The woman on the other end of the line spoke in a calm voice, “Since Lord Moore is staying at the Aman Hotel, please, Lord Moore, make your way to the rooftop now.”
“Rooftop?” Rueben frowned, “What do you need me to go up there for?”
The woman replied, “A helicopter is waiting for you on the rooftop.”
“Helicopter?” Rueben’s expression shifted to one of surprise tinged with disdain.
In his mind, he thought, “Charlie and his crew are quite predictable. What kind of helicopter are they using to pick me up in the city? Seems like they have money to burn, but no clue how to spend it wisely. Renting a helicopter to impress me? How low could it get?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
With that thought, he smirked condescendingly and said, “In that case, please let the rooftop crew know I’ll be up shortly.”
“Certainly, I’ll be waiting for Lord Moore on the rooftop,” the woman assured him.
After hanging up, Rueben let out a derisiveugh. “Hmph, Charlie is quite amusing. I said I’d meet him, but now I have to wait for his friend to pick me up—using a helicopter no less! Do they think I’ve never experienced anything beyond their little world? A helicopter as a bluff? Please.”
The assistant smiled slightly and remarked, “Lord Moore, in my opinion, Charlie is nothing more than a firefly trying topete with you, the sun and the moon. It’s rather ungrateful of him!”
Rueben chuckled, “Ohe on, Charlie does have some skills. That rejuvenation pill he’s got is quite impressive! I wish I could get my hands on one when I’m older…”
“Of course, Lord Moore!”
Rueben and his trusted assistant made their way to the rooftop of the Aman Hotel.
Upon reaching the rooftop, Rueben noticed a sleek ck helicopter parked on the helipad.
He gazed at the aircraft with mild surprise and remarked, “Wow, Charlie and his friend must really be willing to spend some cash. This Super Puma helicopter has a factory price of over one hundred fifty million. With a few modifications, it could easily exceed two hundred million. Renting it for a short trip must cost hundreds of thousands.”
The assistantughed, “Spending that much just to show off to Lord Moore? Charlie Wade is certainly misguided!”
“Indeed,” Rueben smirked. “Did you catch those three letters on the helicopter’s fusge?”
The assistant squinted at the white letters on the ck body and read, “i-t-o? Lord Moore, what does that stand for? It doesn’t seem to be an English word.”
Rueben smiled and exined, “It’s not English; it’s Japanese romanization. Those four letters, i-t-o, are pronounced as ‘Ito’.”
“I-To?” The assistant frowned, “What does that mean, Lord Moore? It sounds a bit odd.”<fn6205> Find the newest release on FιndNovel</fn6205>
Rueben replied earnestly, “You really need to expand your knowledge. Those three letters correspond to the Japanese word ‘Ito,’ which indicates that this helicopter belongs to thergest family in Japan—the Ito family.”
“Huh?!” The assistant eximed, “It’s the Ito family’s helicopter?! Wow, does Charlie really have connections with the Ito family?”
Rueben scoffed, “Him? With the Ito family? I doubt he’s worthy of that.”
The assistant looked puzzled and asked, “So what’s the significance of the helicopter?”
Rueben smiled knowingly, “You really don’t understand, do you? The Ito family has a vast empire across various industries in Japan, including a navigationpany called ‘Ito Navigation’!”
“Ito Navigation?”
“Exactly!” Rueben rified. “This navigationpany specializes in short and medium-distance flights and operates over two hundred aircraft, including more than a hundred helicopters. They’re quite powerful!”
“So you think Charlie and his friend rented this helicopter from Ito Navigation?” the assistant asked.
The assistant nodded with a smile. “I get it now! When you said the helicopter belonged to the Ito family, I was worried that Charlie’s friend might actually be part of that family.”
Rueben sneered, “I told you he doesn’t stand a chance of knowing anyone in the Ito family! The Ito family today is like our domestic Banks family. A guy like Charlie, who got lucky with some feng shui, isn’t even worthy of shining their shoes!”</pwith>
