The Amazing son inw Chapter 2644 (Charlie Wade)
2
CHAPTER 2644

A few minutester, Charlie’s helicopter touched down at Aurous Hill Airport.

At the far end of the airport runway, the Concorde was already stationed, ready for departure.
The pilot informed Charlie, “Young Master Charlie, the airport has indicated that the Concorde is prepared for take-off. Let’snd next to it so we can board immediately!”
“Understood!” Charlie replied, gaining a better understanding of what contributed to the sess of the prominent family—much of it stemmed from their solid support system.
For the average traveler, reaching Syria through conventional means would take at least 24 hours from the moment of boarding.
However, with suchprehensive support in ce, the travel time to Syria could be shortened to nearly six hours.
This eighteen-hour difference may seem trivial, akin to choosing between a flight ticket and a train ticket, but in the context of critical events, those extra hours could significantly alter oues.
As the helicopter descended, Charlie received an urgent call from Hank. “Charlie!” Hank eximed, panic evident in his voice.
Charlie, sensing the urgency, asked, “Uncle Hank, please calm down. What happened to Ziva Hank?”
“I just got word from a local contact that the military operation by the government forces failed today. Their troops were surrounded by the opposition, resulting in over a thousand casualties and nearly a hundred captured, including eight American youths, Ziva Hank among them!” Hank exined hastily.
“What?!” Charlie gasped, shocked. “Is this information confirmed?”
Hank responded nervously, “Yes, it has been confirmed. The government forces are gearing up for a military retaliation, but the opposition has demanded a ransom of 80 million U.S. dors from both the government and the U.S. Embassy. If their demands aren’t met, they threaten to execute Ziva Hank and the others!”
Charlie pressed, “Has the American embassy made any statements?”
Hank sighed, “They have condemned the opposition’s actions and stated they will notply with their demands. They insist that the hostages must be released, or else they will retaliate militarily.”
Charlie’s expression turned grave. “If that’s the case, it could provoke the opposition further.”
“Exactly,” Hank replied through gritted teeth. “My friend has connections at the U.S. Embassy. They seem indifferent to the fates of those eight young people!”
“They refuse to pay the ransom because they’ve made numerous enemies in the Middle East over the years. If they concede now, they fear it will set a dangerous precedent, so they prefer to address the situation at its roots instead.”
As he spoke, Hank’s voice choked with emotion. “The opposition is furious with the U.S. Embassy. They’ve given a deadline of six hours for the ransom, stating that starting from then, they will execute one hostage every half hour. I’m genuinely concerned, Charlie.”
In an attempt tofort him, Charlie said, “Uncle Hank, try not to be too anxious.”
“How can I not be worried?” Hankmented. “I’m on the verge of a heart attack!”
“I regret that Ziva Hank was born in the U.S. Had she been a Chinese citizen, she would have had more options for evacuation.”
“Unfortunately, she and her friends are all American citizens.”
Charlie reassured him, “Uncle Hank, let’s not dwell on the negatives. I’m heading to Syria immediately, and I will do everything I can to rescue your daughter. Please await my good news from China!”
