Ever since Charlie confirmed that the Banks family had no involvement in his parents’ tragic deaths, he had no thoughts of harming anyone from the Banks family. Zayne could easily let him go, and certainly, he had no desire to target someone as insignificant as Fitz.


    Charlie even arranged for people to protect Fitz discreetly, considering the reputations of Deana and Zara Banks.     This statement left Fitz, as well as Deana and Zara Banks, taken aback.


    Fitz thought there must be a mistake. He could hardly believe that Charlie would allow him to stop the pilgrimage, especially since he had onlypleted a third of the journey, which was also the easiest part.     He wanted to test whether Fitz had truly changed from his old self.


    If Fitz could genuinely change and decide to leave his past behind, he would likely choose to continue the pilgrimage. But if he still clung to his old ways, he might seize this rare opportunity to retreat.


    Charlie’s reason for this test was to determine whether he would consider Fitz fit to return to a decision-making role within the Banks family in the future.
