Charlie’s remarks left Steve feeling somewhat bewildered.
He replied earnestly, “Sir, Helena is the Queen of Northern Europe. Her uing visit to Canada is a significant political affair. Events like this are typically scheduled well in advance. The visit was originally ted for next Friday, which is still nine days away. How can it be considered early…”
Charlie responded calmly, “You don’t need to worry about that; just answer my question.”
Steve paused to think before he said, “My father wants Royce to establish contact with Helena. This was his idea a while back, and he reiterated it a few days ago. He hopes that Royce can represent the Rothschild family and visit Canada to meet Helena, to make an initial connection and explore any potential for marriage. If Helena goes to Canada as nned, Royce should be able to go. However, given the current situation, I can’t be certain if that n will change.”
Charlie replied, “I doubt he will change his mind. From his perspective, Helena’s trip to Canada is an isted incident and not linked to Sifang Baozhuang. Additionally, Helena’s schedule change was unexpected. He might see Royce’s trip to Canada as simply filling a vacancy. Sifang Baozhuang’s resources won’t heighten the risk of Sifang Baozhuang leaving the United States, so why not?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
After that, Charlie continued, “Moreover, the Rothschild family is currently under immense public scrutiny. Numerous scandals have surfaced both internally and externally, leaving little room for a turnaround in the immediate future. Finding ways to divert public attention could be a wise and strategic choice.” He had hopes for Charlie to leave soon, but he also recognized the impossibility of Helena arriving any sooner. He wanted to avoid having Charlie remain in the U.S. indefinitely. Hope was one thing, but reality was another. Therefore, from every angle, he wished for Charlie to depart the United States with Sifang Baozhuang as soon as possible. Moreover, Charlie’s presence posed a continuous threat to his life and safety. Even though Steve was confident that Charlie was aware of Sifang Baozhuang’s specific whereabouts, he felt powerless to act. Sifang Baozhuang was like a ticking time bomb; as long as it remained in the U.S. and out of his control, he would always be at risk. For Steve, the best oue was for Charlie and Sifang Baozhuang to leave the U.S. promptly.
With a sense of resignation, Steve stated, “That’s true, but we haven’tmunicated with the Nordic royal family yet, and we can’t dictate when she arrives in Canada. If shees next week as scheduled, and if you want to seize the opportunity to travel to Canada with Royce, then we’ll have to wait at least a few more days…”<fn2c15> This update is avable on find~novel</fn2c15>
Helena’s arrival would mean that in the nine days leading up to her visit, Steve and his son would remain hostages in Charlie’s custody, which was a constant source of danger.
Thus, he addressed Charlie with a pained expression, “Sir, despite the Nordic royal family’s assets and influence, they pale inparison to a mid-sized techpany in Silicon Valley. However, she wields considerable political power. Although Helena is young, she is still the queen of a nation. Whether in Canada or even if she were to visit the United States, the world’srgest economy, she would be treated as a head of state. Therefore, it’s unrealistic for us Rothschilds to expect the Queen of Northern Europe to arrive on such short notice, and waiting nine days poses too much risk. We should consider alternative strategies!”
Charlie responded casually, “There’s no need for that. Don’t worry, I’ll ensure Helenaes over as soon as possible.”
Steve instinctively questioned, “Are you joking?”
Charlie smiled and said, “Steve, since we’re nning to coborate, I won’t keep any secrets from you. Do you know who I am?”
