The Charlie family next door had been busy preparing their New Year’s Eve dinner since early afternoon.
The kitchen was a bustling scene, with various ingredients scattered across the console.
Charlie, known for his exceptional cooking skills, took on the role of head chef for the evening’s festivities.
Meanwhile, Jacob was diligently chopping the filling for the dumplings by hand.
All four family members pitched in, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere in the kitchen.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
As evening fell, one delicious dish after another made its way to the dining table.
In the A04 vi, Gena and the three women were also hard at work in the kitchen.
In addition to preparing noodles and meat for dumplings, they had purchased a chicken, a fish, and two pounds of ribs, along with a variety of meat and vegetable dishes.
Gena felt fortunate to live in such a lovely vi, so she had also bought an incense burner, some incense sticks, and a modest portrait of Buddha.
Before they sat down to eat, Gena gathered Samantha and Yadira to kneel in front of the Buddha’s portrait.
Holding three incense sticks, Gena spoke with deep reverence, “Buddha, who alleviates suffering, we thank you for blessing us three sisters, allowing us to reside in this beautiful vi and enjoy a life we once thought was unattainable. We promise to work diligently in the future and avoidziness. Additionally, I ask you to continue to bless us with an even better life!”
Samantha and Yadira stood beside her, mirroring her actions as they held up their incense sticks and echoed, “Buddha, who alleviates suffering, please bless us!”
Following their prayers, the trio bowed three times before the Buddha.
Once they finished their bows, Gena stood up and led the way in cing the incense sticks into the burner. After Samantha and Yadira followed suit, she dered with a satisfied smile, “Alright, sisters, it’s time for our New Year’s Eve dinner!”
In unison, they replied, “Absolutely!”
As the three of them headed to the dining table, Wendy and Lady Wilson were hiding just around the corner of the stairs, watching intently.
The enticing aroma of the rice wafted through the air, luring them to peek at the kitchen.
Although Lady Wilson had intended to save the leftovers from the previous day for their New Year’s Eve meal, the four individuals could no longer resist their hunger and had finished them all shortly after dark.
With only a small amount left and each person still feeling hungry, they were longing for something more.
As they observed the three women preparing a delightful spread of home-cooked food, Lady Wilson and Wendy couldn’t help but drool in anticipation.
When the women began eating, Wendy leaned closer to Lady Wilson and whispered, “Grandmother, do you think they might leave any leftovers?”
Lady Wilson shook her head as she swallowed hard, “I’m not sure, but I hope so…”<fn0b76> Read full story at FιndNovel</fn0b76>
Wendy expressed her frustration, “If only they could spare a couple of ribs and a bowl of rice! I’m worried they’ll eat it all…”
As she spoke, tears began to well up in her eyes.
Lady Wilson focused on the incense burner before Guanyin Bodhisattva and replied earnestly, “Don’t fret, Wendy. Have you noticed that incense burner? It’s filled with rice! Once they retire to their rooms for the night, we’ll use that rice to make porridge!”
