The Amazing son in law Chapter 6426

Upon hearing the response from the other party, Sara felt her heart plummet.

Both Chen Zhimin and Sean had vanished from the hospital, and Chen Zhimin’s assistant was found dead within its walls. It was clear to her that this was the work of hidden enemies.<fnaef4> Latest content published on find?novel</fnaef4>

With only one body remaining of the three, the other two seemed to havepletely disappeared, leaving Sara with a profound sense of dread.

She recalled that Chen Zhimin’s assistant had been discovered dead that morning, while both Chen Zhimin and Sean had gone missing earlier, just before dawn. Sara reasoned that if they had indeed been attacked, their assants would have likely targeted Chen Zhimin and Sean first, subsequently dispatching Chen Zhimin’s assistant.

She couldn’t help but ponder, “Why did the assants eliminate Chen Zhimin’s assistant, who was already injured? What threat could a patient in a hospital bed possibly pose? Had the assistant seen something he shouldn’t have?”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

With these thoughts swirling in her mind, she turned to the police officer and asked, “Is there any evidence to suggest that the deceased was murdered?”

The officer shook his head, responding, “At this stage, we suspect homicide, but we have yet to uncover any direct evidence. Today, we began investigating the morphine supplies across various departments in Manhattan Hospital to see if we can find any leads.”

“How long will that take?” Sara inquired.

The officer paused before replying, “A significant portion of the New York police force is currently working with the Rothschild family to recover their stolen antiques, so this investigation is likely to progress slowly—my personal estimate is at least two to three months.”

“Two to three months?!” Sara clenched her teeth in frustration and pressed, “Have you managed to review any surveince footage from yesterday to today?”

The officer replied, “This morning, we discovered that all surveince footage has been destroyed.”

“Can that data be recovered?” she asked again.

The officer shook his head. “It cannot be recovered. The methods employed by the assants were quite professional; all storage devices werepletely obliterated. Experts have concluded that not even a single byte can be salvaged.”

Sara felt a surge of anger.

Having just used her spiritual energy to scan the entire Manhattan Hospital, she found no traces left, indicating that the perpetrators had cleaned the scene thoroughly.

Now, with the surveince footage irretrievably lost, it signified that the assants had effectively severed any investigative leads.

Suppressing her anxiety, she asked the officer, “Do you have any information regarding Chen Zhimin’s whereabouts?”

“No,” the officer answered honestly. “We have made several attempts to reach Chen Zhimin, but there has been no response. We believe he has gone missing.”

    Sara’s expression darkened.

She had arrived in New York with high hopes, eager to seize the opportunity to uncover the Sifang Baozhuang, the most precious treasure. Yet, she found herself grappling with the unsettling reality that, before she could gather any information about the Sifang Baozhuang, two of her key allies had vanished without a trace.

Frustrated, she demanded, “Chen Zhimin went missing here early this morning. Don’t you have any details on how he exited the hospital?”

“No,” the officer reiterated. “All surveince footage is gone. To track down his whereabouts, we must rely on criminal investigation experts to meticulously search the scene, but unfortunately, all traces have been destroyed. We can’t even recover aplete footprint or fingerprint, leaving us unaware of how they left.”

As a trusted confidant of Howard Rothschild, Hank, while not versed in Eastern martial arts, was a top-tier agent skilled at erasing traces. Charlie Wade had tasked him with eliminating all clues to ensure that both the police and Sara would struggle to find any breakthroughs.

Feeling a deep sense of helplessness, Sara thought of the Sifang Baozhuang and asked, “Was an antique dealer named Zhou Peter under your protection? Where is he now?”

The officer responded, “Peter Zhou was acquitted and releasedst night. The police and FBI who were guarding him also evacuated overnight, and since then, he has disappeared.”

Sara’s frown deepened as a sense of dread washed over her. “Two of my generals are missing, and now the antique dealer is gone as well. Could it be that the mysterious enemy is targeting the Sifang Baozhuang too?”

That must be it! The enigmatic individual likely had close ties with the Master and might even possess knowledge about the origin and purpose of the Sifang Baozhuang. Could it be that he preempted her efforts?

This realization left Sara feeling as restless as an ant on a hot stove.

Though Sean and Chen Zhimin were important to her, they paled inparison to the significance of the four treasures that had the potential to influence the world.
