Charlie wore a hesitant expression. After a brief pause, he shook his head lightly and said, “Forget it. I do hold a grudge against the Banks Family, but it hasn’t been settled yet. I’ve saved members of the Banks family multiple times—Fitz, Zara, and Xion. Each of them owes me a life. If I act today, they’ll owe me five lives!”
Isaac Cameron couldn’t help but agree: “Exactly! They haven’t repaid you yet. You’ve kept rescuing their family members. It’s like a cruel joke from fate.”
Charlie sighed deeply. “What if Deana really has passed away? I’m worried that my father’s house will be up for auction again.”
Isaac Cameron replied, “I’m not sure. If Ms. Deana haspleted the payment and formalities, then the house would be her legacy. But if those formalities aren’t done, it’s likely that the judicial auction will open again soon.”
Charlie frowned, asking, “If it bes Deana’s legacy, who would be the primary heir?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Isaac Cameron answered, “I can’t say for sure, but it would likely be her husband or one of her sons, or perhaps they would share it.”
Charlie clenched his teeth and muttered angrily, “Damn it! The house where my parents lived—how can that scoundrel Zayne im half?”
Isaac Cameron quickly reassured him, “I’ll make some inquiries to see if the seconddy of the Thorne Family has finalized the procedures.”
Charlie nodded, his expression somber. “It seems that’s the only option we have.”
Just then, a white Rolls Royce Phantom pulled up in front of them, and a middle-aged man hurriedly stepped out. He approached the two and said respectfully, “Master, Mr. Cameron, I’ve brought the car. Would you like to drive yourselves, or should I take the wheel?”
Isaac Cameron replied, “I’ll drive. You can take a taxi back.”
The man nodded quickly, showing respect. “Understood, Mr. Cameron. I’ll head back now.”
Isaac Cameron opened the rear door for Charlie, saying, “Master, after you.”
Charlie climbed into the car, and Isaac Cameron took the driver’s seat. As he started the engine, he asked, “Master, where to? Home or somewhere else?”
Charlie thought for a moment before responding, “Take me home.”
“Sure thing,” Isaac Cameron replied, promptly steering the car toward Thompson First.<fn74e7> The source of th?s content is find(?)ovel</fn74e7>
Throughout the ride, Charlie remained deep in thought, frowning. Isaac Cameron, catching Charlie’s expression in the rearview mirror, couldn’t help but inquire, “Master, is something troubling you?”
Charlie nodded, gesturing with his chin. “I just can’t figure out who would want to attack them.”
Isaac Cameron replied, “The Banks Family has made many enemies. There are countless people who harbor hatred towards them.”
Charlie waved his hand dismissively. “While that may be true, it doesn’t quite fit the situation. Everyone knows that Zayne was brought to the old man of the Banks Family to avoid the spotlight. Now he’s in Australia, and I suspect the Banks Family won’t let him return. Zayne is essentially a deposed prince now. With him out of the picture, his wife and daughter hold little significance in the family. If someone truly wanted to harm the Banks Family, why would they target these two?”
