Abbas drove the pickup truck to the water’s edge and carefully lowered the speedboat into the ocean.
Once the speedboat was afloat, Charlie started the engine. Abbas’s voice came through themunicator, “Mr. Wade, you can reach the ship’s route by driving 130 kilometers on a 320-degree bearing. If all goes well, you should arrive at the designated location about half an hour early.”
“Got it,” Charlie responded via themunicator. “Abbas, we’ll meet in Cyprus.” With that, he steered the speedboat into the open sea, executing a 180-degree turn and heading into the vast Mediterranean.
After over an hour, Charlie reached the pre-nned location on the map.
He stopped the speedboat approximately one nautical mile off course and opened the package Abbas had prepared. He pulled out a waterproof ck night suit.
