At this moment, the young man let out a sigh of relief. After happily ending his phone call, he turned and walked over to Charlie and Trent.
Little did he know, Charlie had overheard the entire conversation and report to the higher-ups.
On one hand, Charlie admired the vignce of this organization; on the other, he couldn’t help but feel that in the face of overwhelming power, such meticulous strategies and actions seemed futile.
Despite their caution, it was clear that no matter how clever or careful they were, they couldn’t escape the fate of being wiped out by the group.
Unaware of the impending disaster, the young man thought Trent was simply buying one item and getting another for free. With a smile, he turned to Charlie and said, “You’re really lucky! Usually, our recruitment process is quite strict. Not only do you need to submit documents in advance, but you also have to pass a thorough medical examination to be considered. However, our ship is setting sail soon, and we have an immediate need for manpower. If you’re interested, you cane back for an interview with me, and you should be able to start working without any issues.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Feigning excitement, Charlie asked, “So, what’s the monthly sry for a seaman?”
The young man grinned and replied, “It’s between five to six thousand dors a month, depending on your performance and mission efficiency.”
“Sounds great!” Charlie nodded enthusiastically. “Let’s get started!”
The young man agreed, saying, “We should hurry. It’s still about 100 kilometers to the port of Ensenada.”
The two readily epted, and together they made their way to the parking lot outside the airport, following the young man.
They arrived at a Chevrolet pickup truck where a brown-skinned Mexican man was already seated in the driver’s seat. He was stocky, with a round face and a friendly demeanor.
The young man moved to the co-pilot seat and turned to Charlie and Trent, exining, “This is ourpany’s vehicle, and the driver is the bodyguard for our general manager. Since Mexico isn’t very safe, we rely on him for security. Don’t let his looks fool you; he may seem tough, but he’s actually quite friendly.”
The Mexican man smiled at the two and patted his bulging waist, saying something in Spanish with a grin.
The young man tranted, “He says you’re wee to Mexico and that he has a Glock 17 in his pocket to keep us safe.”
Charlie smiled back, while Trent, not sensing anything amiss, quickly chimed in, “Make sure to tell him we appreciate his hard work.”
The young man nodded, exchanged pleasantries in Spanish, and instructed, “You two should sit in the back.”
Charlie and Trent got into the back seat of the car as the Mexican driver pulled out of the airport.
Once on the road, the young man turned to Charlie and Trent, saying, “You should call home now or send a message to let your families know you’re safe. The infrastructure in Mexico isn’t great, and once we leave the city for Ensenada, the signal will be spotty.”
Trent, unaware of the deceit, quickly pulled out his phone to call home and report his safety.
Noticing that Charlie hadn’t called, the young man asked, “Hey, why aren’t you contacting your family?”<fnc33c> Find the newest release on find?novel</fnc33c>
Charlie smiled and replied, “I didn’t want to tell anyone I wasing to Mexico. For someone like me, it’s best not to reach out to family. Contacting them can lead to trouble, so I prefer to keep quiet.”
Upon hearing this, the young man nodded with a smile and chose not to press further.<h3 ss="has-text-align-center wp-block-heading" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
