    To prevent any further disturbances, he lightly tapped Deana’s forehead to ensure she wouldn’t awaken anytime soon. Just as he finished, loud noises echoed from the other end of the tunnel.


    “Master, the tunnel entrance is clearing the obstacles; we need to evacuate now!” Isaac Cameron called out urgently.


    Charlie nodded in response. He firstid Zara down briefly before hoisting her onto his left shoulder with one hand. With his other hand, he lifted the unconscious Deana onto his right shoulder and instructed Isaac Cameron, “Let’s go!”

The hotel had previously housed Xion and a few crew members who had betrayed the Banks Family, but the executive floor remained mostly vacant. Staff quickly prepared thergest executive suite for Deana and Zara.


    Twenty minutester, the helicopter touched down on the helipad atop the Shangri-La. By this time, the entire upper level had been thoroughly secured. From the top floor to the isted administrative level, only Isaac Cameron’s most trusted subordinates were present—no hotel staff in sight. Charlie carried the mother and daughter directly to the room that Isaac had arranged for them.


    Once he settled them in, Charlie checked the time and advised Isaac Cameron, “I expect they’ll wake up after 8 o’clock tonight. Please arrange for a few trustworthy female staff to attend to them.”
