“Uncle”
Willie instinctively reached for his pocket, only to realize in horror that his pants were gone, leaving him with no way to retrieve anything. His face twisted in disbelief as he looked at Charlie and eximed, “You mean to say you’ve already dug a hole and are waiting for me in Aurous Hill?!”
Charlie nodded emphatically and replied, “That’s correct! There are four major earls involved; Cyprus has already been dealt with, leaving three more. Plus, I’m aware that my grandparents are heading to Aurous Hill, and the Qing Dynasty will undoubtedly send another earl, so I’ve set everything up, waiting for you to arrive!”
With a sneer, Charlie continued, “I never expected that the bastard hero would send the very murderer who took my parents’ lives two decades ago to Aurous Hill. I’ve been waiting for this day for twenty years!”<fn18aa> ???s ??????? ?s ?????? ?? find[?]ovel</fn18aa>
As he finished speaking, Charlie shouted, “Thunder ising!”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
In an instant, a powerful bolt of lightning struck down from the sky, hitting Willie’s left hand!
In that moment, his left hand transformed into a charred mass, resembling his right hand!
Faced with the reality of his ruined hands, Uncle Willie’s previous arrogance crumbled. Terror gripped him as he knelt on the ground, pleading, “Charlie… I’ve lived from the end of the Qing Dynasty until now, my life filled with twists of fate. After enduring countless hardships, now that my right hand is crippled, I’ve nearly be a shell of my former self. I beg you, show mercy and spare my life…”
A derisive smile curled at the corners of Charlie’s mouth as he looked down at him, demanding, “Old dog, did you ever consider that you’d end up like this when you killed my parents twenty years ago?”
Willie was engulfed by fear. At one hundred and fifty-six years old, he had lived a long life, and logically, he should have been ready to meet his end. Even death seemed a more peaceful option than what he faced now.
Yet human greed defies logic.
Interestingly, it’s often the younger individuals who fear death the least. Many young people are willing to fight to the death at mere fifteen or sixteen. In contrast, those who are older tend to fear death more.
Even a person of Willie’s experience was not immune to such fears.
Seeing Charlie’spleteck ofpassion, Uncle Willie cried out, “Charlie, I was following orders back then! The Lord of Enndmanded me; I had no choice! If you seek revenge for your parents, you should target Lord Ying, not someone insignificant like me…”
Charlie scoffed, “Oh? So now you’re ready to betray your master to save yourself? Well, if you’re honest and share every detail about that meeting, I might grant you a quick end, so you don’t die in such a disgraceful manner!”
With a pained smile, Willie replied, “If I tell you everything, can you swear to your parents’ spirits in heaven that you will spare my life? If you can do that, I’ll share it all!”<h3 ss="has-text-align-center wp-block-heading" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
