Charlie, who was inquiring with Lucas about the circumstances within the prison, overheard the discussions among the leaders of both the first and second prison districts.<fn292c> For original chapters go to find~novel</fn292c>
He was taken aback to discover that a prison situated in downtown New York, whichcked even an open-air yground, could harbor such hidden agendas.
Observing the unfolding situation, it became clear that Joseph, the head of the Second Ward, was seeking the right moment to strike a significant blow against Gustavo, the boss of the First Ward and a notorious Mexican drug lord.
Despite enjoying a life of luxury within the prison, Gustavo was not without his own concerns.
His family wielded considerable power, yet the violent drug traffickers were unable to cross into the United States, much less reach Brooklyn Prison to assist him.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Ultimately, his own safety, as well as the future of his entire family, rested in the hands of the U.S. government and the Rothschild family.
At that moment, Lucas remarked to Charlie, “Joseph’s behavior today seems off. He might be plotting something.”
Curious, Charlie asked, “What makes you say that?”
Lucas exined, “Joseph typically doesn’t interact with Gustavo. He’s an old-school American gang member who values direct confrontation and has a sense of personal valor. In contrast, Gustavo is cunning andcks any moral boundaries. He’s notorious for eliminating his rivals and even Mexican police, as well as innocent civilians. Like a venomous snake, he prefers to strike his foes when they least expect it, delivering lethal blows in the shadows. Joseph usually avoids provoking him, but now he seems intent on stirring up trouble.”
Charlie nodded, surprised to find that Lucas’s insights were surprisingly aligned with his own perceptions of Gustavo.
This indicated that Lucas was indeed observant of his surroundings within the prison. What stood out was his ability to think critically and analyze the motives behind the actions of others, surpassing the understanding of many others around him.
As the iron doors leading to the dining hall between the two prison areas were shut by the guards, Lucas inquired of Charlie, “All the prisoners are ounted for. By the way, isn’t Peter Zhou, the one you’re looking for, supposed to be here?”
Charlie shook his head, having kept a close eye on every prisoner entering the dining area, but he had yet to spot Peter Zhou, also known as Zhou Liangyun.
Lucas frowned andmented, “If someone is present but not in either of the two districts, they’re likely being concealed by the Rothschild family.”
Charlie questioned him, “If that’s the case, where could they possibly hide someone within the prison?”
“I can’t definitively say,” Lucas replied earnestly. “The bottom and top floors are designated for the prison guards’ offices, while the actual prisoner housing areas are elsewhere. I don’t have much insight into the office areas, but it’s unlikely they would hide someone there.”
He continued, “What is clear, however, is that the Rothschild family would never resort to killing the person you seek. If they intended to eliminate someone in this prison, they would first allow that person to appear publicly, inciting chaos among the inmates to ensure the death looks like an ident rather than a ndestine execution.”
Charlie then asked, “If I want to locate him and arrange a meeting, where should I begin?”
Lucas paused thoughtfully before responding, “The dynamics in this prison are quite unique. While the Rothschild family controls the facility, most staff members have no direct contact with them. If the person you’re searching for is indeed hidden by them, I estimate that no more than five guards in Brooklyn Prison are privy to that information, and we have no means of contacting them. It’s like trying to reach the warden; we’re lucky to see him three times a year.”
Charlie felt a wave of concern wash over him as he mulled over Lucas’s words.<h3 ss="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center" id="chapter-list"><strong></strong>
