“Even if she leads a tyrannical life, so what? I, Lin Wan’er, will still defeat her!”
As Lin Wan’er’s face lit up with enthusiasm and anticipation, Charlie began to grasp her feelings.
She had been evading Sara for over three hundred years, constantly on the run—a situation that made Lin Wan’er a unique figure in this world.
As she pointed out, seeking revenge on Sara through sheer strength was unfeasible in this lifetime. However, she could muster the courage to confront Sara indirectly, perhaps even surprising her from right under her nose.
In this way, Lin Wan’er could deliver a metaphorical p to Sara’s face, which seemed to be the most effective approach to tackle the situation.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Feeling inspired by her determination, Charlie responded, “If that’s the case, then there’s no need for me to send someone to pose as a spy. I will stand by your side and wait for Sara to arrive, ready to see for myself who she truly is!”
Lin Wan’er looked at him in astonishment, asking, “Are you really willing to apany me, my lord?”
Charlie nodded affirmatively, replying, “Absolutely.”
Lin Wan’er then stated earnestly, “This is like walking a tightrope on a cliff; one misstep could lead to death.”
Charlie chuckled, “If you’re not afraid, then why should I be?”
With a gentle smile, Lin Wan’er gazed at him sincerely, saying, “Your words bring mefort, but I must remind you that I am unlike you. I have no one to rely on and no family ties. For me, death isn’t something to fear; rather, it would be a release. That’s why I wish to face this alone, without dragging you into it.”
Charlie waved his hand dismissively, “If I can’t change your mind, why would you think you can change mine?”
Lin Wan’er persisted, “But this is a personal vendetta between me and Sara.”
Charlie responded nonchntly, “I have my own issues with her too. While my parents weren’t killed by her own hand, she orchestrated it all from the shadows, making her my greatest enemy.”
Lin Wan’er quickly interjected, “I’m here today to confront Sara. You can take your chance to eliminate her another time. Shall we agree to divide the tasks this way?”
Charlie shook his head, looking at Lin Wan’er earnestly, “How about this: from now on, we tackle everything concerning Sara together? Today, I’ll help you confront her, and in the future, you’ll assist me in taking her down. How does that sound?”
Lin Wan’er stared at him, momentarily unsure of how to respond. The image of Charlie began to blur in her vision, and she felt tears welling up in her eyes.
She blinked them back, managing a soft smile as she dered, “Thanks to your kindness, young master, from this day forward, I will stand with you through thick and thin!”

Charlie and Lin Wan’er, dressed in matching outfits, took their time exploring the town instead of rushing to buy supplies.
Although Shuanng Ancient Town had changed significantly in Lin Wan’er’s (ni’s) eyes, she still stumbled upon fragments of her childhood memories.
