The Amazing son in law Chapter 5135

Just when Xion was eager to help her mother to the bathroom and prepare for taking the reshaping pill, Zayne, sitting in the living room of the suite, turned to Charlie and asked hesitantly, “Mr. Wade, may I ask you something?” Charlie responded casually, “Mr. Banks, feel free to speak; there’s no need to be so formal.”

Zayne felt a bit uncertain and managed a sheepish smile. “I’d like to ask if you could grant me a day of freedom tomorrow, or at least half a day?”

Zayne was acutely aware that despite being in New York with Kairi, he was essentially under Charlie’s house arrest.

Charlie listened to Zayne’s request with curiosity. “What does Mr. Banks n to do with a day off? Share your thoughts, and if they’re reasonable, it might be possible.”

Suddenly, Zayne appeared a bit flustered. After a moment of hesitation, he summoned his courage and said, “I want to buy a gift for Xion’s mother. If it’s possible, I’d like to invite her out for dinner.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Charlie’s interest was piqued at this. He looked directly at Zayne and asked bluntly, “If you don’t mind me asking, are you considering taking your rtionship with Ms. Kairi to the next level?”

Zayne quickly replied, his expression anxious, “Mr. Wade, please don’t misunderstand. I have no ulterior motives, and I certainly don’t intend to use this to sway your judgment on my situation. This requestes purely from my personal feelings.”

As he spoke, a sigh escaped him as he reflected. “Mr. Wade, during my time in Aurous Hill, I’ve done a lot of soul-searching. I realize I’ve made significant mistakes in my life, choosing an opponent I could never hope to defeat and a woman I could never truly influence. I thought I had reached the pinnacle of many prominent families in the country, yet my three children faced crisis after crisis…”

At that moment, Zayne nced toward the bathroom, shame evident on his face as he murmured, “And I’ve allowed a woman who loves me unconditionally to sacrifice for me for so many years. Every time I think about it, I feel a deep sense of shame…”

Charlie nodded slightly, his view of Zayne shifting in response to his words.

In Charlie’s perspective, there were two types of adversaries: those whose heinous crimes warranted their demise and those who could potentially be redeemed before it was toote.

If the Banks family had indeed orchestrated his parents’ deaths, Charlie would ensure that everyone involved paid the ultimate price. Fortunately, the Banks family had not yed a direct role, leaving room for redemption.

So, Charlie feigned a sigh. “Ms. Kairi has indeed sacrificed a great deal for you. Not only her but also Xion, who has endured betrayal from the Banks family time and again.”

Zayne, feeling the weight of shame, replied, “You’re absolutely right… The previous members of the Banks family, myself included, were far too indifferent…”

After a brief pause, Zayne continued earnestly, “During this time, I’ve been reflecting on how I might make amends to both her and Xion.”

Charlie, intrigued, asked, “What do you have in mind for making amends?”<fn4599> For more chapters visit FindN()vel</fn4599>

Zayne hesitated once more but ultimately shared his thoughts. Looking directly at Charlie, he stated with conviction, “Mr. Wade, to be frank, I want to buy a ring tomorrow, reserve a table at an upscale restaurant, invite Xion’s mother to dinner, and then propose to her during the meal…”
