The stewardess couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy. To her, the yful banter between this couple seemed like the most genuine expression of love.
As the stewardess stepped into the kitchen at the front of the cabin, Lin Wan’er (ni) yfully stuck out her tongue at Charlie before sitting beside him. With a cheerful smile, she asked, “So, how did I do? Was my acting convincing?” Charlie nodded in affirmation.
He replied earnestly, “You were fantastic! If you told me you’ve never been in a rtionship, I wouldn’t believe it. You seem sofortable with it.”
Feeling a bit bashful, Lin Wan’er (ni) confessed, “I’ve never actually been in a rtionship, but I’ve seen plenty of movies and TV dramas. Flirting and teasing are pretty standard in romance stories, right?”
“Absolutely,” Charlie agreed with a smile. Just then, the ne began to taxi, prompting Charlie to steer the conversation back to the task at hand. He said quietly, “We’ll bending in Lijiang in a little over two hours. Once we touch down, we’ll rent a car and head straight to Dali. Do you remember exactly where your father’s tomb is?”<fn4be0> Read full story at findnovel</fn4be0><h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Lin Wan’er (ni) wiped the smile from her face and replied, “My father’s tomb is located in the northeast of Erhai. I’ve looked at maps and satellite images; that area is now called Shuanng.”
Charlie nodded, pulled out his phone, and checked the map. “Shuanng is about 100 meters from Lijiang. It’s not too far, and after wend, it’ll take us roughly an hour and a half to drive there.”
“Right,” Lin Wan’er (ni) said, her expression turning serious. “My father’s tomb is on a mountain northeast of Shuanng. It’s been hundreds of years; I can only wonder what it looks like now.”
Charlie asked, “Was there a tombstone?”
“Yes,” she replied. “I had a stone tablet made and buried my father’s clothes alongside my mother’s. But I’m not sure if it’s still there, or if we can even find it.”
“Is your mother buried there too?” Charlie inquired.
Lin Wan’er (ni) exined, “She was originally, but before I left Dali, I feared that Sara might disturb my parents’ remains. So, I had my mother cremated and buried her ashes with my father’s in Poole.”
Charlie nodded thoughtfully and suggested, “Let’s prioritize locating your father’s tomb first. Then we can set up some surveince to capture Sara’s visit. Once we’re prepared, we won’t wait for her to arrive. I’ll go with you to Poole to pay respects to your parents.”
Lin Wan’er (ni) looked at Charlie with sincerity, “Young Master, Sara is very astute. She might disguise herself this time. If we can’t photograph her, please don’t be disheartened.”
“It’s fine,” Charlie replied casually. “My main concern is your safety while you’re in southern Yunnan. I want to apany you to honor your parents, then help you revisit the ces your mother cherished, and ultimately ensure you return safely to Aurous Hill. As for Sara, she’s just an obstacle to be dealt with, like asking a boss for a receipt after a meal.”
Moved by his words, Lin Wan’er (ni) nodded softly, expressing, “My greatest wish was to return to southern Yunnan before I die and revisit all these ces. Thanks to you, I can finally fulfill that dream…”
Curious, Charlie asked, “If we could resolve the issues with Sara, what would you want to do most?”
Without hesitation, Lin Wan’er (ni) replied, “I’ve always wanted to move my parents’ tomb to the edge of Tianchi Lake and build a cozy wooden house there, where my mother could have raised some cows, a few sheep, and a dog. I dream of spending the rest of my life in peace.”
“And what about before?” Charlie asked. “What do you want now?”<h3 ss="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
