Fitz nodded gently, still feeling a bit uncertain, and whispered, “I’ve heard that Stefanie might have a marriage contract with a younger member of the Wade family. If I confess my feelings to her, do you think she could agree?”
Zara attempted to reassure him, “Oh,e on, brother! Why are you acting so delicate?”
“Stop overthinking it; you don’t want to second-guess yourself!”
“Besides, even if she does have a marriage contract, so what? It was Bruce’s son who was supposed to marry her. After the Bruce couple were tragically killed years ago, he vanished without a trace. We don’t even know if he’s still alive, so how could hee back to marry Stefanie?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Zara continued, “Just focus on being yourself and putting your best foot forward. You’re the eldest son of the Banks Family. In terms of wealth, few canpete with you in the country. You’re handsome, well-educated, and I believe you’re more than capable of being with Stefanie.”
Fitz sighed, “Actually, there’s something else you might not be aware of.”
Zara inquired, “What is it?”
Fitz exined, “Dad and Bruce have always had a tumultuous rtionship. To counter Bruce’s formidable influence, Dad even formed an anti-Wade alliance back in the day. The animosity between them runs deep. Since Stefanie’s father is close to Bruce, I’m concerned that he might hold a bias against the Banks Family.”
Zara frowned, acknowledging, “I know Dad and Bruce didn’t get along. I heard my uncle mention it, but Bruce and Orrin are brothers, and I’ve never heard of…”
She paused and then said, “But that was so long ago; I doubt he still holds onto that grudge. Even if he has some biases, it’s against your dad, not us younger ones. Plus, Stefanie is his only daughter. If she truly likes you, I believe he would respect her choice. Don’t you think?”
Feeling somewhat reassured by her words, Fitz nodded. “What you said makes sense… I’ll give it a shot!”
Zara smiled encouragingly, “You need to have more confidence! So many women are eager to marry you, and some may even have better credentials than Stefanie. There’s no reason for you to feel inferior!”
Fitz chuckled softly, “I appreciate that, but I still feel a bit anxious.”
Zara replied earnestly, “That’s a mindset issue;cking self-confidence is the core problem! If I fall for a guy in the future, I won’t ever feel inferior. Even if he’s a prince from the Middle East, I won’t feel less than him!”
Sheughed and added, “Honestly, princes aren’t that impressive. I’m not really into foreign guys, and even if a prince stood in front of me, I’d still regard him as just another man!”
“A prince may seem powerful, with family assets in the hundreds of billions, but there are so many princes out there that when you average it out, each has about a billion. That’s pocket change for me!”<fnfa13> Original content can be found at find·novel</fnfa13>
Fitz looked at Zara, chuckling lightly, then said with sincerity, “Sometimes I really wish I could adopt your carefree attitude. You just live life so freely.”
Zara shot back, “Are youplimenting me or throwing shade?”
“I’m praising you!” Fitz insisted. “Being the eldest son and grandson, I’ve always been restrained by my grandfather and dad. My personality has been smoothed out over the years, leaving me without any resistance. Unlike you, who can stand up to anyone!”
Zara replied, “We’re in different positions, after all. You’re the one who will inherit the family, so you have to be more reserved. I can afford to be a little reckless.”
Fitz nodded and then asked her, “By the way, how is your search for the Mystery Man going?”
Zara sighed, “I just got surveince footage from several major airports in Japan and am going through them one by one. At this rate, I’ll be lucky to find him by my 30th birthday. I’m still brainstorming for a solid n.”
She quickly added, “Oh, and I’ll bring the surveince footage over to your ce today. You must help me sort it out when you get home!”
