**Ito House in Downtown Tokyo**
Charlie and Jasmine are all set to embark on their journey. Tonight presents a prime opportunity for smuggling, as the Coast Guard patrol unit will be busy overhauling their equipment. This means there will be several hours of reduced activity at sea.
The Japanese Coast Guard is known for its stringent regtions regarding entry and exit. Their primary focus is on cracking down on illegal immigration and the smuggling of illicit goods into Japan.
I have little interest in smuggling people or items out of Japan, which makes leaving Tokyo that much easier.
Ito Yuihiko had arranged for a convoy and nned to personally escort Charlie and Jasmine to the dock. Nanako Ito shared this sentiment. While she felt a deep reluctance to part with Charlie, she understood that she would never be able to leave him behind.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Thus, she tookfort in the fact that she could apany him to the dock.
Once everyone was prepared, Charlie and Jasmine boarded a bus with Ito Yuihiko and Nanako Ito, heading toward the pier.
During the ride, Ito Yuihiko informed Charlie, “Mr. Wade, Nippon Steel’s Hashimoto, Jinxian, has already been taken to the dock by the ninja I sent.”
Charlie nodded, pleased. “Thank you, Mr. Ito.”
Ito Yuihiko quickly replied, “There’s no need for such formality, Mr. Wade. It’s my duty.”
After a forty-minute drive, they arrived at the expansive Port of Tokyo, which spans several kilometers along the coastline.
Most berths at the port cater torge oil tankers and container ships. These areas are bustling with workers and are notorious for smuggling, resulting in strict customs inspections.
The berth Ito arranged for Charlie and Jasmine was a smaller, simpler wharf that could only amodate ships under a few thousand tons, allowing for more lenient monitoring.
In reality, smuggling doesn’t begin at the docks, as the Port of Tokyo lies within Japan’s territorial waters. Departing from here is not illegal, provided one doesn’t leave the country without permission or venture into international waters uwfully.
As they approached the pier, several small to medium-sized yachts were docked, thergest being a luxury cruise ship that Ito Takehiko had prepared for Charlie.
The convoy drove directly to the pier, stopping at the yacht’s boarding gate. Despite losing his legs, Ito Yuihiko was supported in a wheelchair as he sent them off.
Once Charlie and Jasmine disembarked, Ito Yuihiko reassured them, “Mr. Wade, the crew and captain are my trusted associates. You can rest assured!”
Charlie nodded appreciatively. “Thank you, Mr. Ito.”
Ito Yuihiko insisted, “There’s no need for such politeness!”
ncing at the time, Charlie addressed the Ito family, “It’s gettingte; we should hurry. We’ll have more time to talkter!”
Yuihiko Ito sped his hands together respectfully. “Mr. Wade, we will meet again soon!”
Nanako Ito, with a touch of sadness, added, “Charlie, there will be a periodter!”
Charlie turned to her with a smile. “Nanako, please take care of yourself!”<fn0e1c> ??? ????? ???????s ??? ?????s??? ?? find·novel</fn0e1c>
