The housekeeper immediately shook his head and replied earnestly, “I haven’t done it…”
Charlie smiled and remarked, “Exactly! Such delightful things can’t be conjured even in dreams. It’s like every man experiences adolescence, yet the subject of those youthful dreams isn’t always the one he truly loves. Is that right?”
The housekeeper nodded vigorously, saying, “Yes, indeed! I’ve pondered over my teenage years and never once dreamed of the goddess I held in my heart during those times…”
Charlie chuckled lightly, then turned to Ito Yuhiko with a warm smile, asking, “Mr. Ito, how does it feel to see your birthday wishe to life?”
Ito Yuhiko, who had been standing there in a daze, suddenly knelt on the hard tile floor with a thud. His eyes brimmed with tears as he looked at Charlie and choked out, “Mr. Wade! Thank you for this transformation. I never imagined that Ito Yuhiko could be a normal person in this lifetime! Your immense kindness will forever be etched in my memory!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
As he spoke, he opened his arms, knelt down, and bowed deeply to Charlie three times.
Charlie observed Ito Yuhiko on the ground, speaking through his tears, and noted how different he looked now. No longer resembling the green-haired gori he once was, he appeared more like a new creature emerging from the earth. However, given his current state, being naked made for an awkward sight.
Thus, Charlie refrained from offering assistance and said to the housekeeper beside Ito Yuhiko with a hint of disgust, “Please get a bath towel for Mr. Ito. At his age, kneeling on the floor without any clothing is quite inappropriate.”
The butler snapped back to attention, quickly grabbed a bath towel, and rushed over to wrap it around Ito Yuhiko’s waist.
At that moment, Ito Yuhiko, too overwhelmed to care about his dignity, was out of breath from crying. He looked at Charlie with tear-filled eyes and said, “Mr. Wade… You are like a rebirth to me… From now on, whatever you ask of me, I willply without question. Even if you tell me to jump out of here, I would dly do it! Dying with dignity as a normal person is far better than living a life confined to a wheelchair!”
Charlie shook his head, a look of helplessness on his face. “I didn’t call you all the way here and give you such a precious medicine just to watch you jump off a building. I want you to cheer up for Nanako’s sake. You can’t go on living like a half-dead person. Don’t let her worry about you anymore, understood?”
Ito Yuhiko’s eyes lit up with understanding as he eximed, “I understand, Mr. Wade! Thank you for your kindness towards my daughter! From this day forward, I won’t let Nanako worry about me at all!”
Charlie nodded and instructed, “Alright, get up and take a shower. Clean off all that mud, especially from your face. Once you’re done, put on the sportswear I’ve prepared for you ande out. Nanako is waiting outside.”
Just as Ito Yuhiko was about to bow again, he bent down and the bath towel slipped off. The housekeeper hurriedly stepped in to rewrap him, while Charlie said with a hint of amusement, “No need for all these formalities. I helped you out for Nanako’s sake.”
With a choked voice, Ito Yuhiko focused his thoughts and asked, “Mr. Wade, may I ask you something?”
Charlie replied, “Go ahead.”
Ito Yuhiko asked respectfully, “Mr. Wade, I would like to know… how is Tanaka doing now? Did you give him medicine as well?”
Charlie nodded, saying, “I’ve already administered the medicine to him, but he took it a few minutester than you. So, I believe he’s almost awake now.”
Ito Yuhiko sighed in relief and said, “Tanaka saved my life at great risk. Without him, I might have been killed by the Takahashi family long ago. Knowing he can recover is like a wish fulfilled…”
Looking at Charlie with tears in his eyes, he added, “Thank you, Mr. Wade!”<fn887f> This text is hosted at </fn887f>
Charlie offered a slight smile and replied casually, “You don’t need to thank me for this. I’m helping you out for Nanako, and assisting Tanaka is a way of honoring his loyalty to your Ito family.”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center wp-block-heading" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
