ine’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she thought to herself, “Oh, this is a great reason for this…”
With that thought in mind, she quickly turned to the female prison guard and eximed, “I won’t tell you just yet; I need to call my son-inw!” As she dialed, she asked, “Hey, good son-inw, how are things going with what Mom asked you to handle?”
Remembering the burst of inspiration she just had, she continued, “That’s right, good son-inw, Mom wants to stay here for a few more days, but it’s not just for fun or to make friends. I also want to write something when I get back—a book titled ‘The Days I Spent in Prison in the United States,’ where I can expose the dark side of American prisons. It might be a bestseller!”
Charlie paused, taken aback by the idea of ine writing a book to reveal the darkness of American prisons. She certainly seemed to be one of the most notorious inmates at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility herself!
Nevertheless, Charlie chose not toment on that and simply smiled, responding in a firm tone, “Mom, don’t worry. I’ve already spoken to my client, and he assured me he would help clear things up for you. If that’s the case, the New York police won’t be letting you out anytime soon.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Upon hearing this, ine’s face lit up with a smile.
At this moment, the world outside seemed less appealing to her, and she found more satisfaction in the authority she held at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility.
She beamed, “It’s always my talented son-inw who knows how to handle things! It’s impressive that you can make connections all the way from New York!”
Charlie chuckled and casually replied, “It was just a coincidence; a client happened to be here, or else I wouldn’t have been able to help.”
With a grin, ine added, “Oh, that’s fine as long as you can assist! Just one more thing—don’t forget to say hi to ire for me. Tell her not to worry, and you don’t have to wait around in New York all the time. Go back and spend time with her; I’ll be here for another ten days or so.”
“Sure,” Charlie replied. “I’ll let ire know shortly; you don’t need to stress about it.” After hanging up, ine felt overjoyed.
As she hung up, she turned to see a ck woman standing in the waiting area, looking a bit confused. Spotting ine, the woman immediately bowed respectfully and said, “Interceptor!”
ine frowned slightly and replied in her broken Chinese, “How did you learn that pronunciation? It’s not correct! It’s ‘Sister ine,’ not ‘Interceptor!’ Say it again!”
The woman, who didn’t grasp any Chinese, had learned the phrase “Sister ine is good” by imitation, but her pronunciation was always off. Now, hearing ine’s words, she was utterly lost.
Seeing the woman’s nk expression, ine muttered, “What’s wrong with you? Didn’t you hear me talking to you?”
The woman couldn’t understand ine’s words but could tell from her expression that ine was somewhat displeased, leaving her unsure of how to respond.
Noticing the woman’s anxious demeanor, ine smirked and casually remarked, “Your Sister ine is in a good mood today, so I won’t hold it against you.”
With that, she turned and strutted away confidently.
On the yground, everyone who saw ine greeted her with respect, further boosting her spirits.<fne5ca> Latest content published on find(?)ovel</fne5ca>
Little did ine know, however, that everything was about to change drastically the very next day!
…
The next day, the first thing ine did upon waking was to unleash her frustrations on Chloe and Jessica.
Noticing the two still sleeping soundly, she rushed to the bathroom, filled a basin with cold water, and sshed half of it onto Chloe, then poured the rest on Jessica, who was curled up on the other bed.
Jessica yelped in surprise and sprang out of bed.
Faced with ine holding the empty basin, both women felt a mix of anger and fear, but they chose to remain silent.
ine red at Chloe and coldly demanded, “What are you staring at? Why aren’t you up and working?”
In tears, Chloe protested, “We didundry until the early hours of the morning! We’ve only slept for a few hours—are you really expecting us to keep going?”
ine scoffed, “You’re lucky to get even three or four hours of sleep! Now get up and clean the floor for me. If there’s a speck of dust on my feet, I won’t hesitate to punish you!”
