Charlie reiterated, “There is one more thing.”
Abbas replied respectfully, “Mr. Wade, please go ahead.”
With a serious tone, Charlie exined, “I need your help to investigate a person in Providence named Jovie. She appears to be in her fifties and is likely using a false identity. Although she has been living in Providence under this alias, there should be clues left behind. I need you to track down her current whereabouts as quickly as possible.”
After that, Charlie added, “Also, their gang must have a contact here in New York. Please look into the airport surveince and see who has been seen on the streets with my mother-inw. We need to find a way to ascertain her location, ideally catching someone directly.”
“Absolutely!” Abbas responded without hesitation. “Don’t worry, Mr. Wade. I’ll take care of everything!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Charlie was acutely aware that Jovie would likely find a way to monitor ine’s every move. With ine now arrested and out of contact, Jovie would soon realize that something was wrong, prompting her to vacate her current location as quickly as possible.
Given these circumstances, it was improbable that Jovie would want to go to Providence to look for ine now. The people at Wanlong Pce could only follow the clues that Jovie had left behind.
Additionally, regardless of whether ine was in trouble or not, she would most likely flee the scene immediately, which made it unlikely that anyone could be captured right away.
Thus, the approach had to be methodical. They needed to work towards apprehending individuals while ensuring that ine remained safe.
Once all the clues were unraveled at Wanlong Pce and the perpetrators were brought to justice, ine’s name would be cleared, allowing her to regain her freedom.
…
Meanwhile, a Ford pickup truck sped away from Providence, heading towards Seattle.
Inside the vehicle were Jovie and her four so-called family members.
The driver was Yosef, who was pretending to be Jovie’s son.
Seated next to him, Jovie scolded angrily, “ine’s luck is simply terrible! I assumed that if she were to have an ident, it would happen after she arrived on Hong Kong Ind. I can’t believe she managed to mess up even before leaving the U.S.!”
Yosef, looking ufortable, replied, “Aunt, to be honest, I’ve always thought ine was unreliable. Not that she would get into serious trouble, but she just seems so scatterbrained. People like her have this aura that attracts chaos.”
Jovie shot him a cold re. “What kind of aura?”
Yosef blurted out, “The kind that draws idents! For instance, if there are 10,000 people on the street and a brick falls from the sky, there’s a 50% chance it will hit the other 9,999 people, and the remaining 50% chance? It’ll hit her.”<fn7326> This text is hosted at f?ndnovel</fn7326>
Jovie barked, “What the hell are you doing here? Why didn’t you mention anything when ine came over for dinnerst time? You know now? When I get hit by a car while walking, what good does it do to tell me you knew I’d be hit? Will that bring me back to life? Stop talking nonsense!”
Seeing Jovie’s fury, Yosef quickly recoiled. “I’m sorry, Aunt… I didn’t mean to…”
Without even ncing at him, Jovie pulled out her phone, removed the SIM card, and tossed the device out of the window.
Then she instructed Yosef, “Drive another 20 kilometers, then head south.”
Yosef asked, surprised, “Aunt, aren’t we going to Seattle toy low? Why are we heading south?”
Jovie replied coldly, “I’m going to Mexico. ine’s situation is stagnant, and I can’t afford any mistakes with Sister’s son!”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center wp-block-heading" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
