When faced with Steve’s question, Charlie Wade simply smiled faintly, choosing not to respond.
The reason Helena managed to persuade Steve’s father, Howard, to shorten the development timeline for the AI model from one or two years down to just one month was the opportunity to purchase half a pill of the Blood-Rescuing Heart Pill.
If Howard couldplete the AI model within the agreed timeframe, he would have the chance to buy half a pill of the Blood-Rescuing Heart Pill for a staggering 50 billion US dors. This was an irresistible offer for him.
Motivated by this enticing prospect, Howardmitted all avable resources to make what seemed impossible, a reality.
Given his keen interest in the Blood-Dispersing and Heart-Saving Pills, it was certain that he would travel to Northern Europe personally to deliver the AI model to Helena and then promptly purchase his half pill.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Charlie Wade could even surmise that he would take the Blood-Dispersing and Heart-Rescuing Pill immediately upon receiving it, without a moment’s hesitation.
However, this was not positive news for Steve. The more pills his father acquired, the longer he would live, which would diminish Steve’s chances of inheriting the family legacy.
At that moment, Charlie Wade looked at Steve, lifted his wine ss, and said with a grin, “Come on, Steve, since you’re leaving today, let’s toast!”
Noticing Charlie Wade’s change of topic, Steve realized the situation was indeed as he had suspected. He sighed softly, stood up respectfully, raised his ss, and replied earnestly, “Mr. Wade, you are too kind. I toast to you!”
With that, he tilted his head back and downed a ss of Moutai.
Charlie Wade nodded and signaled Don Albert to refill Steve’s ss, then raised his ss once more, smiling, “Come on, let’s deepen our bond!”
“Deepen?” Steve looked momentarily puzzled, unsure of what Charlie Wade meant by ‘deepening’ the toast.
Charlie Wade exined with a smile, “In Chinese culture, we say that emotions are in the wine. To deepen our connection, we simply drink another ss.”
“Oh!” Steve eximed as he understood, grinning, “So that’s what deepening means! Then we must deepen it, Mr. Wade; just one isn’t enough—let’s deepen it twice!”
“Absolutely, two it is,” Charlie Wade replied with a smile.
Even though Steve had average alcohol tolerance, he pushed through and drank two more sses before finally settling back into his seat.
Feeling a bit embarrassed at this point, Steve responded to Charlie Wade’s inquiry with enthusiasm: “Mr. Wade, my time in Aurous Hill has been fantastic. I definitely n toe here more often. As I mentioned before, I intend to invest in Aurous Hill, and I’ll follow through with that promise. I may be bothering you from time to time in the future.”
Charlie Wade nodded, giving Don Albert a friendly pat on the shoulder, and said with a smile, “Since you’re already familiar with Don Albert, when you visit Aurous Hill next, just let him know in advance, and he’ll make sure you’re well taken care of.”
Don Albert added with a grin, “Absolutely, Mr. Rothschild! We’re practically family. You have my contact details, so please reach out before your next visit to Aurous Hill.”<fnbd88> This update is avable on </fnbd88>
“Sounds great! I’ll definitely get in touch with Mr. Albert beforehand!” Steve replied enthusiastically, his smile growing wider.
