper is Ryoto Matsumoto from Tokyo! He nned to kill us and frame Yuhiko Ito, so he brought us to Kyoto!”
“What?!” Zayne’s voice turned dark: “It’s him?!”
