When Steve returned to Heaven Springs, his spirits were significantly higher than when he first arrived.
Initially, he had been filled with worry. Uncertain about the nature of the medicine that Charlie Wade was selling in his gourd, anxiety loomed over him. However, upon his return, everything became clear, alleviating his concerns regarding the mismatched father-son duo within the Hogwitz family. They now had to wait for the release of the video documenting their time at sea before they could head back home.
Charlie Wade noticed Steve’s improved mood and smiled as he asked, “Steve, I tackled the most pressing issue as soon as Inded in Aurous Hill. You must be feeling quite happy about that, right?”
Steve grinned and replied, “To be honest, I was still quite anxious beforeing here. If I had returned empty-handed, despairing and ridiculed, it would have been tough. But now, once the video is out, no one will have anything toin about. I take responsibility for not managing the situation better; the Hogwitz family’s dy is their own doing. It’s been a long time, and they only have themselves to me for the people being sent to the Middle East.” However, Steve’s expression shifted slightly as he voiced another concern, “I just hope my father won’t insist that I go to the Middle East to search for them again…”<fn2cb6> Th?s chapter is updated by find·novel</fn2cb6>
Charlie Wade chuckled and reassured him, “In my view, it’s highly unlikely your father will send you back to the Middle East. The situation there is chaotic, and anyone who goes risk getting lost. Even if you could find someone, your own safety is the bigger concern. I suspect this matter will resolve itself by then.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Steve nodded respectfully to Charlie Wade, smiling as he said, “Then I would appreciate some good advice from Mr. Wade!”
As the four of them made their way back to Heaven Springs, Steve’s team remained oblivious to any unusual urrences.
Since Steve needed to stay in Aurous Hill for about ten days, Charlie Wade suggested he return to his hotel for some rest. After a grueling flight of over ten hours, Steve felt quite tired after visiting Heaven Springs and the dog farm. He bid farewell to Charlie Wade and departed for the hotel.
The security team apanying him let out a sigh of relief as they drove him directly to his hotel.
Once Steve had left, Charlie Wade turned to Don Albert and instructed, “Please inform Zhang Ermao to reach out to the younger brother in Aurous Hill. They should keep a close eye on the movements of these Americans. If anything unusual happens, I need to be notified right away.”
“Absolutely, Master Wade!” Don Albert replied quickly.
Charlie Wade checked the time, noting it was only around three in the afternoon. He intended to visit the Champs-élysées Vi on the Mountainside to see if Nanako Ito’s control of Qi had improved. Just as he was about to check in with Don Albert and Isaac Cameron, his phone rang. It was a call from Hank, Ziva Hank’s father.
Charlie Wade answered the call, greeting politely, “Hello, Uncle Hank.”
On the other end, Hank smiled and inquired, “Charlie Wade, I heard from your father-inw that you’ve returned to Aurous Hill?”
“That’s right,” Charlie Wade replied with a smile. “I just got back. Is there something you need to discuss?”
Hank chuckled, a hint of shyness in his voice as he said, “I do have something I’d like to talk to you about in person, but I know you usually have a packed schedule. Do you have time?”
