The Amazing son in law Chapter 5504

With a warm smile, Deana remarked, “I’m doing well. The atmosphere in Aurous Hill has be increasingly pleasant for me, and I have far fewer worries than before, so I feel quite at ease.”

Charlie nodded in agreement, saying, “That’s great to hear! I wasn’t in Aurous Hill during that time, but I don’t n to go out anytime soon. If you ever need assistance with anything here, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.” “Sure!” Deana responded with a polite smile, happily inviting Charlie into her home.

As they entered the old house, Charlie couldn’t shake the feeling that he had stepped back in time.

When his parents first rented this ce, they took great care in restoring it. Even now, despite its simplicity, it radiates a fresh charm.

After sitting empty for two decades, the house had fallen into disrepair, but thanks to Deana’s diligent restoration, it seemed to have reverted to the condition it was in two decades ago.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

For a moment, Charlie was transported back to his childhood, recalling the time when his parents had just settled in Aurous Hill, and the three of them lived an ordinary yet joy-filled life together.

Noticing Charlie’s wistful gaze as he explored the house, Deana chose to remain silent, allowing him to immerse himself in his memories.

After what felt like an eternity, Charlie managed to collect himself, holding back tears as he smiled at Deana and said, “Aunt Deana, you must have put in a lot of effort to clean and restore this house…” Deana nodded with a smile, replying, “It was quite a task, but also enjoyable.”

While speaking, Deana gestured towards the set of rustic, old-fashioned leather sofas and encouraged Charlie, “Please, have a seat and rx for a bit!”

“Sure!” Charlie agreed, taking a seat and sighing in nostalgia. “Aunt Deana, this sofa reminds me so much of the one I had when I was a child… Is this style still avable for purchase?”

Deana smiled, exining, “Back in our day, leather sofas typically looked like this. Unless you’re looking at high-end imports from Europe or the United States, you won’t find anything like it today. I actually hired someone to make these by hand.” Charlie nodded thoughtfully, reflecting, “Aunt Deana is truly wonderful. She’s meticulous and understands my father so well; her taste aligns with his in many ways…”

After a moment of reflection, Charlie shifted the conversation and nced at Fitz, who was nearby. “Young Master Banks, how have you been? I imagine the past six months have been quite challenging for you, right?”

Fitz rose respectfully and replied, “Mr. Wade, it hasn’t been too difficult… I owe you my gratitude for your guidance. Without your help, I might still be the same unrefined person I used to be…”

Charlie inquired, “You mean to say that having to kneel and walk a pilgrimage didn’t make you resent me at all?”

Fitz responded honestly, “To be truthful, for the first month, I was filled with resentment towards you. I even imagined that if I could ever surpass you, I would make you pay back tenfold, a hundredfold. But after a month, I began to see your good intentions…”

Curious, Charlie asked, “My good intentions? Many people perceive me as someone with a penchant for cruelty, often devising peculiar punishments for others. I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted to take revenge on me. Why is it that you see my actions as well-meaning?”

Fitz replied sincerely, “You have countless ways to punish me, and even if it cost my life, I couldn’t retaliate. Besides, you saved my life in Japan, and you offered me another chance to find my way again…”

He paused for a moment, reflecting, then continued, “Moreover, I know you’ve always had people watching out for you in secret. I appreciate that I’ve faced life-threatening situations several times over the past six months, and I’m certain you’ve intervened to keep me safe.”<fn69b8> For original chapters go to FindN()vel</fn69b8>
