“Huh?! Isn’t that Felix being disintegrated by lightning?”

After hearing Charlie’s words, he instinctively nced at the spot where Felix had been turned to powder by the lightning, noticing a gray-brown object about the size of a duck egg lying on the ground.

He frowned in confusion and remarked, “What is thisrge relic? Could it be a kidney stone?”

“That’s not quite right…” Mai said, moving closer to pick up the gray-brown object.

After examining it closely for a moment, he gasped, “My God! This… this is Ambergris!”<fnc235> For more chapters visit fin?novel</fnc235>

“Ambergris?” Charlie asked, his brow furrowing. He had recently sought Mr. Quinton’s help in locating Ambergris, not anticipating that Felix would have a piece of it on him.

Nheless, Charlie was not overly concerned.

Ambergris is, after all, not a rare substance.

Wealthy individuals can purchase it at any time, provided they are willing to spend the money. I recall the first time I met Jack Yaleman at the Treasure Pavilion auction; there was a Songhe back-flow incense burner showcased in the Jumbo Pavilion. To enhance its selling price, the auctioneer even included two boxes of ambergris with it.

However, what Charlie required for alchemy was Ambergris that was at least ten thousand years old; anything less was meaningless to him.

He then said to Mai, “This piece doesn’t seem particrly special. I’m curious about what Felix was doing with it.”

Mai quickly interjected, “You don’t understand, Master Wade. If this were ordinary ambergris, it would have a waxy consistency, but this one is rtively mmable. Dry ambergris can be ignited easily. However, this specimen is quite unique.”

He continued, “After being struck by your lightning, even Felix’s flesh was reduced to powder, yet this ambergris remains intact. This indicates that it has undergone a transformation into a fossil!”

    “A fossil?!”

Charlie eximed, stepping closer to inquire, “Are you certain this is really a fossil?”

Mai handed the ambergris to Charlie and exined, “Look at it, Master Wade. It’s incredibly hard and dense now, far from waxy—more akin to a stone. The texture is quite distinctive, and I wouldn’t necessarily identify it as ambergris without further examination.”

Curious, Charlie asked, “Have you ever encountered a fossilized piece of Ambergris before?”

Mai responded quickly, “There have been a few, but they were found abroad and were purchased by mysterious individuals at exorbitant prices as soon as they became avable.”

Charlie pressed on, “Do you have any knowledge of Ambergris?”

Mai nodded, exining, “Ambergris possesses strong medicinal properties; it helps people clear their minds and fully rx, making it ideal for meditation. It is particrly beneficial when delving into the intricacies of the Book of Changes, which is why many feng shui masters highly value ambergris. Even those without much money will seek out incense containing it. I usually keep some on hand and have studied it a bit.”

After his exnation, Mai added, “Most ambergris avable in the market is derived from sperm whales, which are hunted in the deep sea. However, this ambergris tends to be rtively new.”

He paused momentarily and then continued, “In the past, some masters sought Ambergris that was thousands or even tens of thousands of years old for medicinal purposes.”

“But this kind of ambergris is exceedingly rare. The only way to find it is to venture to the ocean floor.”

“This scarcity is due to the fact that humans thousands of years agocked the means to hunt sperm whales. Back then, when sperm whales died, they sank to the ocean floor, creating a whale fall. After their bones were consumed by deep-sea creatures, the ambergris would remain buried in the seafloor’s sand.”

“However, locating a piece of ambergris buried for over 10,000 years is akin to searching for a needle in the ocean, making it nearly impossible. The ambergris fossils discovered previously are thought to have been trapped in rockyers tens of thousands of years ago, only to resurface due to geological movements in recent years.”

Charlie felt a surge of excitement. If this piece of Ambergris truly dated back tens of thousands of years as a fossil, it might fulfill the requirements for refining his cultivation pills!
The Amazing son inw Chapter 2997

The Amazing son inw Chapter 2998

The Amazing son inw Chapter 2997-2998
