When Hank uttered those words, Charlie realized that persuading him to cooperate was out of the question.

Moreover, Charlie understood an important principle: a gentleman does not impose difficulties on others.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

He refrained from pressing further and responded earnestly, “Professor Hank, Ipletely understand your perspective. I apologize for my previous thoughtlessness.”

Hank quickly waved his hand, saying, “There’s no need to me yourself. This is my own internal struggle. I made a promise to myte wife, and I must honor it. Please don’t hold it against me.”

Charlie replied, “Of course not, Professor Hank. I fully respect your decision.”

Hank smiled appreciatively before pondering something. He said, “Charlie, if you’re looking to secure an absolute advantage for the Leaves family and the home front against the Soviets, you actually don’t need to get personally involved in ocean shipping.”

Curious, Charlie asked, “What do you mean, Professor Hank?”

Hank responded earnestly, “I believe you should go to the United States and seek out your grandfather. With him backing you, you won’t have to worry about the Banks family or the Wade family. Even though the Banks and Wade families are intertwined, they won’t be able topete with your grandfather.”

Charlie was taken aback and eximed, “Professor Hank, does my grandpa really have such immense power?”

Hank affirmed, “Power? It’s beyond just being powerful! There are three major wealthy families globally: the Rothschild family from Europe, the Saudi royal family from the Middle East, and your grandfather’s family in China.”

He continued, “Do you have any idea how much wealth your mother generated for your grandfather’s family?”

Charlie shook his head, feeling a bit embarrassed. “Professor Hank, I don’t know much about my grandfather’s family. I was too young back then, and while my mother took me to visit him several times, I didn’t get to know him well. Additionally, my mother’s rtionship with my grandfather wasn’t particrly good in my memory.”

Hank nodded, saying, “When your parents got together and your mother wanted to return to China to marry into the Wade family, your grandfather was quite unhappy. He didn’t think much of the Wade family and felt they were not worthy of being his inws.”

He added earnestly, “Your grandfather wasn’t wrong. At that time, the Wade family was indeed prominent in China but was not internationally recognized.”

Curiously, Charlie asked, “What kind of businesses does my grandfather’s family engage in?”

Hank replied with a hint of nostalgia, “Your grandfather’s family is involved in nearly every industry you can imagine. They have a presence in countless sectors worldwide, yet they remain incredibly discreet. They own thousands ofpanies globally, but on the surface, these enterprises appear unrted to them, and they rarely make public appearances, much like the Rothschild family.”

“Currently, the Rothschild family’s industries are not well-known to outsiders. The key is that they own multiple banks and hold significant shares in various financial institutions, often in a concealed manner.”

“Owning a bank is akin to controlling the financial sector, and almost allpanies today require financing and public offerings through banks.”

“Thus, a family of this magnitude naturally invests in numerous startups via various venture capital funds and stock funds. Most of the top 500panies in Europe and the United States have shares held by the Rothschild family, but their ownership structure is intricate and hidden from view.”

Having said this, Hank gazed at Charlie with admiration. “The operational strategy of your grandfather’s family is quite simr to that of the Rothschilds. As for how much wealth your grandpa has, it’s hard to quantify.”

“However, I do know that the venture capital fund your mother established in Silicon Valley over thirty years ago had a total fund pool exceeding 10 billion U.S. dors.”

“Many funds would struggle to raise that much capital; it would take countless wealthy individuals and retail investors. Yet, all the funds your mother used came from your grandfather’s family!”

“As Silicon Valley has developed over the years, it has birthed many Fortune 500panies and top tech entrepreneurs.”

“Companies like Google, Apple, Yahoo, Cisco, Oracle, and Te have all emerged from Silicon Valley.”

“Their market values have skyrocketed, sometimes increasing hundreds or even thousands of times!”

“Any stockholder who purchased Apple shares two decades ago would have seen returns more than three to four hundred times.”

“But did you know that your mother invested in Apple using the venture capital fund she set up before your birth?”
