Walter’s father trembled as he spoke: “Mr. Wade, if you could allow me to send a message to my wife, I would have her prepare a billion dors. I’m not asking for freedom; I’m just pleading for you to show us a little mercy and allow us to live, even if it’s a miserable existence!”
Steve, filled with rage, felt the urge tosh out again, cursing under his breath: “Damn it, you’re trying to negotiate price at a time like this?”
However, charlie Wade intervened, saying: “Hold on, don’t act so rashly. A billion dors is a lot of money. If you offer 100 million and he offers a billion, doesn’t that mean I could end up making another billion?”
Steve was taken aback, staring at charlie Wade and asking, “Mr. Wade, how do you n to handle this money? Are you going to expose us if you ask for it?”
charlie Wade chuckled, “Isn’t it straightforward? Steve, I have a n that will make this task nearly impossible while giving me a chance to receive the money. What do you think?”<fn43b1> For more chapters visit find{n}ovel</fn43b1><h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Steve, intrigued, responded, “Mr. Wade, what do you have in mind?”
charlie Wade exined: “Here’s the deal: I’ll have them taken aboard a freighter and sent to the Middle East. Once the ship passes Sri Lanka and enters the Arabian Sea, I’ll have them record a video on the ship with the vast sea in the background. They’ll be instructed to inform their family to prepare a billion dors. When the money is transferred in virtual currency, I’ll let them go—but I won’t actually release them. Once the video is out, everyone will believe they’re at sea and not in Aurous Hill, so they won’t suspect that the task wasn’tpleted.”
Steve’s eyes lit up with excitement as he eximed, “Mr. Wade, that… that sounds brilliant! What are we waiting for? Let’s move!”
Upon hearing charlie Wade’s words, Walter and his son felt a wave of relief wash over them.
While charlie Wade’s n was undeniably harsh, it meant the potential to save their lives. To them, the price of an extra billion dors felt trivialpared to their lives. What did a billion matter in their current situation?
Walter’s father then asked charlie Wade, “Mr. Wade, are you really going to send us to the Middle East?”
charlie Wadeughed, “You’ve got it all wrong. You two won’t be going to the Middle East to shoot a video and thene back. No one will think you’ll return to Golden Ling, so Aurous Hill will be your permanent destination.”
At this, both father and son felt their hopes sink.
They would have preferred being held in a smallpound in the Middle East over the grim conditions of a dark dog farm. They had endured enough of this kind of life.
Yet, they understood they had no other option and could only follow along, much like livestock led to ughter.
Steve sighed in relief, unable to suppress his admiration: “It has to be you, Mr. Wade!”
For Steve, charlie Wade’s strategy was nothing short of genius. Everyone would know the Hogwitz family was at sea, making their presence in Golden Ling irrelevant. What other tasks could possibly arise?
However, a thought nagged at him, and he asked charlie Wade with concern: “Mr. Wade, do you think after their family receives the video, they might deduce the approximate location and then try to enlist help to search the nearby freighters?”
charlie Wadeughed at the notion, saying, “How could that be possible? When I was at a hot pot restaurant before, I dropped a chicken into the pot, and it took me forever to get it out with chopsticks. Just imagine, in a hot pot that size, I couldn’t reach the bottom. Do you really think the Hogwitz family could find a ship in the vast ocean? Not to mention that every vessel in my world has a crew of thousands. Trying to board and search would be nothing short of a fool’s errand!”
