The Amazing son in law Chapter 7194

“Okay,” Charlie Wade nodded and said sternly, “Remember, everything from now on is up to me.”

With that, he immediately pulled out his phone and called Fei Kexin.

At the time, Fei Kexin was chatting with ire. Upon receiving Charlie Wade’s call, she excused herself and moved to a quiet corner. Speaking in a low voice, she asked, “Mr. Wade, how can I help you?”

Charlie Wade’s tone was serious. “There are assassins in the car who were nning to kill Tawanna. I’ve subdued them and ordered them to drive back. Go immediately and inform Mitsui Yoshitaka to clear all irrelevant personnel from the internal parking lot. Ensure no party guestse outside.”

Fei Kexin’s face paled as she realized the gravity of the situation. “Understood. Please hold on; I’ll notify him right away.”<h3 style="background-color:DodgerBlue">

She hung up and swiftly made her way toward Mitsui Yoshitaka.

Meanwhile, Mitsui Yoshitaka remained unaware of the unfolding crisis. His daughter, Mitsui Xinmei, had a gnawing suspicion and voiced her concern. “Otosan, why did those American agents take Tawanna away? Something about this doesn’t sit right with me.”

Mitsui Yoshitaka smiled indulgently. “Xinmei, you might not fully understand theplexities of politics. Tawanna may be a superstar, but she’s meddled in matters beyond her station. She chose the wrong side. To borrow an old Chinese saying, ‘The winner bes the king, and the loser the bandit.’ She’s part of the ‘losing’ side now, and it was only a matter of time before her reckoning arrived.”

Pausing, he added, “The victor, naturally dissatisfied with her previous actions, has already dered publicly that an investigation would beunched against her. He’s not one to wait long for revenge. Perhaps he already possesses evidence that will destroy her career once revealed.”

Mitsui Xinmei frowned but hesitated before voicing her thoughts. “Still, Otosan, if the other side is so intent on revenge, wouldn’t it make more sense to bring Tawanna back to the United States? If she were detained there before the concert, it would be global news. Breaking hermitment to tens of thousands of fans would devastate her reputation worldwide.”

Mitsui Yoshitaka paused, momentarily stumped by her logic, but dismissed her concerns with a shrug. “Perhaps they’re leaving room for negotiation. Politics isplex, much like high-stakes corporate warfare. Rivals one day can merge as allies the next. You’re young, Xinmei; you’ll understand this better in time.”

Still skeptical, Xinmei suggested, “Otosan, there are only three hours left until the concert. Perhaps you should call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to get rity on the situation. Even a minor dy might upset the audience.”

Mitsui Yoshitaka chuckled. “They’ve only just left. There’s no point rushing to call now. I’ll check in with the Ministry in half an hour.”

Xinmei sighed but didn’t press further.

At that moment, Fei Kexin approached and spoke in a hushed tone. “Mr. Mitsui, I need to speak with you about an urgent matter.”

Mitsui Yoshitaka immediately stood, nodding politely. “Of course, Miss Fei. Please, go ahead.”

Fei Kexin nced at Xinmei and Mitsui Yoshitaka’s wife before leaning closer. “Can we speak privately?”

Mitsui Yoshitaka, sensing the urgency, gestured for privacy and stepped aside with Fei Kexin. Xinmei, however, followed.

“Xinmei,” Mitsui Yoshitaka said, stopping her, “Miss Fei and I need to discuss something important. You don’t need toe.”

But Xinmei persisted. “Miss Fei, does this have anything to do with Tawanna?”<fn66af> Checktest chapters at find?novel</fn66af>

Fei Kexin noticed the genuine concern in Xinmei’s expression and decided not to exclude her. ncing around to ensure no one else was within earshot, she said, “Mr. Wade just informed me that the people in the car were assassins sent by the United States to kill Tawanna Sweet.”

“Assassins?” Mitsui Yoshitaka’s face turned ashen. “That… that can’t be true!”

Fei Kexin, her voice calm but firm, replied, “Mr. Mitsui, you are incredibly fortunate today. If not for Mr. Wade’s intervention, Tawanna and her boyfriend would already be dead. The media would have held your family solely responsible for their deaths, and the bacsh would be catastrophic. Tawanna’s millions of fans would have boycotted your businesses globally.

“You, as the host of this party, would bebeled an international disgrace. Western media would drag your name through the mud, branding you the shame of Japan. Even your fellow countrymen would turn against you. Your reputation, and that of the Mitsui family, would be irreparably destroyed.”

Mitsui Yoshitaka was visibly shaken. His voice trembled as he asked, “Miss Fei, what should we do now?”
