The Amazing son in law Chapter 2016

The police officer addressed Lady Wilson, saying, “Madam, if your son’s wife only took two hundred from you, we cannot file a case regarding this matter.”

Although the officer was merely using a television as aparison, Lady Wilson’s mind raced back to the time she had sold a TV at Donald’s vi alongside Harold and Christopher. Fear gripped her, and she nervously inquired, “Comrade police officer, how long would the sentence be for stealing a TV valued at one hundred thousand?”

The officer replied earnestly, “If the TV is genuinely worth one hundred thousand, that constitutes a significant amount. As long as the theft exceeds sixty thousand, the base sentence is ten years. Additionally, for every four thousand two hundred dors over that amount, the sentence increases by one month. Therefore, if a TV is worth one hundred thousand, the sentence could be nearly eleven years of imprisonment.”

“What?!” Lady Wilson eximed in shock!

    “Eleven years for stealing a TV?! That’s terrifying, isn’t it?!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

“Thank goodness Donald didn’t call the police at that time! At my age, I could have easily died in prison from old age…”

Meanwhile, in the house, Jacob and Harold, who were lying on the bed, shared the same fear upon hearing this conversation.

Harold trembled in fear, and beside him, Christopher noticed a dampness on the sheets and asked, “Harold… Why did you wet the bed?”

With a distressed expression, Harold whispered, “Dad, I’m scared… Eleven years for stealing a TV is just too frightening…”

Christopher sighed, feeling helpless. “I understand it’s scary, but please don’t wet the bed! Now my pants are soaked…”

    Harold’s lips quivered as he replied, “Dad… I’m really sorry… I couldn’t hold it in… I promise it won’t happen again…”

Christopher nodded, feeling disheartened. “Let’s just listen to what the police officers have to say. Your grandmother is being unreasonable, calling the police over two hundred dors! What’s the point? If we identally mention the TV sale again, we could drag everyone into this mess…”

At that moment, Lady Wilson felt a wave of panic wash over her.

She hadn’t realized that Hannah stealing two hundred dors wasn’t even enough to warrant a police case. Yet, the thought of her own family stealing and selling Donald’s TV could lead to a sentence of over ten years was truly terrifying.

The officer noticed Lady Wilson’s troubled expression and assumed she was merely upset. “And?”

Lady Wilson sighed heavily, “Well, that settles it. It’s too lenient for that son of a b*tch!”

The police officer nodded in agreement. “It’s good that you can think that way. If there’s nothing else, we will take our leave.”

Just then, Wendy arrived with a marriage certificate and said, “Officer, here’s the marriage certificate for you.”

Lady Wilson, exasperated, retorted, “What on earth do you need a marriage certificate for? Hurry up and send a few officers down!”<fn5467> Newest update provided by Find★Novel</fn5467>
