Upon Charlie’s arrival at the hotel, Zayne and Kairi had alreadypleted their worship of heaven and earth.
Inside the hotel, a couple of newlyweds were resting in their room, while most guests had migrated to the hanging garden to start organizing for the uing wedding.
Charlie, who prefers to avoid excitement, made his way directly to the Sky Garden, where he coincidentally found Nanako Ito, along with sisters Zara and Xion.<fb2> This text is hosted at FindN()vel</fb2>
Due to the limited number of guests and the restriction on outsiders entering the Sky Garden, the atmosphere here was pleasantly calm and not overly lively.
Thanks to the coborative efforts of Xion and Nanako Ito, the overall mood of the wedding was both solemn and warm, enhanced by the noble and elegant flower arrangements that Nanako had prepared.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Today, Nanako Ito was dressed in a beautiful ceremonial kimono. Upon noticing Charlie’s arrival, she eagerly trotted over to him, eximing, “Mr. Charlie, you’re here!” Charlie returned her greeting with a nod and a smile, admiring the floral decorations.
The banquet hall was adorned with a plethora of flowers, prompting him to ask, a hint of concern in his voice, “Did you arrange all these flowers? It must have taken a long time?”
With a smile, Nanako replied, “I did arrange them, but I had a lot of help from the servants. They’re assisting me with sorting and organizing the flower branches; I definitely couldn’t have done it all alone.”
At that moment, Zara and Xion approached Charlie. Zara, witnessing the intimate chat between Charlie and Nanako, felt a twinge of jealousy. It was clear to her that Charlie regarded Nanako differently than other women, which made her feel slightly irritated.
Zara’s background differed from Xion’s; while Xion grew up as an illegitimate daughter andter became Zayne’s bodyguard as an adult, Zara had been pampered by the Banks family since childhood. Although she didn’t disy overt arrogance, it lingered beneath the surface. She couldn’t help but wonder why Charlie treated Nanako with such distinct kindness. After all, Nanako was the eldest daughter of the Ito family, which held a respectable status, yet the Banks family’s influence was far more substantial.
In contrast, Xion, despite being an aplished eight-star martial artist and the strongest person present at the wedding aside from Charlie, remained humble. Her demeanor only made her appreciate Charlie’s kindness even more, instilling in her a desire to repay his generosity. Thus, she continued to present herself as the obedient girl, always willing to support him.
As they reached Charlie, Zara respectfully greeted him, “Hello, Mr. Wade.”
Xion, standing beside her, added softly, “Hello, Mr. Wade!”
Charlie nodded in acknowledgment, and then Xion leaned in to quietly ask, “Mr. Wade, aren’t you supposed to be a wedding witness today? Why aren’t you wearing a suit?”
