“One opening is five million. If he really said that, then I will at least apany the wine for ten years in KTV!”
“Isn’t this driving me to despair?!”
Charlie spoke coldly when Teresa Fay remained silent. “Since you don’t agree, I’ll simply raise the price for you. I’ll start at 10 million. With Caesar and Don Albert watching you, if you can’te up with that amount, even if you’re the king of heaven, don’t count on being saved! You have three seconds to think this over!” With that, Charlie began the countdown.
“Three… two…”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Just as Charlie was about to count to “one,” Teresa Fay, panicking, eximed, “Mr. Wade, I promise, I promise…”
As the weight of her fate crashed down on her, she felt tears welling up, reminiscent of the girls who were coerced into KTV against their will.
At that moment, Charlie turned to Lloyd, a faint smile on his face, and said, “Lloyd, Teresa has already made arrangements, so it’s time to sort out your escape route.”
Lloyd thought desperately, “This is Teresa Fay. She’s in such a dreadful situation; my mother must be struggling too. If I don’te up with a solution, will I end up like her?”
With that thought, he began to bow repeatedly, pleading, “Master Wade, I’m willing to be your servant, to toil like a horse. I beg you, please spare me this time… please…”
Charlie waved his hand dismissively, “Don’t bother with empty words. When you two trapped those innocent women, did you think of showing them mercy?”
Charlie scoffed, “Since Teresa Fay is destined for KTV, then you can join her as a tortoise. You’ll both be stuck there until you earn five million, at which point you can be free again. This way, you two can support each other through this ordeal.”
“Be a tortoise?!” The moment Lloyd heard those words, his face nched.
A tortoise was a term used for a man who did menial tasks in a brothel back in the day. To put it inly, he wouldn’t even rank as a security guard at a nursing home.
Typically, the tortoise’s job was the dirtiest and most thankless, akin to handing out toilet paper to guests who had just washed their hands at a KTV. In fact, this position was considered lower than even the dog guarding the entrance. The thought sent Lloyd into a spiral of despair, and he broke down, “Master Wade, please don’t reduce me to that. I’ll be loyal to you, no matter themand, just please don’t send me to KTV to do that… I know many people on Aurous Hill Road, and KTV is where the Taoists frequent. If they see me there, my reputation will be ruined…”
Charlie chuckled, “What are you worried about? If you be a tortoise at KTV, just set up a small tray by the sink, fill it with a few banknotes, and ask guests for tips while handing them paper towels. You’ve been in this game long enough; your acquaintances will surely take care of you. You might even make that five million faster than Teresa Fay.” <fn1a8c> Fresh chapters posted on FindN()vel</fn1a8c>
“I… I…” Lloyd couldn’t help but wish he could just vanish right then and there.
Inwardly, hemented, “Here I am, Lloyd, once considered the top figure on Aurous Hill Road. While I may notpare to Caesar, I’m at least a significant yer!”
“Now, being reduced to a mere tortoise at KTV wouldpletely humiliate me on Aurous Hill! What if I run into someone I know? They’d see me bowing and scraping at the toilet door, handing out paper towels to guests. They might just beat me to a pulp!”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
