The Amazing son in law Chapter 2376

Previously, Doris’s parents had considered various suitable suitors for her. Mr. Young even expressed interest in introducing one of her esteemed students to her, but Doris didn’t even allow the chance for them to meet or share a meal.

Now, Doris Young noticed that her mother seemed to hold a favorable opinion of Charlie. With her desire to distance herself from him, it was likely that her mother would want to inquire about Charlie’s personal details or perhaps even gauge their rtionship a bit more closely.

Worried, she quickly interjected, “Mom, Charlie is quite young. There’s an age gap between you two. If you can’t findmon ground, please don’t put him in an awkward position!”

Sydney responded promptly, “What do you mean by that? I told your dad that while the age difference is there, we also get along well with younger folks.”

At that moment, Charlie smiled and said, “It’s perfectly fine, Ms. Young. Why don’t you go shopping? Don’t keep your uncle waiting for his meal. I’ll spend some time chatting with your parents.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Doris felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her. She was concerned that her mother might say something inappropriate or pry into Charlie’s life in front of him. However, since Charlie had offered to stay with her parents, she felt there was no option but to relent.<fnfeb8> ???s ??????? ?s ?????? ?? Find?Novel</fnfeb8>

With no other choice, she told Charlie, “Thank you for keeping my parentspany. I’ll be back shortly.” Then, she suddenly remembered something and asked, “It’s gettingte. I hope I’m not making you wait too long?”

Charlie waved his hand dismissively, “Not at all, you should go ahead.”

Doris nodded, “Alright, I’ll head out now.”

Before leaving, she turned to her mother, “Mom, please don’t ask Charlie too many questions. I’ll be back soon!”

Sydney waved her off with a smile, “Oh, don’t worry! I can chat with anyone. Just a little conversation, that’s all. You go on now!”

Nervously, Doris left the room. As soon as she was gone, Sydney turned to Charlie with a warm smile and asked, “Mr. Wade, how old are you this year?”

Sydney held a positive view of Charlie, not just because he had helped her family significantly by saving her husband, but also due to his good looks and impressive talents. She thought that he and her daughter Doris would make a great couple, making him a worthy candidate for a son-inw.

Unaware of Sydney’s thoughts, Charlie quickly replied with a smile, “Auntie, please don’t feel you need to be formal. Just call me Charlie. I’m about to turn 27.”

Sydney nodded with a smile, “I won’t be formal with you! So, Charlie, what do you do for a living?”

Charlie hesitated, “What do I do? I used to be a full-time homemaker, but now ine has taken over that role.”

“But since she’s injured her leg, I do help out a bit.”

“In a way, I’ve moved on from being a live-in son-inw. So what would I call my current job? A private entrepreneur?”

“Yes, I suppose I’m almost a private entrepreneur. After all, I have the Emgrand Group and Oracle Pharmaceutical.”

With that thought in mind, Charlie smiled and added, “Auntie, I currently own two small businesses, so you could say I’m self-employed.”

Upon hearing this, Sydney smiled back, “Being self-employed is a good thing! Even if self-employment doesn’t bring in a huge ie, it offers a certain freedom! For young people today, what matters isn’t just how much you earn, but rather being happy and free!”

As she spoke, she couldn’t help but sigh, saying, “I’ve always told Doris not to chase after that entrepreneurial spirit too fiercely. Life can be wonderful even with less money; there’s no need to tire yourself out every day. But this girl just won’t listen.”

Then, looking at Charlie with a serious expression, Sydney continued, “Charlie, you must help me persuade her in the future. She should enjoy her youth, nurture good rtionships, and explore the world. Isn’t that better than working herself to the bone for money?”
