Ito Yuuhiko’s remarks caught Charlie’s full attention.
He opened his mouth to inquire, “Mr. Ito, do you have a good rtionship with the chairman of New Nippon Steel?”
“Yes!” Ito Yuhiko replied earnestly. “The chairman’s name is Watanabe Shinwa, and we are quite close.”
Charlie nodded, then said, “Could you please ask him if he’s nning to coborate with a Chinesepany for a factory project? If so, could you find out whichpany he’s partnering with and whether the deal is finalized?”
Without hesitation, Ito Yuhiko responded, “Of course, Mr. Wade. I’ll reach out to him immediately.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Jasmine quickly turned to Charlie and asked, “Charlie, are you suspecting that something might be off with Mr. Watanabe?”
Charlie shook his head, “It’s not just Watanabe Shinwa; the vice chairman who suggested you meet him is also under suspicion. Both could potentially be involved, or they might bepletely innocent.”
Jasmine nodded quietly, understanding the gravity of the situation. She recognized that this matter was beyond her control, and since Charlie hade to Japan for his own purposes, she would defer to his judgment.
Upon hearing that there might be a concern, Ito Yuuhiko quickly reassured Charlie, “Mr. Wade, I know Watanabe Shinwa very well. While his business methods can be a bit shrewd, he’s fundamentally an honest individual. I truly believe he isn’t involved in the situation regarding Miss Moore’s murder.”
With a slight smile, Charlie replied, “Mr. Ito, it’s not that I doubt your word, but given the seriousness of this issue, we need to proceed with caution. Please inquire with Watanabe Shinwa, but do so in a way that doesn’t raise any suspicions.”<fn68c1> Content originallyes from ?ovelFind</fn68c1>
Ito Yuuhiko nodded and promptly took out his phone, locating Watanabe Shinwa’s number and dialing it.
The call connected quickly, and a sleepy voice answered, “Hey, Ito, what’s with the early call, you rascal?”
Yuuhiko Ito chuckled, “Where are you right now, Watanabe?”
Shinwa Watanabe yawned, “I’m still in bed, where else would I be? If it’s not urgent, let me catch a few more Zs…”
Ito Yuhiko then said, “I heard you might be coborating with a Chinesepany. Is there any specific firm you’re considering?”
Watanabe Shinwa responded with curiosity, “What? Are you getting into the steel industry too?”
Yuuhiko Ito rified, “Not at all! I was just asking. I have some connections in China, and if you haven’t finalized a partnership yet, I might be able to assist you.”
Shinwa Watanabe replied, “We have been exploring some partnerships with significant Chinesepanies, but I’m leaving those discussions to Hashimoto.”
Yuuhiko Ito inquired, “Hashimoto? You mean Hashimoto Konzen, right?”
“Yes,” Watanabe Shinwa affirmed with a smile. “Honestly, this factory coboration isn’t a huge deal for the entire Nippon Steel. I typically don’t get involved directly, but if you have a friend interested, I can certainly help facilitate.”
Ito Yuhiko smiled back, “I appreciate that, but has Hashimoto already chosen a partner? If he has a solid candidate, it might not be appropriate for me to intervene.”
Watanabe Shinwa replied casually, “Don’t worry about whether Hashimoto is suitable or not. He’s just a senior staff member. If I don’t ask, he’ll make the decisions; if I do ask, he’ll simply follow my lead.”
Ito Yuuhikoughed, “Got it! I’ll touch base with my friend and reach out if needed.”
Shinwa Watanabe then said, “You’re not holding anything else, right? If not, I’ll hang up and go back to sleep!”
“Sure, enjoy your rest!”
After ending the call, Ito Yuuhiko turned to Charlie and said, “Mr. Wade, it seems Watanabe genuinely isn’t aware of any issues. He didn’t even bring up the coboration with Miss Moore or Hashimoto Konzen, so it’s hard to see how he could be involved in her murder.”
