Once the boat departed from the dock, it headed straight toward the vast open sea. With Hashimoto confined in a cabin on the lower deck, Charlie decided it would be a good idea to bring Jasmine down to meet him for a bit. The sailor on board guided the two of them to the lower cabin and opened one of the doors.
Inside, they found a man d in a luxurious wool suit. He was firmly secured to a chair: his hands were bound to the chair’s arms, and his legs were strapped to the front legs. A ck bag covered his head entirely, obscuring his identity.
Charlie deduced that this must be Hashimoto.
As a precaution, Ito Yuhiko’s men had used sturdy steel pipes to secure each of Hashimoto’s fingers, fastening them to the armrests. This meant that Hashimoto Jinxian couldn’t even bend his fingers, making any escape impossible. Additionally, a guard with a stun gun stood watch beside him, ensuring tight security.
Noticing Charlie’s entrance, the guard immediately straightened up and said, “Mr. Wade, you’re here!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Charlie nodded and inquired, “Is this Hashimoto Kinzen?”
“Yes!” The guard responded eagerly, tearing off the bag that covered Hashimoto’s head. “Mr. Wade, this is Hashimoto! We’ve already put him through a thorough check!”
At that moment, Hashimoto Kinxian was still adjusting to the bright lights. With a towel stuffed in his mouth, he couldn’t speak, only manage muffled sounds while struggling against his restraints.
Watching him squirm, Charlie chuckled and remarked, “You’re being overly cautious. Tying his hands and feet is enough; there was no need to secure every finger. It’s clear Mr. Hashimoto is a bit anxious.”
The guard replied respectfully, “Mr. Wade, you might not realize this, but in films and shows, viins often overlook the protagonist’s hands. Regardless of how well the protagonist is tied up, they can always find a way to escape. That’s why we decided to secure all ten of this guy’s fingers with steel pipes—so even a master escape artist wouldn’t be able to break free!”
Charlieughed, gesturing toward Hashimoto Kinzin. “Well, if that’s the case, he certainly doesn’t measure up to a film protagonist.”
As Hashimoto gradually regained his sight, the first person he saw was Charlie, who was pointing at him.
In that moment, Hashimoto was taken aback. “Who is this man?! Did he orchestrate my kidnapping? Have I offended him?”
Charlie then reached over and removed the towel from Hashimoto’s mouth, speaking coldly, “Hashimoto, do you know why you’re tied up like this?”
Hashimoto instinctively protested, “Who are you?! I don’t even know you! Why would you have someone kidnap me?!”
Charlie was surprised by Hashimoto’s defiance. He responded with a sharp p and scolded, “You think you’re so clever? Don’t you know the sordid and shameless acts you’vemitted? How dare you question me?”<fn5d62> ??? ????? ???????s ??? ?????s??? ?? f?i?n?d?n?o?v?e?l?</fn5d62>
Hashimoto stammered, “I…I am aw-abiding citizen of Japan! I’m the vice president of Nippon Steel Group! I’ve nevermitted any crimes! Do you realize kidnapping is a serious offense?!”
Charlie pped him again, saying, “Is it a serious offense? Fine, then take a look at her and tell me which is worse: kidnapping or murder?”
With that, he pulled Jasmine close to him. The moment Hashimoto Jinxianid eyes on Jasmine, he was visibly shocked and rendered speechless!
