Dutch Speaker of the House of Representatives Huntington said on 13 February 1869 that he would not comment on any trip to the House of Representatives for security reasons.


    According to the Dutch "Australian Times", Huntington was asked at a regular press conference of the House of Representatives about the strong backlash from the United Kingdom when he visited Gibraltar, Spain, "I will not discuss my travel plan, which is the subject of the Dutch National Security Conference."


    Huntington also stressed that he never stated anything in advance.
