    Donald, visibly shaken, quickly waved his hands in protest, saying, “Master Wade, please don’t say that! This whole situation is entirely the doing of Christopher and Harold. They told me they were kidnapping ine and didn’t mention it was Ms. Wade they had tied up. I only realized the truth once I arrived!”


    Charlie pointed at Cynthia and asked Donald, “Did you hit her earlier?”


    Donald appeared to be on the verge of copse as he choked out, “I was wrong… I truly had no idea about Ms. Wade’s true identity…”


    Charlie smirked and asked, “Is it entertaining to be part of the Wade family?”


    Donald shook his head vigorously, like a rattle.


    Cynthia stood there, her expression darkening.


    Donald, now panicked, stammered, “Master Wade, I honestly didn’t know your identity or Ms. Wade’s. If I had, I wouldn’t have dared to think poorly of either of you…”


    Charlie turned to Donald and inquired, “Mr. Webb, have you considered what will happen to the Webb family after today?”
