Afterward, he gave Charlie Wade a thumbs up, eximing, “Mr. Wade, it has to be you! This is even more thrilling than sending him to jail!”

When Jimmy learned he was being sent to a dog farm, he felt a wave of dread. Although he had no clear idea of what it entailed, the name alone, along with Steve Rothschild’s enthusiasm, suggested it couldn’t be a pleasant ce.

With tears in his eyes, he looked at Charlie Wade and asked, “Mr. Wade… Could you please tell me what your dog farm is like? What does it actually do?”

Before Charlie could respond, Steve interjected with a sneer, “Naturally, a dog farm raises dogs, but there are real dogs and then there are fake ones. You, my friend, are a fake dog, and you certainly look the part.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

Steve continued, “Mr. Albert’s dog farm is well-equipped. You’ll have your own cage and a Japanese male servant to bring you meals. Once you arrive, you won’t have to lift a finger. You can just eat and wait for the end every single day.”

Absolutely terrified, Jimmy thought to himself: Being locked in a dog cage? This is far crueler than prison! Is there no justice left? What has happened to humanity?

Overwhelmed with despair, Jimmy pleaded, “Mr. Wade, I’m begging you! I’m quite old, and putting me in a kennel would only waste your space and resources. If I die, you’ll have to deal with my body, which is even more trouble. Just think of me as an old dog nearing the end of its life. Please, have mercy and let me go!”

Before Charlie could respond, Steve jumped in, “No worries, Mr. Wade. I’ll cover all his kennel expenses—double the amount, in fact. And if he happens to die, you won’t need to worry about the body either; just chop it up and feed it to the dogs. I’ll even sponsor a batch of the finest fighting dog breeds in the world.”

At this point, Steve waved his hand dismissively, “Forget it, forget it. Instead, I might as well just donate 10 million dors to Mr. Albert and upgrade the whole dog farm!”

Jimmy felt utterly defeated. He never imagined that Steve would pursue him with such relentless determination, effectively closing off any escape routes. He could have returned to the United States and faced jail time, but now that option was gone. Instead, he faced a life trapped in a dog cage in China. Had he known this would happen, he would have chosen jail in the U.S.!

Matilda and Paul, mother and son, were taken aback by Steve’s apparent determination topletely cut off Jimmy’s escape. They wanted to speak up for him, but initially found themselves speechless.

Exchanging worried nces, Matilda finally spoke politely, “Mr. Rothschild, while Jimmy has indeed offended you, I hope you might consider forgiving him just this once. He has three children back in the States, the youngest of whom is still a minor. If he were to disappear in China, his family would be left in turmoil…”

Upon hearing this, Jimmy trembled in fear, crying out, “Sister-inw, please don’t say that! I beg you, don’t mention it again!”

Jimmy understood Steve’s intentions all too well. This man was intent on cornering him, leaving no room for hope or escape. Matilda’s mention of his wife and children made him dread the possibility that Steve might consider bringing them over as well. Matilda, momentarily confused, wondered why she had advocated for Jimmy in a way that frightened him so deeply.
