“Are you going overseas for training?”
Howard was taken aback when he heard Steve’s words.
Historically, whether among kings or nobles, amon dilemma has persisted regarding session. After a father proims his favored child as the crown prince, he often begins to harbor doubts and defensive thoughts about that very child.
Their internal dialogue can be summed up simply: I’ve chosen you for this role, but there’s no need to rush.
At the first sign of impatience from their sons, their thoughts shift: Are you so eager to take my ce? Do you wish for my demise?<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">
Howard found himself in the same boat.
He was anxious that his eldest son might be too keen to im the throne and potentially have ulterior motives. Because of this, he had been particrly cautious of Steve ever since he had publicly named him as heir.
However, what surprised him was Steve’s decision to leave the United States to seek experience abroad. This gesture truly moved Howard.
While he was prepared to pass on the family leadership to Steve either upon his death or when he could no longer manage, that time was certainly not now. Steve’s willingness to venture out and gain experience was a blessing for Howard.
With his son overseas, it felt as though Steve had temporarily left the stronghold. Howard could confidently lead their family without the fear of his son suddenly usurping power.
As he contemted this, a sense of happiness washed over him, realizing that his eldest son was indeed quite respectful. Despite being the designated heir, Steve was not rushing to take over.
Suppressing his joy, Howard asked, “Going abroad for experience is a positive step, but it’s going to be challenging. You’ll be away from home and spend less time with family. Have you truly considered this?”
“Absolutely, Father. I’ve thought it through!” Steve replied earnestly. “Major family decisions rest with you, so there won’t be any issues. I want to make the most of your youth and strength to gain valuable experiences outside. The younger members of the Rothschild family shouldn’t just remain in the U.S. enjoying life; they need to explore the world too. Previously, everyone seemed too attached to theforts of home and hesitated to venture out. I hope to lead by example this time and encourage others to see what lies beyond.”
Howard looked at his son and recognized his sincerity, feeling an immense sense of relief: “Excellent! It’s settled then! The key members of the Rothschild family must indeed travel and broaden their horizons; otherwise, we risk falling behind.”
Steve’s words resonated deeply with Howard.<f81> ???? ????s? ???????s ?? FindN()vel</f81>
As he pointed out, none of the core members of the Rothschild family seemed inclined to leave the United States.
Howard understood precisely why. Their family was like a mountain of gold, located right in the U.S. Everyone was eager to protect this wealth. Not only did it provide opportunities for riches at any moment, but even after the head of the family passed, the fortune would be there for the taking.
In this context, leaving Kingsoft for an extended period was akin to relinquishing a chance to benefit from its profits.
As the patriarch, Howard often found himself wishing that his brothers and descendants would venture away from him.
