The Amazing son in law Chapter 4969

    “What?!”

ine felt as though she had just heard the most heartless words imaginable. She eximed, “Why did you release me from the hospital so soon?! If I’m discharged, does that mean I have to go to the detention center?!”

The female doctor responded with an apologetic tone, “I’m sorry, Ms. ine, but I’m not aware of your arrangements following your discharge. You will need to check with the police about that.”

With tears in her eyes, ine pleaded, “Doctor, it shouldn’t be too difficult for you to provide me with a serious injury certificate, right? Please help me with this. My old bones can’t handle the treatment at the detention center; it’s too rough.”

The female doctor shook her head helplessly, exining, “Ms. ine, this is something that cannot be faked in the United States. If I were to issue you such a certificate, the police would definitely seek verification from other physicians. If they determine that my certificate is fraudulent, I would lose my right to practice medicine forever.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

ine quickly countered, “But what you’re saying is just a matter of probability; that might not actually happen. Have somepassion for me and help me out with my old bones… I’ve been in the detention center before, and I broke a leg while I was there. I have no idea what the conditions are like inside, and if I end up there again, I might actually be bullied to death…”

The female doctor shook her head repeatedly, dering, “I’m truly sorry, Ms. ine, but this is a matter of principle, and I can’t assist you.”

Determined, ine gritted her teeth and suggested, “Doctor, if you really can’t help, then just break one of my ribs. If I have two broken ribs, you can’t send me away from the hospital, right?”

The female doctor responded awkwardly, “Ms. ine, if I were to do that, it wouldn’t just jeopardize my medical license—I could end up in prison myself. We might find ourselves as cellmates!”

After saying this, she quickly shifted the conversation, “By the way, Ms. ine, you wanted millet, ginseng, and lobster porridge for breakfast, right? I’ll arrange that for you right away, just wait a moment.”

With that, the doctor turned and exited the ward, leaving ine in a state of despair.

Just then, James White, the top criminalwyer in New York, knocked on the door and walked in. Upon seeing her, he smiled and asked, “Ms. ine, did you manage to rest wellst night?”

Seeing thewyer, ine’s hope was rekindled, and she quickly inquired, “Lawyer White, I heard the doctor say I’ll be discharged from the hospital at noon today. What’s going on?”

James White exined, “The police reviewed your medical records this morning and consulted with your attending physician. Based on the doctor’s feedback, they believe you no longer require hospitalization, so you will be discharged at noon.”

ine interrupted, “Does that mean I have to go to the detention center after leaving the hospital? I really don’t want to go there!”

James White replied earnestly, “Ms. ine, I truly understand how you feel, but it’s important for you to grasp the nature of the case against you. You are suspected of smuggling over 5 kilograms of contraband out of the country. If you’re found guilty, you could be facing a lifetime behind bars. While I’m confident I can help you prove your innocence in such a serious matter, you need to be realistic. If you’re unwilling to ept going to the detention center, then perhaps you’re being a bit too optimistic.”

Hearing this, ine quickly praised, “Lawyer White, you were fearless in confronting the police yesterday. It’s clear you’re a topwyer with exceptional skills. You can help me, can’t you?”

James White responded seriously, “Ms. ine, I will do everything in my power to help you clear your name. However, regarding your previousment, I can’t change the situation. I’ve already spoken with your examining magistrate, and they’ve made it clear that bail is not an option. Therefore, you must go to the detention center for a while, and how long that will be depends on how quickly the police can apprehend Jovie and Ste.”

ine’s hope plummeted as she sobbed, “If they never catch them, will I be stuck there forever?”<fnd245> ?????? ???? Find[?]ovel</fnd245>

James White reassured her, “If they can’t be caught, I will do my utmost to defend your innocence. It may just take a bit longer, so please try to understand.”
