After experiencing the enchanting properties of the blood-dispersing and heart-saving elixir, Howard came to grasp the essence of rarity.
There are certain things, regardless of your wealth, that simply cannot be purchased.
This holds true for both the blood-dispersing and heart-saving elixir, as well as for NVIDIA graphics cards.
Overall, Howard felt pleased with the performance delivered by Nvidia and Zach. While both were a bit hesitant and embarrassed to yield, they ultimately provided him with the results he sought.
A staggering forty thousand graphics cards stood as the greatest challenge separating him from a half-pill. Resolving this issue would mean that Microsoft’s data center could be managed without a hitch.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Thus, Howard pressed on toward his objective and made another call to one of Microsoft’s co-founders.
The world of capital operates under a rigid hierarchy, much like the mafia.
While the mafia struggles to identify a truly formidable godfather, the realm of capital has its answer.
In fact, Howard stands as the singr godfather within the European and American capital circles. Through various strategies, Rothschild has secured a stake in every publicly tradedpany, not to mention established banks and top-tier venture capital firms.
This gives Howard a remarkable degree of influence over anypany operating in the United States.
After two rings, the call connected. A seasoned voice greeted him from the other end: “Mr. Rothschild, has it really been a decade since yourst call?”
Howard chuckled, replying, “Bill, how have you been?”
Bill responded with a hint of sarcasm, “Not too shabby. You know, since retiring, I’ve been traveling, spending money, giving speeches, and doing a bit of charity.”
“That sounds wonderful,” Howard remarked with a smile. “If you bnce both good and bad actions, God might just forgive you—wouldn’t you agree?”
Bill recognized the yful jab and retorted with a grin, “Charity… I don’t expect anything in return.”
As their conversation eased, Bill added with augh, “If God truly kept track of my good and bad deeds, it would require a robust audit team to sort it all out.”
Curious, Bill inquired, “Mr. Rothschild, you didn’t call just to poke fun at me, did you?”
Howard replied with a smirk, “Years ago, they used to say, keep your head down. If you pick up a hundred dors, you might lose a thousand. So, I’ve adopted that mindset. Time is incredibly valuable, especially for those of us in our seventies and eighties—time is of the essence.” As he continued,
Howard’s tone shifted to a more serious note: “Bill, I need a small favor from you.”<fn05e0> This update is avable on FindN0vel</fn05e0>
Without hesitation, Bill replied, “Just tell me what you need. We don’t need to dwell on our history; I’ll help you if I can.”
Howard stated, “I’ve heard that Microsoft has a data center in Northern Europe, and I’m interested in purchasing it.”
“Purchase it?” Bill responded, astonished. “Mr. Rothschild, if Microsoft’s cloud service is akin to a Boeing 747, then the Nordic cloud service is also a Boeing 747. The data center serves as one of the four engines of this aircraft. An airline can’t simply remove one engine from a functioning ne and sell it. Doing so would cripple half of Europe’s cloud services, and the remaining data centers would struggle to meet that immense demand. We didn’t build in suchrge redundancies.”
“That’s not possible,” Howard replied coolly. “The Boeing 747 first flew over fifty years ago, and I was invited to witness it. You were just a teenager back then. I know the Boeing 747 better than you might think. Even a twin-engine aircraft can continue flying for 180 minutes if one engine fails. For a four-engine aircraft like the 747, losing one engine doesn’t significantly impact its operation. Does your data systemck design redundancy?”
Bill quickly countered, “Rothschild Sir, that’s not how we view it. The current demand for cloud processing is immense, and the data storage requirements are staggering. The redundancy we’ve built in must amodate peak processing periods. If you were to remove the Nordic data center, it would affect half of the European users.”
Howard paused, gathering his thoughts before saying earnestly: “Bill, I’ve known your mother for many years, and we shared a close rtionship during her time at IBM. I’ve watched you grow into the person you are today. Don’t forget how much support I’ve provided you over the years, especially during tough times. Now, as an old man, I’m asking for your help. It wouldn’t be right for you to create obstacles for me now, would it?”
After a moment of silence, Bill reluctantly responded, “Alright, Mr. Rothschild. Give me some time, and I’ll arrange for data migration. Once that’splete, the data center will be yours.”
Howard felt satisfied and smiled as he said, “Bill, may God bless you, just as I do.”
