The two engaged in conversation until nearly seven o’clock, at which point the sky began to brighten gradually.
By this time, charlie Wade had shared nearly all of his life experiences spanning over twenty years, while Lin Wan’er (ni) had only begun recounting her stories from the early 20th century.
Noticing the dawn breaking, Lin Wan’er (ni) turned to charlie Wade and asked, “Sir, isn’t it about time for us to leave?”
charlie Wade nodded in agreement, saying, “You haven’t yet shared the details of your ambush by Wu Feiyan on Hong Kong Ind and your miraculous escape.”
With a smile, Lin Wan’er (ni) responded, “Young master, I’d love to tell you all about it. I promise to share the full story once I’m back home.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
“Alright,” charlie Wade replied, stretching a bit. “It’s nearly time to head to the airport.”
He then pointed at the Mother of Pu Tea and said, “Miss Lin, since you have experience with tea cultivation, please help me dig out the Mother of Pu Tea.”
Lin Wan’er (ni) nodded and was about to dig with her hands, but suddenly paused, eximing, “Look, sir! The leaves we pickedst night have actually grown!”
Upon closer inspection, they both noticed that the two spots where leaves had been removed the previous day now sported two fresh young leaves, glistening with dewdrops.
charlie Wade couldn’t help but exim, “That’s incredibly fast! I didn’t even notice the leaves growing back!”
Lin Wan’er (ni) echoed his surprise, saying, “While it’s not umon for leaves to regrow, the speed at which they’ve done so is impressive. It shows just how resilient the Mother of Pu Tea really is.”
charlie Wade smiled and remarked, “At this rate, even if all its leaves were stripped away, it would quickly recover and return to its normal state.”
Lin Wan’er (ni) replied thoughtfully, “Sir, let’s not worry about the leaves for now. We should let her grow at her own pace.”
charlie Wade nodded, grinning as he said, “Miss Lin, rest assured, I won’t let her run out of water.”
Lin Wan’er (ni) carefully removed the soil around the Mother of Pu Tea, delicately unearthing its volleyball-sized roots along with the surrounding earth.
Once she had done that, she used the mineral water she had brought to moisten the root ball and then said to charlie Wade, “My lord, let’s hurry up and leave.”
“Okay!” charlie Wade agreed, and this time, they didn’t carry any of the previous camping gear. Together with Lin Wan’er (ni), he made his way back to the parking lot with the Mother of Pu Tea.<fn1470> ???? ????s? ???????s ?? Find_Novel(.</fn1470>
Once in the car, Lin Wan’er (ni) wrapped the roots of the Mother of Pu Tea in a stic bag, cing it gently by her feet. She then turned to charlie Wade and said, “Young master, everything is fine.” Just as charlie Wade was about to start the car, he noticed an elderly man in his sixties walking out of the vige.
The old man looked puzzled as he spotted the off-road vehicle parked at the vige entrance, staring intently at it.
charlie Wade rolled down the window and addressed him, “Excuse me, sir, we’re with the Meteorological Department. Did you hear any thunder or rainst night?”
“What thunder and rain?” the old man replied, a hint of annoyance in his voice. “You folks from the Meteorological Department don’t even know if it rained or not? And youe asking me?”
charlie Wade chuckled and said, “That’s right, we deployed the rain-increasing cannon yesterday and did hear some thunder, which is why we’re here this morning to check on the rain. Did you happen to hear it?”
The old man waved him off, saying, “No.”
charlie Wade pressed further, “Are you sure you didn’t hear anything?”
“I woke up seven or eight timesst night!” the old man retorted. “The neighbor next door could wake me up just by farting, so how could I possibly miss the thunder?”
As he walked away, he added, “I was hoping for some rain. It hasn’t rained in over a month, and the water level in Tianchi has dropped significantly!”
charlie Wade nodded and quickly said, “Then I’ll report back to our leader to see if we can arrange another round of artificial rainfall.”
The old man paid him no mind and continued on his way.
After closing the car window, charlie Wade turned to Lin Wan’er (ni) and remarked, “It seems like it really was just a hallucination; perhaps it only affected the two of us.”
“That seems likely,” Lin Wan’er (ni) agreed, though her brow remained slightly furrowed, indicating her ongoing concern.
