Yet, despite her frantic cries, no one showed her anypassion or sympathy.

Jacob nodded in response and remarked, “The main fault doesn’t lie with you, but you do share some responsibility. This is a ssic case of mismanagement.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
With a sigh, Jacob added, “In the end, it just shows that your judgment isn’t quite up to par.”
The manager nodded repeatedly, clearly embarrassed. “You’re absolutely right. I’ll make sure to improve in the future!”
Jacob ced a reassuring hand on his shoulder, speaking like a mentor to a novice, “Just work on sharpening your skills!”
“Yes, yes, absolutely!” the manager replied, nodding eagerly before calling over a cashier who had just returned from dinner. “Jonathan,e quickly and process the payment for these two customers! They’ve been kept waiting for too long!”
Jonathan hurried over, logged into theputer, and assisted Charlie and Jacob with their payment.
This incident marked a first in thepany’s history, highlighting theirmitment to customer service.
After being unceremoniously removed from the supermarket, Hannah hadn’t eaten in hours and was on the brink of fainting from hunger, feeling lightheaded and weak.
With no energy left for a temporary job, she made her way home on foot.
Once back at the Thompson First vi, Hannah sank onto the sofa, too exhausted to even lift her eyelids.
“Why are you back?” someone from her family asked.
Hannah muttered angrily, “Forget it! Ugh! This is so infuriating!”
Wendy quickly inquired, “Mom, what happened?”
With red-rimmed eyes, Hannah choked out her story, “I went out with your grandmother to search for a job. It turns out supermarkets are hiring a lot of temporary workers, offering daily wages. While we were there, they assigned your grandmother to help customers in the vegetable section, and I was set to be a cashier. But then….”
Hannah’s voice broke as she continued, “Who would have thought I’d run into Jacob and Charlie, those two jerks! They’ve ruined my chance at a job…”
Wendy clenched her teeth in anger. “They’ve gone too far! How can they treat people like this?”
Wendy then asked urgently, “Mom, are you going to get paid for that half day? If so, could you give me some of it? I can buy a few steamed buns and cook two dishes to bring home…”
At this moment, Wendy’s eyes filled with tears as she added, “Dad and my brother have been crying in bed from hunger. It’s so heartbreaking…”
Hearing this, Hannah wailed and beat her chest in despair, “It’s all because of that jerk Jacob! I got kicked out by the manager and worked all morning without earning a single penny!”
