The Amazing son in law Chapter 7140

Lin Wan’er (ni) remarked, “The pace of technological advancement inputing over the past few years resembles the Big Bang of the universe. We might see the challenges ofputing power resolved in just a few years.”

“That sounds reasonable,” Li Yalin responded with a smile. “I’m not concerned about my colleagues around the globe. I’m confident that soon, theputing power avable to them will increase dramatically.”<fnbe00> ??? ????? ???????s ??? ?????s??? ?? f?i?n?d?n?o?v?e?l?</fnbe00>

He continued, “Ms. Lin, Mr. Wade, if there’s nothing else, I’ll get started on implementing Miss Lin’s idea and aim to put it into action as soon as possible!”

Charlie Wade looked at Lin Wan’er (ni), gave her a thumbs up, and said to Li Yalin, “Alright, Inspector Li, you go ahead. We’ll reach out if we need anything.” After hanging up the phone, Charlie Wade couldn’t resist asking Lin Wan’er (ni), “Ms. Lin, the university and major that Inspector Li is rmending for you—surely you studied that a long time ago, right?”

Lin Wan’er (ni) chuckled, having lived through many years and earned numerous degrees. It was no surprise that she had explored criminology at some point.<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

In response to Charlie Wade’s question, Lin Wan’er (ni) smiled and exined, “I studied at school, but not in that particr major.”

She borated, “The UCI that Inspector Li mentioned refers to the University of California, Irvine. The university’s predecessor was called California College, and I was its very first student, as well as the first Chinese student.”

Charlie Wade nodded knowingly, responding with a smile, “I had a feeling you must have some connection to that school.”

Curiously, he then asked, “By the way, in what year did you attend California College?”

Lin Wan’er (ni) pondered for a moment before replying, “It’s been quite some time, so I can’t remember the details clearly, but it was before the Civil War, as I left North America when the Civil War broke out.”

She hesitated before saying, “I think it was around 1854 or 1855…”

Charlie Wade couldn’t help but cough awkwardly, saying, “Ahem… I knew it would be a long time ago, but I didn’t expect it to be that far back…”

Lin Wan’er (ni) smiled and exined, “Even though you think it feels like ages ago, I was already over 200 years old at that time. It was around then that many state universities were founded in the U.S. I was rather bored, so I applied to several schools to study. Since my appearance hasn’t changed, I didn’t dare to stay too long in college. I had toplete my courses quickly, then move on to the next ce, treating it as a pastime while I escaped.”

As she spoke, Lin Wan’er (ni) added, “There’s actually a photo of the first group of students and teachers in the historical archives of that school. I’m in it, but the photo is so old and blurry that I doubt you’d recognize me if you saw it.”

Intrigued, Charlie Wade searched the university’s website and found a historical group photo of the earliest students. Although the image from over a century ago was faded and yellowed, he managed to spot Lin Wan’er (ni) among a group of men in Western attire. In the photo, she appeared quite slender, and the overall yellowish hue made her resemble an Indian girl.

Charlie Wade would not have recognized Lin Wan’er (ni) without her prior mention of being in the photo.

After examining the group picture closely, Charlie Wade remarked in surprise, “It looks like there were only a handful of female students at that school.”

“That’s correct,” Lin Wan’er (ni) confirmed. “During that time, gender inequality was still prevalent. Women had a low social status and weren’t valued by their families, so only a few were able to attend university.”

As she spoke, Lin Wan’er (ni) leaned closer to the photo, pointing at a middle-aged white man and telling Charlie Wade, “This man was a highly respected professor at the university and one of its co-founders. Interestingly, he was an orphan raised in the UK. When I brought him from the UK to North America, I became his adopted daughter. Later, when I went to Japan, he even wrote a rmendation for me to study there.”

Charlie Wade sighed, “Miss Lin, your life has been so vibrant.”

Lin Wan’er (ni) smiled and replied, “Young Master, you are destined to seek immortality in the future, and then you too can experience such a colorful life.”

Charlie Wade shook his head, saying, “Society is evolving too rapidly. Even if I were to live forever and no longer hide from Sara like you did, I would still have to find ways to conceal myself from the world. It wouldn’t be possible to travel the globe with different identities and blend into various lifestyles like you did in the past.”
