The next day, Charlie and ire joined ine for a day of fun in New York City.
During lunch, Charlie engaged in conversation with the two of them. He mentioned that a client in New York had requested to meet him that evening to discuss something, but neither ire nor ine thought much of it. After all, Charlie’s “business” was quite demanding at the moment, and both women were already mentally prepared for whatever mighte.
After dinner, Charlie drove both ire and ine back to their hotel before heading to the Fei family’s private manor on Long Ind.
Initially, Charlie intended to visit Mr. Fei simply to express a long-held promise in front of Fei Kexin and to pledge his unwavering support for her throughout her life.
However, to Charlie’s surprise, Mr. Fei had informed all family members the night before about his visit, insisting that everyone in the immediate family, regardless of their location, return home to wee Charlie that evening.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Given that Jian was the second-inmand of the Fei family, no one dared to disregard his orders unless Fei Kexin voiced any objections.
As Charlie arrived at the Fei manor, he was taken aback to see that both sides of the road were lined with members of the Fei family.
At the end of the pathway stood Fei Kexin and Jian’s grandparents, waiting respectfully.
As soon as Charlie parked the car, Jian approached the door with Fei Kexin’s assistance.
Upon exiting the vehicle, Jian was the first to bow deeply, respectfully stating, “Congrattions to Mr. Wade on your visit!”<fnd3c0> The source of th?s content is f?i?n?d?n?o?v?e?l?</fnd3c0>
The surrounding Fei family members echoed in unison, “Congrattions to Mr. Wade on your visit!”
Among the crowd, Charlie recognized Jian’s eldest son, Zaki, Jamura’s grandfather, and Jamura’s father, Yogi.
Both Zaki and Yogi stood among the crowd, their expressions reflecting respect and humility, a stark contrast to their previous arrogance.
Additionally, there were some unfamiliar faces that Charlie had not seen before.
He hadn’t anticipated such a grand reception just for his visit to see Jian and Fei Kexin.
Charlie remarked in surprise, “Isn’t this wee a bit too extravagant?”
Jian looked at Charlie and replied respectfully, “Mr. Wade, you are a benefactor to the Fei family. Knowing you wereing, everyone here wanted to show their utmost respect and ensure nothing was overlooked!”
Charlie waved his hand dismissively, saying, “There’s no need for such formality; I n to interact with the Fei family more frequently in the future.” After that, he turned to Jian and asked, “Mr. Fei, I’m here primarily to speak with you and Miss Fei. Could we possibly move to a more private setting?”
Jian responded quickly, “Of course! Please follow me to the study.”
Fei Kexin assisted Jian as they walked into the vi alongside Charlie.
The other members of the Fei family remained standing, knowing that Charlie had important matters to discuss with Jian and Fei Kexin. They understood they were not entitled to stay and wait for him, especially after Jamura’s downfall, which had elevated Charlie to an unassable position within the Fei family. They patiently waited for Charlie to emerge so they could respectfully see him off from the Fei residence.
Once inside the study, Jian gestured toward the elegant bookcase and said, “Mr. Wade, Kexin is now the head of the Fei family, and I’ve passed on the title associated with this bookcase to her. Please, take a seat in the distinguished chair directly across from Kexin!”
Charlie nodded in understanding; Jian’s words signified that he had fully entrusted the power of the Fei family to Fei Kexin.
The seating arrangement was quite deliberate. The master chair was designed for one, considerably wider than the guest chair opposite it and elevated by ten centimeters.
