Sara speaks of the lives and deaths of over 100,000 individuals during the Qing Dynasty as if they were mere trifles.
To her, it’s not the fate of countless people; it’s as if she were discussing the demise of over 100,000 ants.
What makes this even more significant is that many of these individuals are direct descendants of the Wu family, and they also belong to Sara’s own younger generations!
While Jadiel has be indifferent to the lives of those around him, he has yet to reach Sara’s chilling level of detachment.
In this moment, he begins to grasp the stark contrast between himself and the so-called hero.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Jadiel may not care about the lives of a few,
but the hero is indifferent to the lives of everyone.
To Sara, if it means securing another five hundred years of life, she would willingly sacrifice the lives of over 100,000 people from the Qing Dynasty.
Surprisingly, this revtion does not frighten Jadiel.
The conditions Sara offers are so enticing that he starts to envision the promising future she hints at.
With determination, he turns to Sara and says, “Thank you, Master Ying, for your guidance. I understand now!”
“Good,” Sara replies with a nod of satisfaction.
At that moment, Jadiel receives urgent news, eximing, “Master, we have an update! The US National Security Agency has rerouted the ne tond at a small airport near the US-Canada border. It will take nearly two days for the ne to reach its final destination, and their agents and special forces are already gathering at the airport!”
Sara’s response is cold and direct: “How many people are there?”
“Approximately 200,” Jadiel informs her. “The actual number shouldn’t vary too much.”
“Alright!” Sara responds, her confidence unwavering. “Two hundred people is manageable; let’s head there immediately! Also, instruct allbatants near New York to gather quickly and arrive at the target airport within two hours!”
Jadiel quickly interjects, “Ying Lord, that airport is nearly 400 kilometers away. To reach it in two hours, we’ll need to take a helicopter. The area is currently on high alert, and if we send hundreds or thousands of people by helicopter, it could draw too much attention. Coordinating so many helicopters in such a short time is impractical…”
Sara frowns and asks, “How long would it take to drive?”
“Driving would take at least five hours at best…” Jadiel replies.
“Damn it!” Sara exims, her expression fierce. She hadn’t anticipated that these four hundred kilometers would pose such a significant hurdle.
Jadiel was right; organizing hundreds or even thousands of people to fly there would require dozens, if not hundreds, of helicopters—an impossible task.
In desperation, Sara grits her teeth andmands, “Tell Wu Yongzhen to arrange for a helicopter to pick us up on the top floor of Manhattan Hospital, and select fifty of the best scouts to head over and await my orders. If that fails, I’ll go seize it myself!”
Jadiel, not daring to say more, responds dutifully, “Understood!”
Before long, a helicopter roars in, picking up Sara and Jadiel from the top of Manhattan Hospital and flying nonstop toward the U.S.-Canada border.
After some calctions, the pilot estimates they will reach the vicinity of the target airport in about one hour and forty minutes, which eases Sara’s mind.
Even though arge number of reinforcements couldn’t make it, Sara believed she could single-handedly take on the agents and soldiers for an antique.
Just as her ambitions soared, the helicopter pilot suddenly received a radio transmission: “n77dt, this is NYPD. You are leaving New York airspace. Please return immediately andnd at the designated location for inspection!”
The helicopter pilot was taken aback.
The NYPD is the New York Police Department, and n77dt is the registration number of the helicopter he was piloting.
This meant the police had just issued a warning specifically to him.<fn36c2> Latest content published on find?novel</fn36c2>
