《Ocean Survival: Check In to be the Great Voyager》 Chapter 1 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio In the boundless ocean, a wooden raft was drifting aimlessly. A handsome young man was lying on the raft. He seemed to feel the wind blowing over. He yawned and slowly opened his eyes. The next moment, Bick looked at the scene in front of him in shock and fell into a daze. At a glance, he was surrounded by the boundless ocean. Under his feet, there was only a small raft made of four wooden planks. ¡°I¡ Why am I on the sea?¡± Bick picked up the only two things beside him. A slate about the size of a tablet with some words on it. A plastic hook tied with a rope. It looked very simple. [God¡¯s domain slate: Use it well. If you don¡¯t like it, you can throw it away for a try!] [Plastic hook: Use this useful hook to hook the rich resources on the sea!] When Bick picked up the plastic hook, it was obvious that it was combined with a hook-shaped plastic and a rope. The way to use it was to throw it out and hook the resources on the surface of the sea. Bick looked at the large piece of trash drifting over from afar and nodded. The resources should be referring to those plastic bottles, driftwood, cans and the like. It seemed that these supplies would take some time to reach him. Bick picked up the stone slab, intending to see what useful information was on it. [Welcome to the global survival competition. There is almost no land here. Everyone¡¯s only goal is to survive. Perhaps in the process, you might create a new civilization!] [Please read the following content carefully!] [1. The raft is your only home. It is the prerequisite for your survival. You can create a new raft, but the prerequisite is that you have enough tools and materials.] [2. The resources in the ocean allow you to survive, but you need to plan it properly. Otherwise, it will not be enough.] [3. As long as you find the right resources, there is nothing that you cannot create. However, you have to get the schematics first.] [4. If everyone meets each other, be it an alliance or a battle, protect the raft and the resources.] [5. This world is far more exciting and dangerous than what you are seeing now.] [Friendly reminder: Sharks and all kinds of sea monsters are abnormally active recently. They are starving, too!] Seeing this, Bick subconsciously looked at the sea surface nearby. Sure enough, a shark¡¯s fin broke through the water splash not far away and was approaching him. ¡°F*ck! It just came!¡± Looking at the size of the fin, he could confirm that the shark was not small. A bite from it would definitely be fatal! Bick made good use of the time and continued to read the content on the stone tablet. He knew that he could not deal with a shark full of fangs with his bare hands! [Chat] A new interface popped up on the stone tablet. In the chat interface, a line of subtitles appeared. ¡°Is anyone there? Where exactly is this place? I feel so scared!¡± ¡°I¡¯ve been here since I opened my eyes. What¡¯s going on?¡± ¡°I¡¯m the same as you guys. This slate says that this is a survival contest, but I¡ don¡¯t know how to survive!¡± ¡°Use a plastic hook. You can use this hook to hook up the supplies, but the problem is that this thing is too difficult to use!¡± ¡°Does anyone have anything to eat? I¡¯m hungry!¡± ¡ As the first caption appeared, a series of conversations followed. It seemed that everyone had basically activated the chat function of the tablet at the same time. Bick frowned and sorted out the information he got from the chat. First of all, everyone should have come to this world at the same time. They all had the same materials and their goal was to survive. Moreover, based on the current situation, this world should be semi-gaming. If they wanted to survive, they had to find the rules of the game. And the key to survival should be this magical stone tablet. The rules of the game were here. Thinking of this, Bick no longer paid attention to the content of the chat interface. He quickly found a new option. [Trade] He clicked on the trade page and glanced at the introduction. Here, one could not use money to trade. In fact, there was no such thing as money here. The trade interface could only use items to trade items. Any materials or finished products could be traded. This was also a way to obtain necessary resources. Just as he finished reading the introduction of the trade interface, Bick saw someone posted a trade content. [Plastic hook for fresh water] [Remark: I¡¯m so thirsty. Can I have some water?] Bick shook his head. In this vast sea, the originally very common fresh water had become a scarce resource for survival. Don¡¯t try to drink seawater directly. That would make you die faster! Using a plastic hook to exchange for a fresh water was absolutely impossible! Bick estimated that from the current prices, a portion of fresh water could be traded for almost everything in the hands of others. Bick looked at the bottom of the stone display. As expected, there was an additional option at the bottom. [Principle] ¡°This is it!¡± After looking at the introduction, Bick was sure that he had found a way to survive. The principle interface was divided into three branches: [Tools], [Technology], and Mana]. In this interface, one could find a way to make anything, but they had to unlock it continuously according to the progress of their respective branches. Time was tight, so Bick had to know what materials he needed to get first. He immediately looked at the diagram of the unlocked status. [Straw rope: Hay (0/2)] [Bonfire: Hay (0/1), wooden board (0/2)] [Construction hammer: Wooden board (0/2)] [Plastic hook: Bottle plate (0/1), straw rope (0/2)] [Small barbecue grill: Metal plate (0/1), wooden board (0/4), charcoal (0/1)] [Sea water purifier: Metal plate (0/2), wooden board (0/4), glass (0/2)] ¡ Bick discovered that there were a large number of schematics in the schematics interface that could be used to create many things. However, he did not have any resources in hand at the moment. However, he now knew that as long as he unlocked more schematics, he would be able to create infinite things. Therefore, collecting resources and starting construction was the way to live! He looked at the bottom of the display interface and saw that there were no new options. It seemed that he could start a big fight now. Bick put away the stone slab, picked up the plastic hook, and prepared to welcome this wave of ocean resources. But at this moment, he suddenly heard a crisp sound. [Ding! Check-in system activated!] [Daily check-in successful!] [Unbreakable fishing net x 1!] [Remarks: Daily, monthly, and yearly check-in rewards are available.] [The rewards are all-embracing, including but not limited to low-quality, ordinary, high-quality, epic, and legendary items.] As he read the description, a glowing long-handled fishing net appeared in Bick¡¯s consciousness. Chapter 2 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio A thought came to Bick. Driven by his mind, a one-meter-long fishing net appeared in his hand. This fishing net seemed to be of good quality. It was heavy and the surface of the net was very large and deep. [Unbreakable fishing net] [Level: High quality] [Explanation: As long as you put the fishing net into the water, you might be able to harvest delicious sea fish later. Don¡¯t worry about this thing being chewed up by the fish because it¡¯s too strong!] Bick nodded while looking at the fishing net introduction. ¡°With this fishing net, at least I don¡¯t have to worry about food. Moreover, if the fish I catch can¡¯t be eaten, I can throw it into the trade interface to exchange for other resources.¡± He was sure that even if everyone already understood the way to survive in this game, food would still be a scarce resource for a period of time! Those players who could not get food and fresh water would die in a few days. In order to exchange for precious food and fresh water, they could use all their resources to trade. This opportunity to harvest resources must be firmly grasped by Bick! At this moment, the ocean resources not far away were approaching. Bick hurriedly put down the fishing net and prepared to use the plastic hook to retrieve this wave of resources. But he suddenly smacked his forehead and laughed! ¡°What¡¯s with the plastic hook? Isn¡¯t the unbreakable fishing net more useful?¡± The plastic hook could picked up resources that was at a distance of about ten meters. Although the fishing net could only pick up about two meters of resources, the fishing efficiency was obviously higher. He could first use the fishing net to salvage those easily picked up resources to the raft, and then use the plastic hook to pick up the remaining resources. The overall efficiency would be higher this way. Bick started working as he thought about this! The materials on the sea surface were getting closer and closer. Bick could see clearly that they were mostly wood, plastic bottles, and grass balls. Wood could be directly decomposed into wooden boards, plastic bottles could be directly decomposed into plastic sheets and grass balls could be directly decomposed into hay. These were all basic materials but they were very important for the initial stage of development. Wait! Bick suddenly realized that there was a small wooden bucket mixed in the materials. Since there was already wood, why would there materials like small wooden buckets? At this time, Bick had no time to think because the materials in front of him had already entered the range that the fishing net could reach. He used the fishing net to swing hard, directly trapping two grass balls and a piece of wood! With a pull, he poured the materials onto the small raft. ¡°This is awesome! This thing is too efficient!¡± When Bick used the fishing net to fish for materials, other players could only use plastic hooks to fish for materials one after another. Not only did they need a longer time, they might not even be able to hook accurately. The success rate was too low. The time that other players used the plastic hook to hook one material was enough for Bick to fish five or six materials using the fishing net. Five or six times the speed was an advantage that could not be ignored! In just a short while, Bick had salvaged a lot of wood, grass balls, and plastic bottles. The round wooden barrel was getting closer and closer with the seawater. Bick shook his head. The wooden barrel should be quite heavy. If he used the plastic hook to pull it over, it would be difficult. Fortunately, he had a fishing net! When the small wooden bucket floated near the raft, Bick dropped the net and easily pulled it to the side of the raft. He lifted the wooden bucket onto the raft and opened the lid. [You have opened the lucky wooden bucket!] [You have obtained wood x 4!] [You have obtained plastic x 2!] [You have obtained the schematic diagram of an efficient seawater purifier!] ¡°Schematic diagram?¡± Bick did not expect that there was such a good thing in this small wooden bucket. No wonder it was called the lucky wooden bucket. It was like opening a twisting eggs lottery! After obtaining the schematic diagram, Bick did not hesitate to open the interface of the stone tablet. Sure enough, there was an additional method to create an efficient seawater purifier in the schematic interface. [Schematic] [Efficient seawater purifier: Metal plate (0/4), wood (4/6) , glass (0/4)] [Remarks: Efficiency of an efficient seawater purifier is extremely high. It is several times faster than an ordinary purifier. It can fully satisfy your drinking water needs. You can have enough drink.] Bick was a little worried. Although this water purifier was not bad, the thorny problem was that he did not have metal plate and glass. How could he get these two materials now? While he was thinking, Bick had already opened the chat interface to see if other people had these two materials to exchange. [Chat] [Did you hook any materials? This hook is too difficult to use. I can¡¯t hook anything. What should I do? What should I do?] [It¡¯s really too difficult. Other than picking up some materials that floated to the side of the raft, the hook hooked a grass ball. Who can help me?] [Hook as many as you can. Try to hook as many as you can. Don¡¯t waste time chatting!] ¡ Obviously, the biggest problem with using the hook to pick up materials was that the hit rate was too low. Many players could not even pick up an item. If they missed this wave of materials, they could only wait for the next wave of materials to arrive. Under such circumstances, the materials that other players obtained were better than nothing. What good items could he trade here? After a quick glance, Bick came to a conclusion. The probability of others obtaining the items that he did not obtain was even lower. Instead of paying attention to the chat interface, it was better to quickly collect the items around him. After putting away the stone slab, Bick looked at the items that he had yet to collect on the surface of the sea. He tightened his grip on the fishing net and continued to salvage. In the short moment of hesitation just now, some of the items had already drifted away from Bick¡¯s small wooden raft, reaching a distance that could not be salvaged. Fortunately, his efficiency was high enough. With the combination of fishing net and plastic hook, he had easily salvaged a lot of materials. Moreover, in these few salvages, he had obtained two cans! [Cans: Can be divided into two pieces of metal.] Seeing such an introduction, Bick clenched his fists in joy. He was even more motivated. With these two cans, the only thing that was lacking in making an efficient seawater purifier was glass! At this moment, he already felt a little thirsty and a slight hunger in his stomach. However, it was not a problem for him to persist for a few more hours. Food was easy to solve. As long as he could get four glass shards, he would not have to endure the torture of thirst. He quickly salvaged the supplies and was extremely busy. What made him even more excited was that not far away, four small wooden buckets floated over. ¡°Lucky twist!¡± Bick felt that this name was more appropriate! Among the various materials on the sea surface, these lucky small wooden buckets were the most precious. He might be able to get some glass from the small wooden buckets this round! Thinking of this, Bick quickly lowered down the net. Three wooden buckets that were relatively close were salvaged by him one after another. The last one was relatively far away, but it was pulled nearer with the plastic hook. It was also salvaged by Bick at one go! Now, it was time to start the lottery! Chapter 3 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio On the small wooden raft, which was 2¡Á2 in size, there were four small wooden buckets neatly arranged. Bick rubbed his hands excitedly and opened one of them first. [You have opened the lucky wooden buckets!] [You have obtained wood x6!] [You have obtained cans x2!] [You have obtained grass balls x2!] Alright, they were all basic materials. Bick opened the other three small wooden barrels in succession and obtained some basic materials. However, he obtained two cans this time, which could be broken down into four metal pieces. Metal pieces were good thing. Although they were also basic materials, they were much rarer than things like wood and grass balls. After taking stock of the materials in hand and breaking them down at the same time, Bick nodded his head in satisfaction. [Wooden board x22, plastic sheet x12, hay x10, metal sheet x10] Seeing that he had so many materials, Bick was eager to open the principle interface and figure out what to make next. The most practical and urgent thing was the tools. Bick¡¯s eyes fell on the manufacturing principle of the construction hammer. [Construction hammer: Wooden board (0/2)] It only needed two wooden boards. This was very easy! Manufacturing! Bick chose the manufacturing option. After about two to three seconds, a heavy construction hammer appeared in his hand. [Construction hammer] [Level: Inferior] [Explanation: It can be used to build some facilities, such as floors, doors, windows, fences, and so on. It is worth noting that this construction hammer is of inferior quality, so it is very easy to break. ] Bick looked at this explanation and shook his head, but it was not a big deal. After all, this thing did not require a lot of materials. With this construction hammer, Bick naturally wanted to see what good things he could build. Looking at the interface on the stone slab, an icon of a small man holding a construction hammer appeared. Under the icon, there was a list of things that he could now use the construction hammer to build. [Rough floor: Wood (4/4) , grass rope (0/1)] [Level: low quality] [Explanation: It can bear some weight but it must be built with a raft. It can expand the space of the raft, allowing you to take a walk on the raft. ] ¡°With this thing, I can expand the space on the raft!¡± This was great. This 2¡Á2 small raft was too narrow and it was not stable on the sea surface. If the raft could be expanded, not only would it have more space to move around, but it could also improve the efficiency of collecting materials. The bigger the raft, the easier it was to stop all kinds of floating materials in the sea! Now, he needed a straw rope. Bick was about to check the method of making the straw rope, but he did not expect the interface on the slate to display it. [Straw rope: Hay (2/2)] [Level: low quality] [Explanation: It can bind some things, but it¡¯s not very strong. It¡¯s best to check it often.] Make! Almost at the same time he gave the order, a straw rope appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. However, he wanted to double the original size of the raft, so Bick continued to make. In just a few seconds, four straw ropes were made by him. Then, Bick went to the edge of the raft and started to make rough floors. As he gave the order, a rough floor appeared on the edge of the raft ten seconds later and became part of the raft. Continue! Bick made three rough floors in a row, and his raft, which was originally 2¡Á2 in area, became 2¡Á4 in area and doubled in size. It seemed that the raft was indeed much more spacious. Bick smiled slightly. He did not enjoy the fruits of his labor immediately. Instead, he planned to make a small grill. After checking the principle interface, he frowned slightly. [Small grill: Metal sheet (1/1), wooden board (4/4), charcoal (0/1)] [Charcoal: Wooden board (3/3)] He still had the last four wooden boards in his hands. If he added the materials needed to make charcoal, the wooden boards would not be enough. While he was troubled, Bick suddenly remembered that he still had three small lucky wooden buckets that he had yet to open. He had been busy making supplies just now and had forgotten about this! He opened all the small lucky wooden buckets at once. The supplies he obtained were really rich! [You opened three lucky wooden buckets!] [You got wood x2!] [You got can x1!] [You got plastic bottle x6!] [You got glass bottle x1!] [You got orange x2!] [You got a rotten sailor hat x1] ¡°My God, the resources are really complete!¡± Bick counted the resources he got. He thought he could make a small grill and an efficient seawater purifier, but the materials were not enough. However, the oranges and the sailor hat attracted his attention. The oranges were good thing when floating on the sea because it was difficult to get enough vitamins after living here for a long time. It was easy to get septicemia after a long time! That was a fatal disease and it was very painful after being sick! With these two oranges, firstly, one could solve the vitamin problem, and secondly they could be used to quench thirst before making the water purifier. As for the sailor hat¡ Bick picked it up and looked at it. It did indeed look spoiled. It was completely black and there seemed to be some stains that could not be seen clearly. [Spoiled sailor hat] [Level: normal] [Explanation. A sailor hat that is full of blood stains can emit a strong smell of blood in the water, so do not bring it with you to dive. Otherwise, you will be surrounded by sharks. But on the raft, you can use it to shade yourself from the sun.] Bick scratched his head helplessly. He did not know what else this thing could do other than shade himself from the sun. Could it be used to commit suicide by diving? In order to solve the shortage of materials, it was better to go to the trade interface to see if it was more reliable. After tidying up these things, Bick opened the trade interface of the stone tablet. [Trade] [Wooden board for fresh water] [Remarks: Very thirsty!] [Hay x3 for fresh water] [Remarks: Private chat for those with food, I will exchange the materials!] [Grass rope for wooden board x2] [Too much grass rope, I need wooden boards. If you have wooden boards, hurry up and trade!] ¡ After reading a few pages of the trade content, Bick was somewhat disappointed. Other than food and fresh water, wooden boards were now in short supply. If he hung the metal sheet on the transaction interface, he should be able to exchange it for wooden planks. However, the metal sheet was a rare material, so he did not want to sell it easily. Since his search was fruitless, he would definitely take a look at the chat interface. [Chat] [Who has food, fresh water? If this continues, I will die!] [I am in danger!] [Not good! The shark is attacking me! A piece of the raft floor was bitten off by the shark!] [The shark on my side also bit off my floor. Now there are only three floors left. What should I do?] [This¡ Why don¡¯t you give me a weapon!] ¡ Chapter 4 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio In the chat, there were people begging for food and fresh water. However, the topic quickly focused on the situation of being attacked by sharks. It turned out that the sharks here not only could attack players, but also attack their rafts. This forced the players to expand their rafts. Otherwise, at the rate of losing a piece of floor in one attack, after four times, the players could only fall into the water and be eaten by the sharks. Seeing the cry for help from everyone, Bick quickly sent a message in the chat. [Use wooden planks to make floors to build rafts!] Seeing this notification, many messages of gratitude appeared in the chat, but Bick did not have time to read the messages of gratitude from everyone. Because, at the edge of his raft, a shark was rapidly approaching. ¡°Looks like everyone¡¯s encounters are synchronized!¡± Bick¡¯s face was dark. Facing the shark, he was still at his wit¡¯s end. ¡°No! I have to create a weapon!¡± Bick couldn¡¯t care less about the shark that was getting closer and closer. He opened the principle interface. [Principle] [Metal spear: Wooden Board (1/1), metal sheet (1/1), rope (0/2)] Bick was helpless. He was short of hay again. It seemed that he had to get more materials. At this moment, the sound of water splashing entered his ears. The shark was already close to the raft. It opened its bloody mouth and took a big bite at the raft. Kacha! There was a crisp sound! A piece of the raft floor was bitten off by the shark. Fortunately, the shark did not continue to entangle with it. Instead, it shook its tail and left resentfully. Of course, the taste of the wood was definitely not that good. The one it wanted to eat was Bick! Watching the shark gradually leave, Bick picked up the fishing net and salvaged the floor that had been broken into pieces. He only recovered two wooden planks. However, Bick could still afford this loss. The most important thing was that he had to get more supplies! With the remaining materials, Bick repaired his raft first. Now, there were not many materials left. Fortunately, there were still some survival supplies on the sea surface, so Bick decided to salvage a small amount of supplies while lowering the fishing net into the water. He planned to fish up some fish as food first. If he was lucky, he would be able to collect enough materials in an hour or two to make a small grill, and then he could fill his stomach with grilled fish. With this thought in mind, Bick had already sent the unbreakable fishing net into the sea, and he used a plastic hook to pick up the pitiful survival supplies on the surface of the sea. A piece of wood, a grass ball, a piece of wood¡ Bick patiently picked up the small amount of supplies on the sea, feeling more and more thirsty and hungry. Seeing that the required materials were still lacking, he decided to stop first, ate an orange and replenished some water for his body. Bick took out the orange and carefully peeled it, revealing the fresh and tender flesh. In this time of global famine, being able to eat this kind of thing was definitely a luxury. While enjoying the orange, Bick took a look at the flagstone chat interface. Although the crisis of the last wave of sharks had passed, everyone¡¯s mood was obviously not any better. Because the most critical problem of food and fresh water, people had not solved it yet. Bick still had at least one orange to eat. Although one orange was far from enough to fill their stomachs, he did not lack too many materials. As long as he fished for some materials, he could make a small barbecue. And now everyone was thirst for food. As long as he fished out some more fish, he could hang it on the trading interface and sell it. At that time, whatever materials he needed would not be a problem. It would be very easy to trade for the materials needed to make the water purifier. The time it took to eat an orange was very short. Bick was a little reluctant, but he still chose to keep the other orange first. After all, it was a treasure used to provide vitamins for himself. He would need some time to eat it. Now, he could continue to work! Bick picked up the plastic hook and started a new round of material harvesting. After less than half an hour, he got the wood he needed. Apart from that, he also got a small amount of other materials. After counting the materials he had, the sun was about to set. Bick looked at the setting sun that was gradually setting on the surface of the sea, but his mood was exceptionally happy. Now, to build a barbecue, it was time to prepare a proper dinner! Opening the principle interface, Bick first used three wooden boards to make a charcoal. In the principle interface, the materials for the small-scale barbecue were sufficient. [Small-scale barbecue: Metal sheet (1/1), wooden planks (4/4), charcoal (1/1)] Bick smiled slightly and started to make. Ten seconds later, in the middle of the small wooden raft, a small-scale barbecue with a red charcoal fire appeared. Although it was not exquisite, it looked particularly pleasing in such a bleak situation. [Small barbecue grill] [Level: inferior] [Explanation: An undurable barbecue grill can only grill one portion of food at a time, and it takes a long time to grill food. If the charcoal flame is not extinguished in time after use, there is a risk of causing a fire. However, igniting and extinguishing the charcoal flame will not consume any resources.] Seeing the explanation of such an item, Bick coughed awkwardly and sighed, ¡°Is there a need for me to make a fire extinguisher¡¡± Of course, he wasn¡¯t in the mood to think about such trivial matters. An orange was quickly digested in his stomach. Bick touched his stomach. He was hungrier than before, so he decided to pull back the net and see if there were any fish. Coming to the place where the fishing net was set up, Bick pulled hard and found that the weight of the fishing net had changed, and it seemed to be heavier. Then, he looked at the fishing net that was exposed to the water. There were three small, slender, and long fish. ¡°Great!¡± ¡°Three fish!¡± ¡°It¡¯s enough to fill my stomach!¡± Initially, Bick only hoped that there would be something in the fishing net. He did not expect that there would be three fish in the net. He quickly cleaned up one fish and placed it on the small grill. The heat from the charcoal fire began to dehydrate the fish. When Bick was handling the other two fish, he could already smell a faint fragrance. It smelled delicious! Patiently, Bick turned the grilled fish over and let it heat evenly until it was thoroughly cooked. The two fish in his hands were also quickly cleaned. Bick could not help but want to pull up the fishing net to see if there was any harvest. Anyway, the grilled fish wasn¡¯t fully cooked yet, so he quickly walked to the fishing net and pulled it up. ¡°Eh? The weight is even heavier this time!¡± Bick was a little surprised. Judging from the weight, if it was a small sea fish, there should be at least five or six of them! Chapter 5 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio With anticipation, Bick pulled up the fishing net. Along with the sound of splashing water, Bick saw a reflective object in the fishing net and a few dark green ribbons. Eh? If it was not a fish, then what was it? Bick reached out and took out the things in the fishing net. Only then did he see what they were. They were actually six kelps and a glass bottle! [You have obtained kelp x6, glass bottle x2! ] [Kelp: Edible, but it¡¯s best not to eat it raw!] [Glass bottle: It can be divided into two glass bottles.] The fishing net could actually catch such things! As expected, items of high quality were indeed different. The low-quality grill that was built previously could even cause a fire. However, this high-quality fishing net could not only catch sea fish, but it could randomly catch items, too. Bick was currently lacking some glass. With these glass bottles, he would have all the glass needed to make the seawater purifier. However, the basic materials were still lacking some wooden planks. Bick was not worried about not having wooden planks. As long as he kept an eye on the materials on the sea surface and occasionally hooked some wood, he would be able to break down enough wooden planks. However¡ Bick felt as if he smell burnt as he thought about it. Only then did he realize that he was still grilling the sea fish! When he turned around, he saw that the first sea fish had been grilled. He quickly took the grilled fish and changed it to a raw fish. However, he did not start eating right away. Instead, he first lowered the fishing net into the sea before he enjoyed the grilled fish. Eating did not delay his work. After finished eating, he would raise the net to see what he could get. Bick discovered that the unbreakable fishing net had a hidden attribute. The longer he lowered the net, the greater the harvest. Therefore, he did not plan to raise the net before he finished eating. After he was done with his work, he could finally enjoy the delicious grilled fish that belonged to him. Although it was a little burnt, it was still delicious in his mouth. This low-quality small barbecue grill was still very good though there weren¡¯t any spices. The authentic grilled fish made Bick felt that it was even more delicious than the grilled fish he had eaten in a high-class restaurant. After eating one grilled fish, Bick was still not satisfied. He turned over the grilled fish that was being grilled on the grill. He picked up the plastic hook and searched the sea surface for supplies. His stomach was already full when he ate the last grilled fish. At this time, the resources in hand were enough to create an efficient seawater purifier. With a smile, Bick opened the slate interface. [Principle] [Efficient seawater purifier: metal plate (4/4), wood plate (6/6), glass (4/4)] With all the materials available, construction began! Bick ordered in his consciousness and in just a dozen seconds, a seawater purifier appeared beside the small barbecue grill. On top of the seawater purifier was a glass jar. As long as seawater was poured into the pipe, fresh water would slowly flow out from the bottom. However, Bick did not have anything to pour water into the seawater purifier¡ Shaking his head, Bick opened the principle interface again and found a suitable container that could be made with the remaining wooden boards. [Wooden cup: Wooden board (1/1)] Manufacture! In an instant, a wooden cup appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. With it, Bick could obtain pure fresh water. Bic poured the seawater into the seawater purifier¡¯s jar using the wooden cup. Very quickly, water began to drip from the bottom of the water purifier. Bick placed the wooden cup underneath to collect the water and found that the purification efficiency of this thing was extremely high. In just a few seconds, a layer of fresh water had accumulated at the bottom of the cup. It was estimated that in less than an hour, the entire cup could be filled with fresh water. Bick was already a little thirsty. Now, he felt even more thirsty as he watched the drops of fresh water dripping down. However, he would not just stare at the water purifier. Every minute and second was very important now. Bick began to roast the kelps while waiting for the water. Fortunately, the roasting speed of kelp was much faster than that of fish. In a few minutes, the six kelps were all roasted in about an hour. He ate one himself. It did not taste as good as grilled fish. However, this thing also had a certain amount of vitamins, so eating it occasionally was still beneficial to his health. At this time, the sky was completely dark. The only light source was the charcoal glow of the small barbecue grill. Bick took out the wooden cup under the seawater purifier with the help of the faint light. It was already filled with clean water. Bick leaned against the seawater purifier on the raft and began to enjoy the fresh and sweet water. Then he picked up the slate and prepared to look at the chat interface to see what was everyone talking about. As expected, most of the voices were still worried about food and water. Some people used various materials to exchange for food and water but there were very few responses. It could be imagined as Bick had an efficient sea water purifier, he had only obtained a cup of fresh water up until now. Others used ordinary purifiers, of course, they would receive even less. As for food, other players would probably find it difficult to feed themselves. Most of the people who entered this survival competition had probably not eaten anything up until now. With a smile, Bick opened the trading interface. The value of food and fresh water could be traded for almost all the resources in players¡¯ hands. Opening the trading interface, Bick entered the transaction content. [Trade] [Roasted kelp trade hay x6] [Roasted kelp trade wooden board x6] [Roasted kelp trade wooden board x6] [Roasted kelp trade glass x2] [Roasted kelp trade metal x2] Although Bick valued rare materials like glass and metal sheets more, basic materials should not be lacking if he wanted to develop. Originally, he wanted to make a metal spear. He had enough metal sheets, but he did not have enough wooden boards and hay. The wooden boards that he obtained later were mostly used to make small barbecue grill and seawater purifier. There were no extra wooden boards left. Just as he was thinking about this, he suddenly received a trade notification. [You have a successful trade. You have obtained hay x6! ] [You have a successful trade. You have obtained wooden board x6! ] [You have a successful trade. You have obtained wooden board x6! ] That was fast! Bick did not expect that just as he hung up the items, three trades for basic materials had been completed. Now that the materials were sufficient, Bick immediately opened the principle interface and prepared to make a metal spear. The manufacturing of weapons could not be delayed. God knows what kind of threat he would encounter tonight or tomorrow morning. At least with this thing, he would not be so passive against sharks. [Principle] [Metal spear: Wooden board (1/1), metal (1/1), rope (2/2)] Bick started manufacturing. In a few seconds, a brand new sharp metal spear appeared in his hand. [Metal spear] [Level: inferior] [Explanation: You can use it to stab a shark. Of course, if you encounter a giant shark, don¡¯t try to tickle it!] Bick was speechless after seeing such explanation. It turned out that there were even bigger sharks in the sea. Thus, weapons had to be developed quickly! However, it was always good to have such a spear. Bick yawned and put out the small barbecue grill. He hugged the spear and fell asleep. He planned to collect the fishing net tomorrow morning as he would definitely reap a lot by then! Chapter 6 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Early in the morning, the sea breeze blew across his face. Bick lazily opened his eyes. Suddenly, he heard the sound of something churning in the water. ¡°Huh?¡± He looked around doubtfully and saw the fishing net beside the raft was shaking slightly. It seemed that some big creature had been caught. Bick quickly got up and pulled the fishing net onto the raft. The sound of water splashing was heard by Bick along with the sound of a big fish flapping. Bick took a closer look and found that the big blue fish in the fishing net had a pointed fish head. He suddenly remembered the name of this thing. ¡°Bluefin tuna?¡± Bluefin tuna was a delicacy in the ocean! Bick excitedly poured the bluefin tuna onto the raft. Along with it, a few other things slid down. [You have obtained bluefin tuna x1, carrot x1, wood x2, grass ball x2! ] [Bluefin tuna: Usable. It tastes delicious, but it is not easy to store and spoiled easily.] [Carrot: It can replenish carotene. It is great when eaten raw or cooked. ] ¡°This harvest is really good!¡± Bick sighed and quickly began to cut the bluefin tuna. After all, the hint said that this thing was very easy to spoil! After working for more than a minute, Bick broke the tuna into four pieces. He placed one of the pieces on the grill and roasted it for breakfast. The rest was directly displayed on the trade interface. [Tuna meat trade board x8] [Tuna meat trade hay x8] After entering the transaction content, Bick received previous trade notification. [You have two successful transactions. You have obtained glass piece x2 and metal piece x2!] Bick nodded. ¡°It seems that the temptation of food is irresistible. Even such a rare resource is willing to be exchanged!¡± After looking at the chat interface casually, Bick saw admiration from other players. [Chat] [Guess what I saw at the transaction yesterday. Someone is selling grilled seaweed. Unfortunately, I don¡¯t have enough resources in hand. I¡¯m still hungry!] [I bought a grilled seaweed, but I paid with two pieces of glass. Why is this person so rich? He has so much food for sale!] [Look at the trade interface. I saw someone selling tuna meat!] [Tuna? Did I hear it wrongly? That¡¯s a delicacy on Earth! ] [Boss! The tuna seller! If you see this message, can you take me as your underling?] Bick shook his head, thinking that although he could fill his stomach, he did not plan to have a few more mouths to share the food with. Turning off the chat interface and putting the slate aside, Bick suddenly remembered that he had been busy collecting fish nets all morning and had yet to sign in! [Ding! Daily check-in successful!] [Acquired treasure-seeking seagull x1!] ¡°Treasure-seeking seagull? I can be rewarded with this kind of thing?¡± Bick was slightly stunned, and then he saw the introduction of the reward. [Treasure-seeking seagull] [Level: unknown] [Explanation: If you treat treasure-seeking seagull well, it will become your best friend and help you do a lot of unexpected things!] Seeing such an introduction, Bick was still a little confused. What level was the unknown? Moreover¡ where was the treasure-seeking seagull? It wasn¡¯t directly given to him! ¡°Ou, Ou¡¡± Suddenly, a clear bird¡¯s call came from afar. Bick looked up and saw a pure white seagull really appeared not far away. It was flapping its wings and sliding toward the raft. ¡°It¡¯s you?¡± Seeing the seagull soaring in the sky, free and at ease, Bick waved at it excitedly. The next moment, the seagull flapped its wings and landed on the side of the raft, looking at him with its small eyes. Then, it let out two cries of desire, as if saying, ¡°I¡¯ve finally found you!¡± Then, the seagull jumped and flapped its wings, landing directly on Bick¡¯s shoulder. ¡°Are you so sensible?¡± Bick felt the weight on his shoulder and exerted a little strength. This should be a young seagull, which was not much bigger than a pigeon. Its wings were white, and its tail was a little gray-black. It had a slightly hooked long beak, and it looked very heroic! Now, Bick wore a triangular sailor hat on his head, and a handsome seagull was lying on his shoulder, looking very much like a sailor who had been in the sea for many years. Stroking the soft feathers of the treasure-seeking seagull, Bick asked, ¡°Can I give you a name?¡± ¡°Ou ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± The treasure-seeking seagull let out expectant cries and flapped its wings excitedly. ¡°If you¡¯re so smart, then you can be called Einstein!¡± ¡°Ou ou ou!¡± Einstein nodded his head hard and approved this name. ¡°Since you¡¯re here, I definitely won¡¯t starve you. How many sea fish do you eat a day?¡± ¡°Ou! Ou! Ou!¡± Einstein made three short calls, and Bick nodded. ¡°Got it. Three, right? But¡ you have to work before you can eat. Otherwise, both you and I will starve!¡± Einstein nodded, as if he understood Bick¡¯s meaning. He jumped down from his shoulder and used his mouth to pick up the plastic hook. He even opened his mouth to make a sound, as if to show that he was very capable. He was unexpectedly smart. He did not expect Einstein to have such a use. In the future, if there were any important materials that he wanted to pick up, he could just let Einstein hold the plastic hook in his mouth and hang it on the material. Then, he could pull it back himself. There would be no error rate at all! Bick squatted down and patted Einstein¡¯s head. He nodded in satisfaction. ¡°Then let¡¯s work together today. After we finish, I¡¯ll give you fish to eat!¡± Saying this, Bick pointed at the fishing net on the side. ¡°After you¡¯re done, pull the net up!¡± ¡°Ou Ou!¡± Einstein nodded vigorously. Suddenly, his gaze looked elsewhere. He flapped his wings vigorously and let out a series of cries. ¡°Ou ou ou ou!¡± ¡°What¡¯s wrong?¡± Bick looked over in confusion. Suddenly, he was full of energy! A new wave of ocean supplies appeared not far away! He immediately called out to Einstein, ¡°See that can? Hook it!¡± ¡°Ou ou!¡± Einstein called out twice and flew towards the can that was already close by. In just a moment, the plastic hook was hooked onto it. Bick pulled hard, and a can flew onto the small wooden raft. ¡°Well done!¡± Bick praised Einstein, and his gaze fell on the few round wooden barrels in front of him. It was time for the Easter eggs! The first wooden barrel had already entered the distance that could be hooked, and Bick called out to Einstein. ¡°Hook that wooden barrel!¡± ¡°Yes! Well Done!¡± ¡°Einstein, I¡¯m thinking whether I should reward you with extra food!¡± Chapter 7 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio With Einstein¡¯s help, Bick quickly pulled the five small wooden buckets onto the small raft. The rest of the materials on the sea surface were also completely salvaged by one person and one bird. Next, it was time for the lottery! Bick looked at those five neatly arranged wooden buckets in front of him. He looked at Einstein and asked, ¡°Open them one by one, or open them together?¡± ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou!¡± Einstein bounced around on the ground, as if he was saying open them all. Bick nodded, ¡°Okay, we share the same though, let¡¯s open them all together!¡± Bang bang bang bang bang! A series of five sounds rang out, and Bick opened all the wooden buckets at one go. In an instant, items appeared in front of him one by one. They dazzled him a little, and he did not know which one to look at first. ¡°Wow! There are so many good things!¡± [You have opened five lucky small wooden buckets!] [You have obtained wood x14!] [You have obtained can x5!] [You have obtained grass ball x12!] [You have obtained plastic bottle x8!] [You have obtained stone x2!] [You have obtained plastic bottle x4!] [You have obtained the perfect grills schematic diagram!] [You have obtained the nourishing watering bottle schematic diagram!] Looking at the items in his hands, Bick smiled happily. Of course, it was not because he had obtained these ordinary materials, but because he had obtained two schematic diagrams. One had to know that the schematic diagrams that were unlocked on the stone slab could only produce low quality and ordinary grade items. The schematic diagram from the small wooden bucket had the chance to found high-quality or even higher-level schematic diagrams. Bick was excited and quickly checked the schematic interface on the stone slab. He had just obtained a large amount of resources. Therefore, if the schematic diagram was something he could use, he might as well just create it. ¡°It¡¯s settled then!¡± Bick quickly browsed the information on the schematic diagram. [Principle] [Perfect grill: metal sheet (2/2), wood slab (8/8), charcoal (0/2), iron nails (0/2)] [Level: excellent] [Explanation: A safe and reliable grill, the taste is improved. Most importantly, it can grill two ingredients at the same time, so you can save a lot of time in cooking! ] ¡°Hehe! Good stuff, I can use it now!¡± When Bick was grilling food yesterday, he found that the efficiency of the small barbeque grill was too low. Moreover, he could only grill one ingredient at a time, which wasted a lot of his time. Before he went to bed, Bick even put the raw tuna meat on the trade interface. The reason was Bick felt that the roasting time was too long. In this post-apocalyptic survival game, time was also a scarce resource. If he spent his time on something that was not good for his own development, it would seriously affect his subsequent strength. In this cruel world, efficiency was the key! However, in order to build a perfect barbecue grill, he had to prepare charcoal and iron nails first. Very thoughtfully, the principle interface had already shown the method of making charcoal and iron nails. Bick just filled in the materials, and within a minute, he got two charcoal and two iron nails! Then, start building the perfect barbecue grill! Two minutes later, there was a perfect barbecue grill next to the small barbecue grill on the raft. The perfect grill was divided into two parts, one on the left and the other on the right, with a metal net on each side. Under the metal net were two piles of charcoal. Its overall volume was much larger than the small grill, but it could grill two ingredients at the same time, so it was still very cost-effective. ¡°Perfect!¡± Bick smiled and turned to look at another newly obtained schematic diagram. ¡°Schematic diagram of a nourishing watering bottle? What is this thing used for?¡± Bick skipped the manufacturing principle and focused his attention on the item explanation. [Explanation: With this watering bottle, your crops will receive more nourishment, and the growth rate will be greatly increased. However, you must use fresh water to water them, or there will be adverse consequences!] ¡°Hmm¡ crops? You can even do planting in this game? If that¡¯s the case, won¡¯t you be able to harvest fruits? Planting is much more stable than fishing!¡± When he learned that planting was possible in this game, Bick was a little excited. But then he thought about it, he had yet to obtain any plant seeds, so he could only give up. ¡°When I get the plant seeds, I¡¯ll build this watering bottle. Although it won¡¯t be of use for the time being, the function of it is still very powerful. Watering is equivalent to fertilizing at the same time!¡± When Bick was studying the schematic diagram, Einstein was at a loss. When he saw that Bick ignored him for a long time, he cried out in protest. ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± When Bick looked up, he saw Einstein anxiously staring at the fishing net on the sea surface and nodding his head vigorously. When he took a closer look, he seemed to be saying, ¡±we agreed to eat fish after work, why aren¡¯t you giving me fish to eat? I¡¯m hungry!¡± When he asked for food, he looked a little coquettish. Interesting! Bick smiled and said to Einstein, ¡°Don¡¯t worry, I¡¯ll pull up the fishing net right away.¡± As he said that, Bick went to the side of the raft and pulled up the heavy fishing net. Just as the fishing net left the water surface, Bick heard the sound of something flapping inside. The next moment, he saw several ingredients. [You have obtained sea fish x6, kelp x2!] This was amazing! ¡°He actually fished out so much food in such a short time!¡± Bick felt that this unbreakable fishing net was doing a great job for him. With that, he and the bird would get three fish each. He could just have a full meal. As for the remaining two kelps¡ he might as well hang them on the trading interface and exchange them for some supplies. Bick took out the sea fish and cleaned it, but Einstein was already a little impatient. He shouted and jumped at the same time. ¡°Don¡¯t rush, wait a little longer. I promise, you won¡¯t regret waiting for so long!¡± Hearing Bick¡¯s words, Einstein nodded. His bean-sized eyes stared at the sea fish in Bick¡¯s hand from time to time, revealing a look of desire, as if he would drool if he continued to look at it. Bick was not in a hurry. He cleaned the sea fish and placed them on the small grill and the perfect grill respectively. He could grill three fish at a time in this way. Occasionally, he flipped the sea fish and continued to prepare the remaining three sea fish. In a short while, the grilled fish was fully cooked! [You have obtained ordinary grilled sea fish x1, delicious grilled sea fish x2!] ¡°Delicious grilled sea fish? The taste should be pretty good, right?¡± Bick took a whiff of the smell and indeed felt that the taste of the sea fish cooked by the two barbecue grills was somewhat different. Einstein was so anxious that he jumped around when he saw Bick took down the sea fish and put it aside. Seeing that it was so greedy, Bick placed those three grilled sea fish that were prepared first in front of it. ¡°Look how greedy you are. Try it first. Eat the ordinary grilled sea fish first!¡± Chapter 8 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Einstein nodded vigorously and began to peck at the ordinary grilled sea fish. It seemed to be enjoying itself. Bick processed the kelp and went to get a glass of fresh water while the other three fish were ready. He placed the kelp on the perfect grill and grilled it, then picked up an oridinary grilled sea fish and ate it while it was still hot. The taste was the same as yesterday. Although it was not very delicious, the original taste was still quite enjoyable. Then, Bick picked up a perfect grilled sea fish and smelled it first. ¡°Hmm¡ It¡¯s¡ too fragrant!¡± Just the smell alone made people salivate. After taking a big bite, the grilled fish was charred on the outside and tender on the inside. It was crispy with its natural freshness. It was simply the most delicious in the world! Looking back at Einstein, after it pecked at the delicious grilled fish, it actually let out an excited cry, as if it was praising the delicacy of the grilled fish. Then, it no longer had the time to cry and began to devour the fish. He ate the delicious grilled fish in his mouth while facing the vast and endless sea and drank a mouthful of fresh and sweet water from time to time. This day could not be more enjoyable! He was not here to participate in a survival contest, it was like a vacation! Bick burped happily after a full meal. At this time, there were two kelps on the perfect grill, but Bick planned to keep them first. After resting, he could not help but sigh. Although the food from the small grill was also very delicious, compared to the perfect grill, it was like heaven and earth. In the future, the small grill would only be used for commercial purposes. There was only one place for the food that was produced from it, and that was the trading interface of the stone tablet. ¡°It¡¯s decided!¡± Touching his bulging stomach, Bick picked up the stone tablet and was ready to see if there were any new messages in the chat interface. [Chat] [Who has food? I¡¯ll exchange it with gemstones. If you have food, you can chat privately!] [I want fresh water, fresh water, I¡¯m dying of thirst!] [Use a bag of cultured soil to exchange for fresh water. If you have fresh water, quickly talk to me privately. I can¡¯t hold on much longer!] [Does anyone want a banana sapling? If you have food, look for me!] [Can wood be exchanged for food? I don¡¯t have anything else!] [I think you¡¯d better be hungry. I can¡¯t even exchange metal pieces for food!] ¡ Looking at these messages, Bick was a little surprised. It seemed that everyone had a high level of awareness. No one used basic materials to exchange for fresh water and food anymore. That¡¯s right. Under such circumstances, food and fresh water were practically priceless. The players who traded these things naturally knew that although the special materials in their hands were precious, in order to survive, they could only use these precious things to exchange for food and fresh water. Wait a minute! Bick suddenly focused his gaze on two of the chat logs, and a surprise look appeared on his face! ¡°Culture soil for fresh water, banana tree saplings for food, culture soil and banana tree saplings¡ these two things actually appeared at the same time!¡± He had just obtained the schematic diagram of the nourishing watering bottle. Using culture soil to grow banana tree saplings, and some watering, wouldn¡¯t he be able to eat bananas very soon. He did not have to worry about the vitamins anymore! Bick quickly left a message for the other party and posted the roasted kelp and fresh water on the trading interface. The roasted kelp corresponded to the banana seedlings and the fresh water corresponded to the culture soil. Soon, he received a reply from the other party. In the next moment, he received a notification that the transaction was successful. [You have a successful transaction. Obtained culture soil x1!] [You have a successful transaction. Obtained banana seedlings x6!] ¡°It¡¯s all here!¡± Bick smiled. In order to eat the ripe bananas, he put in 120% of his energy. He opened the slate interface and was ready to start work. First, build a miniature farm! [Principle] [Miniature farm: Metal sheet (4/4), wooden board (10/10), iron nails (0/5), culture soil (1/1)] [Level: normal] [Explanation: As long as there are seeds, you can plant them. But remember to water them every day, or else you will only get dried vines!] ¡°Water them every day, that¡¯s easy, there¡¯s enough fresh water now anyway!¡± Bick made five nails first, then he made the mini farm. Although the materials were complete, a new problem appeared. The raft was too small! Bick was a little depressed. Although the miniature farm was not big, it still took up a lot of space for this small raft. Now, he had to expand the raft first. Bick thought for a moment and felt that his raft had to be expanded by at least one circle, so that he had enough space to move around. Otherwise, if he encountered a shark or other monsters, it would be a trivial to break the floor of his raft, if things built on the floor was brought into the sea, it would be troublesome. His raft was originally 2¡Á4 in area. Now that it was expanded, it would become 4¡Á6 in area. ¡°Hmm¡ this means that I still need to build 16 more raft floors.¡± Bick picked up the stone slab and looked at the interface. [Rough floor: Wooden board (4/4), grass rope (0/1)] ¡°I need a lot of wooden planks. I need 64 wooden planks just for the expansion. The wooden planks in hand seem not enough!¡± Bick calculated that the wooden planks for the expansion of the raft were barely enough, so he began to build. As he expanded the edge of the raft again and again, pieces of wooden planks appeared on the edge of the raft. A two-by-four raft became a four-by-six raft in just a dozen minutes. Einstein saw that the space of the raft had become larger. He walked back and forth on the raft excitedly, as if he was touring his territory. From time to time, he flapped his wings toward the sea and made excited ¡°ou-ou¡± sounds. After building all the floors, Bick was already drenched in sweat from exhaustion. However, looking at the raft that he had expanded, Bick obviously felt more secure, as if the raft was a safe island. But the expansion of the raft had used up a lot of his wooden planks, and now the wooden planks needed for the miniature farm were not enough. Looking at the sky, Bick shook his head. Now that the sun was gradually setting, he could not get the wood he needed in a short time. It was better to hang the remaining delicious roasted kelp on the trading interface to exchange for the wooden planks, and then rest early. When he got the wooden planks tomorrow, he would start building the miniature farm. Thinking of this, Bick opened the trading interface. [Trade] [Delicious roasted kelp trade wooden board x8] [Remark: This is delicious food. It¡¯s now or never. Close the deal quickly!] After filling in the transaction details, Bick did not forget to add a remark. However, it seemed that everyone did not have much wood right now, so they did not close the deal immediately. ¡°Looks like I really have to wait until tomorrow¡¡± Lying leisurely on the raft, Bick closed his eyes. Beside him, Einstein was lying next to him, looking very satisfied. Chapter 9 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°Ou, ou! Ou, ou!¡± That morning, Bick was awakened by Einstein¡¯s call. He opened his eyes and saw that the orange morning sun had just emerged from the sea. It was very beautiful. ¡°Not bad! Einstein, from now on, you will be in charge of waking me up!¡± ¡°Ou, ou!¡± Einstein nodded as if he understood what he was saying. He even stretched out his wings and made a difficult gesture similar to saluting. ¡°Oh? Are you saluting the captain?¡± Bick was a little excited. ¡°Ou ou!¡± Einstein replied seriously. After thinking for a while, Bick smiled. ¡°If I were Captain Bick, you would be my first mate Einstein. You¡¯ve been promoted!¡± Hearing that he had been promoted, Einstein jumped around excitedly. Then, he excitedly pointed in the direction of the fishing net with his head, as if he wanted to eat something. ¡°As usual, work first, then eat!¡± Einstein made another salutation, indicating that he approved of his order. Bick nodded in satisfaction and praised Einstein, ¡°You really look like a first mate!¡± Bick pointed at the sea surface. ¡°Well, you go to the sea surface and fetch some light goods, but don¡¯t force it. Don¡¯t bother with those that can¡¯t be carried.¡± ¡°Ou, ou!¡± Einstein nodded. He flapped his wings and flew to the sea surface, searching for the scattered items. On the raft, Bick picked up the stone slab and prepared to open the trading interface. He had hung up a delicious roasted kelp yesterday. The transaction should have been successful by now. Sure enough, just as he opened the trading interface, he saw a trading notification. [Trade] [You have a successful trade and obtained wooden board x8! ] ¡°Great, I have all the wooden boards!¡± Yesterday afternoon, Bick planned to build a miniature farm, but all the wooden boards were used to build the floor. Now with these eight wooden boards, it was just enough to build a miniature farm. Just do it! Bick opened the principle interface. It took him one minute to build five nails. At this moment, all the materials were sufficient. [Miniature farm: Metal (4/4), planks (10/10), nails (5/5), culture soil (1/1)] Build! As Bick operated, a wooden box of one meter square gradually appeared on the raft. Then, the flat wooden box was filled with fertile soil. Finally, there was a green banana tree sapling in the soil. By the time he finished, more than 30 minutes had passed. Bick was filled with satisfaction as he looked at the miniature farm that he had painstakingly built. As long as he waited patiently for another seven days, his banana tree sapling would ripen. Then, after another half a month, he would be able to harvest a bunch of yellow and orange bananas. No, he did not need to wait that long! Bick suddenly remembered that he did not need to wait that long because he still had a watering bottle that could also be used to fertilize. ¡°That¡¯s right, don¡¯t be idle for now. Create a nourishing watering bottle!¡± Thinking of this, Bick opened the principle interface again. [Principle] [Nourishing watering bottle: Wooden board (1/1), plastic sheet (1/1), iron nail (0/1)] ¡°This is too easy!¡± Bick built an iron nail and filled it with other materials into the schematic diagram. In less than three minutes, a wooden watering bottle appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. He turned around and took out a cup of fresh water from the highly efficient seawater purifier and poured it directly into the nourishing watering bottle. Bick began to water the banana sapling. As the water flowed out from watering bottle and poured on the banana sapling, its branches and leaves seemed to be more straighten. Although he could not see it sprout directly, Bick believed that in just one day, it would grow a lot taller. However, he suddenly realized a problem. It seemed that he needed a water storage tank. Like now, drinking the purified water directly, or using it directly for watering, was a waste of the efficiency of the water purifier. He needed the water purifier to work continuously, so he needed a water tank to store the purified fresh water. Thinking of this, Bick started to check the principle interface. After checking it, he found the principle diagram of how to make a plastic tank. In addition, he also found the principle of how to make a big wooden bowl in the principle interface. He wanted to make it together so that he could have something to contain food when he ate in the future. [Plastic jar: Plastic (2/5)] [Big wooden bowl: Wooden board (0/2)] ¡°Cough cough¡ looks like I need to collect materials!¡± Because he had built too many things just now, there were not many basic materials left. Bick shook his head gloomily. Suddenly, he heard Einstein¡¯s call from behind him. ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!¡± Bick looked up at Einstein and saw that he had just landed on the raft with a plastic bottle in his mouth. At that moment, he was using his head to nod toward a certain direction on the sea surface. ¡°The supplies are here?¡± Bic turned his head and looked at the sea surface. As expected, a large amount of supplies appeared on the sea surface not far away. ¡°Einstein, you are definitely the most competent first mate I have ever seen!¡± Bick excitedly handed the plastic hook to Einstein¡¯s mouth. ¡°Now, let¡¯s clean up that area of supplies!¡± Einstein nodded, flapping his wings with the plastic hook in his mouth as he flew towards that area of supplies. In a short while, Bick had collected a large amount of supplies, especially the wooden boards and plastic sheets. There were more than twenty of them. But today¡¯s supplies weren¡¯t right. Why wasn¡¯t there a lucky small wooden bucket? Bick was puzzled, so he called out to Einstein, ¡°Einstein, go and see if there are any small wooden buckets.¡± Einstein flew out, circled twice, and landed back on the raft. He shook his head at Bick, indicating that he didn¡¯t find anything. ¡°Strange¡ Don¡¯t we have small wooden buckets every day?¡± Bick was a little disappointed, so he decided to make the plastic jar and large wooden bowls first. With sufficient materials, it was very easy to make them. In just a moment, he had finished making the plastic jar and the two big wooden bowls. The capacity of the plastic jar was not small. Bick estimated that it could hold more than ten cups of water. This way, he could sell the fresh water he had in reserve and not delay his usage. When necessary, he could take the fresh water elsewhere with this plastic jar. ¡°Not bad, it¡¯s really good stuff!¡± Bick sighed and put the two big wooden bowls on the raft. He said to Einstein, ¡°We each have one. We¡¯ll use it to eat in the future!¡± Einstein nodded and walked around the big wooden bowl a few times. He seemed to be very satisfied. Finally, he finished the work at hand. Bick stretched his body and breathed in the sea breeze with a faint fishy smell. Suddenly, something sounded. ¡°Right!¡± ¡°I haven¡¯t signed in today?¡± ¡°I actually forgot about this!¡± Bick quickly called for system signing in to complete today¡¯s daily signing. Chapter 10 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio [Ding! Daily check-in successful!] [Acquired universal tool hammer x1!] ¡°Universal tool hammer? How universal is it?¡± Puzzled, Bick took out today¡¯s check-in reward. A heavy tool hammer appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. Different from ordinary tools, the universal tool hammer was engraved with some strange symbols, which looked like some mysterious magic runes. After reading the introduction, he was completely convinced by this sledgehammer! [All-purpose sledgehammer] [Level: Epic] [Explanation: This is an all-purpose sledgehammer. It can be used as a construction hammer, a pickaxe, an axe, a rake, and other tools that you may use. Please treasure this treasure. It is an enchantment product of a mage, and it is extremely rare!] Seeing such an introduction, Bick could not help but complain. ¡°How boring is this mage? He actually enchantments a tool¡ But, I like it!¡± With a smile, Bick¡¯s thoughts moved slightly. In the next moment, the all-purpose hammer in his hand flashed with a faint light. It actually turned into an axe. ¡°It¡¯s really magical. With just a thought, it can change its shape!¡± To Bick, the universal tool hammer could save him a lot of resources. After all, building a tool required basic materials. Some special tools even required rare materials. Therefore, he still cherished this magical tool very much. Moreover, this was the first epic item he had obtained, so he had to take good care of it. Thinking of this, he directly put the universal tool hammer on his waist. This way, he was definitely not afraid of losing it. After being excited for a long time, he finally have the time to look at Einstein. His first mate was currently looking at him with an aggrieved gaze. When Bick saw his pitiful look, he smiled in shame. ¡°I know, I know you¡¯re hungry. Let¡¯s set up the net now!¡± Upon hearing this, Einstein jumped up like an opera master. As he flapped his wings, he let out an excited cry. Bick only found Einstein¡¯s reaction cute. He walked quickly to the fishing net and pulled it up. As usual, there was a flapping sound coming from the fishing net. When he looked inside, Bick was stunned. ¡°Good guy!¡± ¡°Today¡¯s harvest is really beyond imagination!¡± [You have obtained small sea fish x5, kelp x3, coconut x1, small oven schematic diagram x1!] [Coconut: It tastes sweet and can replenish water, and can be decomposed into rare materials. ] ¡°Rare materials?¡± This was the first time Bick had seen such a description. The materials he had encountered before were all basic and rare materials, but what rare materials could this coconut decompose into? Bick impatiently held the black-shelled coconut in his hand. It was really heavy, and it seemed like there was quite a lot of coconut juice in it. He originally wanted to open it now and taste the coconut juice, but he found a hint. [You don¡¯t have a suitable cooking tool, so you can¡¯t open the coconut.] The corner of Bick¡¯s mouth twitched, and he shook his head helplessly. He decided to take a look at that¡ small-scale oven schematic diagram. [Small-scale oven schematic diagram ] [Level: normal] [Explanation: An oven that can cook pasta, toast, baguette, cake, cookies. As long as the ingredients are sufficient, you can make all kinds of food.] ¡°Bread¡ cake¡ It seems like I haven¡¯t eaten something like this for a long time.¡± To be honest, Bick really wanted to build a small-scale oven right away, but he didn¡¯t have any flour now. Moreover, when he opened the manufacturing schematic diagram, he couldn¡¯t help but feel a little depressed. [Small oven: Metal sheet (5/5), stone brick (0/8), charcoal (0/2), wood (4/4)] The demand for stone bricks in this small oven was too great, and stone bricks needed to be polished with stones. He only had two stones in total now, and the materials were not enough. ¡°It doesn¡¯t matter, there¡¯s always a way to get stones!¡± Bick clenched his fists, thinking that if he could not make a small-sized oven, couldn¡¯t he make a fruit knife? After processing the sea fish, he first threw it on the delicious grill to roast, while Bick began to make a fruit knife. [Principle] [Fruit knife: Wooden board (1/1), metal plate (1/1)] ¡°Hehehe!¡± A few seconds later, a fruit knife appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. He held the fruit knife and stared at the coconut in his other hand with malicious intent. Crack! [You have opened the coconut ] [You have obtained coconut juice x1, coconut meat x1, half-sphere coconut shell x2] ¡°Is the half-sphere coconut shell a so-called rare resource?¡± Bick held the two half-sphere coconut shells in his hand and weighed them, wondering what they were used for. After thinking for a long time, he had no idea, and there was no relevant content in the principle interface. ¡°Alright, let¡¯s eat first!¡± Bick took the two delicious grilled sea fish from the grill and placed them in the bowl in front of Einstein. His own bowl contained two servings of coconut meat. He turned around and poured the fresh water that he had just received into a plastic jar. Bick put the coconut juice into a wooden cup. ¡°Yes, I enjoyed it very much!¡± Bick ate the coconut meat and drank the coconut juice. Einstein pecked at the delicious grilled sea fish. The man and the bird ate very contentedly. During this meal, Bick ate two servings of coconut meat, two delicious grilled sea fish, and a cup of coconut juice. After eating so much, Bick felt that his stomach was bloated. He looked at Einstein next to him. It was also bloated, and it seemed to be swaying when it walked. ¡°No, I want to lie down and rest!¡± Bick fell onto the raft and began to enjoy the sunlight above his head. At the same time, he opened the chat interface. [Chat] [I feel that the weather has turned cold. Is it going to be winter soon?] [That¡¯s right, I feel that the weather has also turned cold. There¡¯s no food or drink, and the temperature has dropped. What should we do?] [No, no, if we calculate according to the temperature, it should be the end of summer now. While the weather is warm, everyone should quickly accumulate supplies!] [Right, right, right! Or else we would starve to death, I¡¯ll have a meal every three days on average¡ ] Looking at these messages, Bick seemed to feel that the temperature was slowly dropping. Although he didn¡¯t feel cold yet, the situation would be different in winter. It would really freeze people to death! But now, even if Bick wanted to collect supplies, he had nowhere to collect them! ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!¡± Suddenly, Einstein¡¯s excited cries rang in his ears. Bick turned around and was suddenly stunned. He hurriedly rubbed his eyes with his hands, and a happy smile suddenly appeared on the corner of his mouth. That green spot¡ could it be land? ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± Einstein nodded hard, confirming Bick¡¯s guess. Bird¡¯s vision was better than humans¡¯. If Einstein confirmed it, it must be a piece of land. ¡°Land¡ land is a resource!¡± This time, Bick no longer had the mood to rest. He quickly stood up and tried to look at the little green spot that was getting closer and closer. Chapter 11 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Until now, this was the first time Bick had seen land in this survival game. Although it was just a small island, the resources on it could be seen with the naked eye. Trees, rocks, soil, grass balls. This was much more convenient than hooking up supplies from the ocean. Moreover, the amount of resources on this island was equivalent to at least three waves of resources at the sea. ¡°No wonder I didn¡¯t get any small wooden bucket today. There¡¯s an island waiting for me to explore. There should be a lot of rare resources here!¡± Bick was getting more and more excited as he saw the island was getting closer and closer to him. But gradually, he found that the direction of his raft seemed to be off. If this deviation continued, he would probably miss the island. ¡°No, I have to make a wooden paddle!¡± Bick quickly opened the principle interface and saw the method of making a wooden paddle. [Principle] [Paddle: Wooden board (3/3), grass rope (0/1)] This was simple. He had to make a grass rope first! A grass rope appeared in his hand while Bick was thinking. Then, he quickly filled the grass rope into the schematic diagram of the wooden paddle. Only a few seconds later, a wooden paddle over a meter long appeared in Bick¡¯s hands. [Wooden paddle] [Level: normal ] [Explanation: It requires some strength, so don¡¯t use it when you¡¯re hungry. Your will be exhausted quickly. ] This kind of introduction made people speechless. Bick wouldn¡¯t care much. He grabbed the wooden paddle and came to the side of the raft. He paddled, trying to correct the direction of the raft. The effect was obvious. The raft floated towards the island again, but there was a price to pay. In just a short while, Bick was so tired that his forehead was covered in sweat. After drinking a cup of fresh water, Bick felt much more relaxed. However, he still had to redirect the course of the raft from time to time. ¡°I think it¡¯s necessary to get a higher-grade paddle in the future. At least a high-grade paddle. If it¡¯s an epic-grade paddle, that¡¯s even better. Maybe it¡¯ll be a paddle that can paddle on its own.¡± Bick didn¡¯t delay at all as the thought popped up in his mind. In about half an hour, the whole island appeared in front of Bick¡¯s eyes. This island was about a few hundred square meters. It wasn¡¯t big, but there were dozens of trees on this small island. On its shore, there were some rocks. Rocks were almost impossible to get on the sea. Only a few pieces could be found in the small wooden bucket. ¡°Great, I can make a small oven with rocks!¡± While he was excited, he suddenly thought of a problem. His raft didn¡¯t have an anchor. What if the raft docked and was pushed away by the waves. Previously, he had studied the principle interface. Metal ingots were needed in anchor production, and he didn¡¯t have the metal ore needed to make metal ingots. Therefore, he didn¡¯t need to think about an anchor for the time being. However¡ he could use ropes to tie the raft to the shore! Bick admired his intelligence and wisdom and made three straw ropes. One straw rope was one meter long, and three straw ropes would be three meters long. He had to tie the raft to a big tree on the shore so that the raft would not drift away. He looked up and saw that the island was already within easy reach. He still had to prepare some important things before he went ashore. ¡°A wooden backpack should be useful now!¡± Bick had seen a wooden backpack in the principle interface before. At that time, he felt that it was not very useful, so he did not build it. But now, Bick had to go to the island and get many resources. He could not move them to the raft one trip at a time. Having a backpack would definitely save a lot of time and effort. Opening the principle interface, Bick quickly found the manufacturing principle of the wooden backpack. [Wooden backpack: Wooden board (3/3), plastic sheet (1/1), grass rope (3/3)] He did not expect that the grass rope which he had just made would be used up in advance. Bick naturally did not regret using those three ropes now as he could make new ones later. Making a wooden backpack! After more than ten seconds, a wooden backpack appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. [Wooden backpack] [Level: low quality] [Explanation: A practical backpack, but it¡¯s too hard and uncomfortable to carry. There are nine compartments, and each compartment can hold up to 50 items of the same type, or one finished item. In addition, it has another advantage. No matter how many items are inside, the weight doesn¡¯t change!] Bick nodded and said to himself, ¡°In other words, if it¡¯s wooden boards, one compartment can hold 50 items, but if it¡¯s something other than materials, one compartment can only hold one item.¡± Although Bick was not very satisfied with this capacity, it was enough for now. Moreover, the constant weight was too important. Otherwise, if he were to carry fifty stones on his back, wouldn¡¯t it too heavy? ¡°Let¡¯s put something in first.¡± Bick stuffed the universal tool hammer at his waist into his backpack. He felt that the weight did not change at all. He looked around and remembered that he might use fresh water, so he stuffed the plastic jar filled with fresh water into his backpack. In this way, he freed his hands and felt that it was much easier to move. Bang! There was a slight collision. Bick looked up and saw that the raft had already hit a rock on the shore. He could go ashore now! He quickly made three more straw ropes and tied them together. One end was tied to the raft while the other was held by him. He jumped onto the shore and prepared to tie it to a strong tree. Turning around, he looked at Einstein. ¡°First Mate Einstein, let¡¯s go and take all the supplies on the island!¡± Einstein tried his best to raise his wings and made a gesture that was similar to a salute. He followed Bick and swayed toward the shore of the island. Then, he used all his strength and jumped over just like Bick. Seeing that Einstein had successfully landed on the shore, Bick gave an order. ¡°First Mate Einstein, I order you to patrol the island. If you encounter any danger or other intruders, inform me immediately!¡± ¡°Ou ou!¡± Einstein nodded, flapped his wings and flew up. He circled the small island and observed the situation around the island vigilantly. At this time, Bick had tied the other end of the grass rope to the trunk of a big tree and was ready to start collecting supplies. ¡°Let¡¯s start from the bottom!¡± Bick walked along the coast and picked up the grass balls on the ground. He also broke them into pieces of dry grass and stuffed them into his wooden backpack. After a few steps, he met the first supplies that tools were needed, it was a big tree that was as tall as two people. ¡°Hehe, the universal tool hammer has come in handy!¡± Chapter 12 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Coming in front of the big tree, Bick took out the universal tool hammer. With a thought, the universal tool hammer in his hand turned into an axe. Holding the axe tightly, Bick hacked at the trunk of the big tree with all his strength. Bang! Bang! Bang¡ With a powerful chop, the big tree in front of Bick collapsed with a bang. However, the big tree actually turned into five pieces of wood when it fell to the ground. Bick picked up the wood and broke it into pieces, obtaining ten pieces of wood. ¡°So easy?¡± Although Bick had never cut down a tree before, he knew that it would take at least half an hour to hew a tree. However, his axe only needed less than a minute to cut a tree into pieces. Of course, his efficiency should be faster than other players. If he didn¡¯t use the universal tool hammer, but an ordinary axe to chop the tree, the time would be at least doubled. After stuffing the wooden boards into his backpack, Bick continued to walk forward. The grass balls and big trees on the road were all wiped out by him. In a short while, he had collected 30 wooden boards and 20 pieces of hay. As he continued walking forward, a huge rock appeared in front of Bick. This rock was embedded in the soil, and its exposed parts were grayish-white. ¡°Universal tool hammer, turn into a pickaxe!¡± With a thought, the axe in Bick¡¯s hand turned into a pickaxe. He swung the pickaxe and began to mine the rock. Bang! Bang! Bang¡ Similarly, the huge rock in front of him turned into five pieces of rock in about a dozen hits. ¡°Rocks were found. Will the small-scale oven be far away?¡± After stuffing the five stones into his backpack, Bick decided to stop and rest for a while. He found a clean place to sit down. He took out the plastic jar from his backpack and gulped down water. He had sweated a lot after working hard just now. He was very uncomfortable, but after drinking a few mouthfuls of fresh water, he was instantly much more refreshed. He reckoned that in this game world, only he could drink fresh water so unbridled. After relieving his thirst, Bick stuffed the plastic jar back into his backpack and prepared to continue working. At this moment, he suddenly discovered a rock in front of him that was actually shining with a metallic luster. ¡°Eh? This rock is a little different from the previous one!¡± Bick took two quick steps forward and without saying a word, he raised his pickaxe and smashed it at the rock. Bang bang bang¡ Bang bang bang¡ Bick smashed it more than a dozen times, but this rock was still safe and sound. He suddenly had a guess in his heart¡ ¡°Is there a rare material inside this rock?¡± Thinking of this, he raised his pickaxe and struck again. Bang bang bang¡ Crash! Suddenly, the rock scattered into a pile of rocks. Bick took a closer look and found that one of the five rocks was different from ordinary rocks. It was shining with a faint metallic luster. Picking up the rock, Bick saw the explanation of the item. [Metal ore] [Explanation: It can be used to smelt metal. It is a rare resource.] ¡°Smelt metal?¡± Bick was slightly stunned. He suddenly realized that he had obtained a treasure. With the metal ore, he should be able to smelt metal ingots. With the metal ingots, wouldn¡¯t he be able to make an anchor! Thinking of this, Bick put the metal ore into his backpack and sped up the search for resources. If other players came here at this time, wouldn¡¯t he have to share the resources here? Therefore, he had to collect all the resources on the mountain as soon as possible! Thinking of this, Bick sped up a lot. In less than an hour, he had already harvested resources for half of the island. In front of him was another shining rock. Bick was attracted by a green plant beside the rock when he was just about to pick up the rock. It was a short plant with a few red fruits on it. ¡°Strawberries?¡± Bick cried out in surprise. In this survival game, fruits were very important! He carefully picked the strawberries, but he was not in a hurry to eat them. Instead, he stuffed the precious fruits into his wooden backpack. Then, he turned the universal tool hammer into a shovel and began to dig carefully. After digging a little, a strawberry seedling appeared in his hand. ¡°Awesome!¡± Bick put it into his backpack. He planned to build a miniature farm next and plant the strawberries in it. That¡¯s right! Soil! Bick picked up the shovel and dug on the ground again. He really got a portion of soil! Soil was a rare resource in the ocean. Bick decided to collect more. Those couldn¡¯t be used could be sold! Then, he dug for a while, and the soil in his backpack turned from one portion to twenty portions. When he felt that the amount was enough, Bick stopped and continued to move toward the top of the mountain. The supplies entered his backpack bit by bit, and the sky gradually darkened. Fortunately, Bick had already plundered all the resources in the entire island before it got dark! Sitting on the top of the bare island, Bick drank a mouthful of fresh water from the plastic jar and prepared to count his harvest today. He checked his backpack. Bick looked at the supplies with satisfaction. [Backpack: Wooden board x50, wooden board X30, hay x50, hay x10, stone x35, metal ore x3, strawberries, strawberry seedling, plastic jar. ] ¡°What a bountiful harvest!¡± Bick put away his wooden backpack, called out to Einstein who was still patrolling the island, and prepared to go down the mountain. However, as he walked, Bick suddenly saw something below the island. There seemed to be a glimmer of light. ¡°Strange! Could it be there are resources underwater?¡± Bick was tempted and wanted to go down and take a look. However, it was already very late. If he went down now, he might not be able to see what resources were underwater. It would be better to return to the raft first and wait until the next morning to check the resources underwater. Of course, he did not plan to untie the straw rope that tied the raft that night. ¡°Hehe, I¡¯ll cut you down after I leave!¡± Looking at the only big tree on the entire island, Bick revealed a sinister smile. Suddenly, Einstein nervously called out a few times. ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± Bick was slightly stunned. ¡°What¡¯s wrong? My competent first mate, are you hungry and want to eat something?¡± ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± Einstein¡¯s call became even more urgent, and he shook his head vigorously. At this moment, Bick heard the sound of water splashing around. He looked in the direction of the sound and was instantly stunned! ¡°Shark!¡± Bick was a little stunned because the shark he saw this time was obviously bigger. Its huge tail fin was actually almost half the height of a human. Bick quickly grabbed the metal spear and got ready for battle. But this spear¡ Could it really deal with a big shark? Chapter 13 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Under the dim yellow night, the half-moon-shaped shark¡¯s tail fin was wandering in the sea. It seemed to be aimless, but it had secretly locked onto its target. Suddenly, it opened its bloody mouth and charged towards the raft. Crash! The shark opened its bloody mouth and crushed a piece of the raft floor in an instant. Einstein was so shocked that he flapped his wings and flew up. He even cried out nervously, ¡°Ou-ou!¡± ¡°My floor!¡± Initially, Bick was worried that he could not deal with the shark. However, when he saw that the shark had bitten a piece of his raft floor with one bite and was going to attack again, his temper flared up! The raft was painstakingly built by him. He would not allow the shark to damage it at will. Holding the metal spear tightly, Bick stabbed at the shark. Splash! A splash of water splashed. There was a wound on the top of the shark head, but it clearly did not hurt its vital parts. After being attacked, the shark became even more ferocious. It was actually going to bite in the direction where Bick was. Suddenly, Bick remembered something. ¡°A rotten sailor hat!¡± Bick remembered that the dirty-looking sailor hat on his head had a special function. As long as it was thrown into the water, it would emit a strong smell of blood. In that case, why not use it as bait! Thinking of this, Bick immediately took off the hat on his head, stepped to the other side of the raft, and shook the sailor hat in the water! In an instant, Bick saw that the hat was emitting a bloody smell. The shark on the opposite side was about to attack the raft, but suddenly, as if it had been stimulated, it suddenly turned around and swam straight to his side. Bick saw the opportunity and quickly lifted the hat. Almost at the same time, the shark opened its bloody mouth and rushed towards the place where the hat was and bit it. But Bick was extremely fast. When the shark opened its mouth, the metal spear had already pierced into it. Boosh! The metal spear pierced through the shark¡¯s mouth, and a strong smell of blood assaulted his nostrils. The shark writhed in pain, but it couldn¡¯t get rid of it. Bick took the opportunity and thrust the metal spear again. The shark writhed in pain, but it was useless this time. In a moment, the shark had lost its strength and was basically dead. Bick looked at the shark¡¯s body and smiled coldly. ¡°Anything that dares to destroy my raft will not have a good ending!¡± ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou!¡± Einstein landed back on the raft and stared at the dead shark angrily. He agreed with Bick¡¯s words. Initially, he was a little unhappy that the shark had destroyed his raft. However, when he looked at the dead body of the shark, he suddenly laughed. ¡°Hehe! You only destroy one of my floors, but if I were to clean you up and exchange you for supplies, it would be enough to repair a few floors!¡± Thinking of this, Bick prepared to use his hands to drag the shark onto the raft. However, the shark was too big. Bick estimated that if he were to bring this thing onto the raft, the entire raft would be occupied by its body. ¡°I still need to expand!¡± Helplessly, Bick had no choice but to use a straw rope to tie up the shark¡¯s tail and tie the other end of the straw rope to the raft. Then, he began to expand the raft. Since he had obtained a large number of planks, it would not be a problem to expand the raft by a row. No sooner said than done. Bick prepared the necessary materials and opened the principle interface to start manufacturing. In a short while, his raft changed from the original size of 4¡Á6 to 6¡Á6 and became a square raft. He expanded the raft in this way because of safety concerns. From now on, he and Einstein would rest in the middle of the raft. Even if there was a sudden danger, they would not be too late to deal with it and fall into the sea because of the broken floor. After the expansion was completed, Bick used a straw rope to pull the shark up. The length of the shark was almost the same as Bick¡¯s height. Its teeth were like tiny knives, extremely sharp. Bick took a lot of time to deal with the body. But this time, his harvest was too great. [You have obtained shark¡¯s sharp teeth x8!] [You have obtained shark¡¯s fin x1!] [You have obtained shark meat x8!] Bick looked at the shark¡¯s sharp teeth and was slightly puzzled. What could this thing do? After taking a closer look, Bick smiled. He had actually obtained a rare material! [Shark¡¯s sharp teeth: Sharp shark¡¯s teeth. Rare material. Can be used as weapons and defensive equipment.] During the battle just now, it was not very convenient for Bick to use the metal spear. The main reason was the damage of the spear was too low. If it had not pierced the shark¡¯s mouth, he would not know how to kill it. Now that he had shark¡¯s sharp teeth, he could use them to create some more powerful weapons. After putting away the shark¡¯s sharp teeth, Bick looked at those two kinds of food that had been broken down. Shark meat seemed to be notorious for being unpalatable. Bick was not short of food, so he decided to hang them on the trading interface. What resources could he exchange them for? Bick scratched his head and opened the principle interface. After searching for a while, Bick was attracted by an interesting item. [Material divination compass: glass (2/2), wood (2/2), iron nails (0/1), magic crystal (0/1)] [Level: excellent] [Explanation: The failed invention of a diviner which cannot find anything other than materials. Moreover, it can only be used once a day. The only benefit is that the needle can point to the direction of the material for an hour when using the divination compass.] ¡°This is a good thing!¡± In this doomsday survival competition, wasn¡¯t the thing that everyone lacked the most was materials! If he had this material divination compass, he would know what he wanted with just a divination. Was there anything better than this that could be built? Bick was excited. He really wanted to build this thing right away, and the only material that he did not have right now was mana crystals. Then what was there to hesitate? He could directly use shark meat to trade for mana crystals! Bick opened the trade interface and entered his trade details. [Shark meat x8 to trade for mana crystals] [Remark: This can solve your eight-days food needs!] Bick used eight servings of shark meat to trade for one mana crystal. It seemed like he was at a slight disadvantage, but he was very clear about it. Mana crystals definitely weren¡¯t resources that could be easily obtained from time to time. Otherwise, with his own development speed, he would have long found them. In such a situation, it would be easier to succeed if he spent a lot of money to purchase it. As long as he obtained the mana crystal, he could create a material divination compass. He only needed to divine whatever materials he needed. Was he afraid that he would not be able to find the key materials in the future? Chapter 14 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio After putting the shark meat on the trade interface, Bick opened the chat interface, intending to see how everyone was doing recently. When he entered the chat interface, he saw that everyone was talking about him. [Chat] [Did you see that? Someone put out eight pieces of shark meat on the trade interface!] [What? Shark meat? Who is so powerful that he killed a shark!] [Wait! Shouldn¡¯t you consider why this big shot sold eight pieces of shark meat in one go? Aren¡¯t he rich? While we can hardly have meals, he is already dumping food!] [But I don¡¯t have mana crystal¡ It would be great if I could exchange them with a wooden board!] [Would it be your turn to exchange them with a wooden board?] ¡ Bick shook his head. It seemed that he had been too generous. However, mana crystals were indeed rare. Up until now, he had yet to receive a notification from the trade interface that he had successfully completed the transaction. ¡°It seems that I¡¯ll have to wait a little longer!¡± Bick thought for a moment. But he did not have the mood to rest as his mind was still thinking about it. So he decided to take a good look at the principle interface. While waiting for the transaction to be completed, he would use the shark¡¯s sharp teeth to create a practical weapon. After obtaining shark¡¯s sharp teeth, he had unlocked some weapons and equipment that he hadn¡¯t seen before in the principle interface. [Shark¡¯s sharp teeth dagger: Wooden board (1/1), shark¡¯s sharp teeth (1/1)] [Spiked gloves: Wooden board (1/1) , metal plate (1/1), shark¡¯s sharp teeth (4/4)] [Spiked spear: Wooden board (1/1), grass rope (0/1), shark¡¯s sharp teeth (1/1)] ¡ Bick checked carefully. He did not need melee weapons like daggers and gloves at the moment, so he chose the spiked spear. Although this thing was very ordinary, it had a long attack range! After making up his mind, Bick began making it. First, he made a grass rope. Then, Bick filled in all the necessary materials. In less than a minute, a handy spear appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. This spear was slightly longer than the metal spear. The spearhead was made of shark¡¯s sharp teeth. It gave off a faint white light and looked extremely sharp. After taking a closer look at the explanation of the spear, Bick was even more surprised. [Explanation: The lethality of the spear is absolutely beyond your imagination. It can penetrate almost any defense other than metal, but its weakness is that it¡¯s easy to break! ] Easy to break? It didn¡¯t matter! He still had seven shark sharp teeth, and he could still withstand this kind of consumption! Bick smiled complacently and chose to create another spiked spear right away. He would then have a backup weapon. In the future, if he encountered sharks, he would kill them one by one. While Bick was excited, he suddenly saw a new notification appeared on his stone tablet. He picked it up and took a look. A trade message appeared. [You have a successful trade. You have obtained mana crystal!] ¡°Hehe! Everything is here!¡± Initially, Bick thought that he would not be able to obtain mana crystal today. He did not expect that someone would actually possess such a good item. His eight pieces of shark meat were not wasted. With the mana crystal, he could create a material divination compass! Without hesitation, Bick opened the interface and made a nail as he had gathered all the necessary materials. [Material divination compass: Glass (2/2), wood (2/2), iron nail (1/1), mana crystal (1/1)] Seeing that he had filled in all the materials, Bick left and started making it. Ten minutes later, a square compass with a glass cover appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. In the middle of the compass, a metal needle was swaying irregularly, as if it was driven by the magic crystal embedded in it. ¡°Then¡ I can perform divination now!¡± Bick closed his eyes, thinking about what materials he should divine. Of course, he did not think that all materials could be divined. For example, if he wanted to divine the position of the wooden board, it would basically be a waste of a chance. Since then, things like wooden boards were not scarce. Secondly, if there were no wooden boards nearby, searching led by needle position might take him to a very far place and he might not reached the designated position within an hour. By then, the function of the compass would have lost its effect. Thinking of this, Bick looked at the island in front of him. As if he was gambling on his luck, he asked the compass, ¡°Tell me the location of the seed.¡± A magical scene appeared. The needle of the material divination compass suddenly accelerated and rotated. Then, its speed slowly decreased and finally pointed in a certain direction. Bick looked in the direction of the needle and saw that the needle was pointing in a direction on the island. Although the sky had already darkened, Bick could not bear to be curious. He prepared to go up and look for the direction of the needle to see if there was really a seed. Therefore, he took his backpack and left the raft, leaving Einstein to guard it. The entire island had already been plundered by Bick, so what was in front of him was basically clear at a glance. There was no need to look hard. Of course, Bick had been to the direction the compass was pointing to. He had cut down two small trees when he was here, but he did not find anything else. As he walked, the compass suddenly made a 180-degree turn and pointed behind Bick. ¡°Hmm? Is it here?¡± Bick took a step back and looked down. He found nothing but black soil. ¡°Is¡ the seed buried under the soil?¡± Thinking of this possibility, Bick immediately took out the universal tool hammer in his wooden backpack and turned it into a shovel. He dug out a small piece of soil with the shovel. [You obtained soil x1!] [You obtained carrot seed x1!] ¡°Carrot seed?¡± ¡°I really dug out the seed!¡± ¡°Awesome! Awesome! This compass is so useful!¡± Bick was really surprised. Although he already knew the use of the material divination compass, he still found it very novel to use it to find materials. With it, he could have anything he wanted in the future! ¡°Oh right! There is ordinary soil on this island. Is there any high-quality cultivation soil?¡± Bick guessed in his heart. He looked at the compass in his hand and nodded calmly. ¡°I will use it to do divination tomorrow. I will naturally know by then. If I can get some high-quality cultivation soil, my crops will be able to harvest fruits earlier with those soil.¡± With the carrot seeds that he had just harvested, Bick returned to the raft. At this time, the sky was almost completely dark. Einstein and Bick had been busy all day, and they seemed to be tired. Seeing that Bick had returned, they finally found a place to close their eyes and sleep quietly. Bick yawned and laid on the raft, closing his eyes and falling asleep¡ Chapter 15 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Early in the morning, Bick was still awakened by Einstein¡¯s scream. He stretched and drank a glass of water, feeling refreshed. ¡°Oh right! Sign in first!¡± As if his mind had become clearer, Bick remembered to sign in the system as soon as he got up. With a thought, the sign-in was completed instantly. [Ding! Daily check-in successful!] [You have obtained the schematic diagram of the spear launcher!] ¡°Spear launcher?¡± This sounded like a powerful weapon. Bick did not read the detailed explanation and chose to build it directly. Opening the stone tablet¡¯s principle interface, Bick saw how it was built. [Spear launcher: Wooden Board (6/6), metal sheet (2/2), iron nails (0/4), grass rope (0/2)] Bick first built the iron nails and grass rope, then filled them into the schematic diagram and began to build. Three minutes later, a huge base appeared on the raft. Five minutes later, a structure similar to a crossbow appeared on the wooden base. Ten minutes later, the entire spear launcher was completed! That huge volume took up two whole floors on the raft. The crossbow on the base could rotate freely and also had the aiming function. [Spear launcher] [Level: high quality] [Explanation: A successful product that can continuously shoot out spears, but the continuous shooting speed is relatively slow. So before the enemy gets close to you, destroy them. The prerequisite is that if you have enough spears.] Looking at the explanation of this weapon, Bick nodded. He inserted the remaining metal spears into the launching slot and gently pulled the mechanism. Whoosh! The sound of wind breaking entered his ears. The metal spear drew a parabola and actually shot out a distance of one to two hundred meters. ¡°Beautiful!¡± Bick cried out excitedly. However, on second thought, he felt that although this thing was powerful, it was a bit wasting resources when it was used! ¡°The flaw of this thing is that it cannot retrieve the spear that was shot out!¡± Of course, not being able to retrieve the spears didn¡¯t mean that it was useless. If they really encountered a powerful enemy, the spear launcher would still be very useful. However, taking into account the problem of shooting speed mentioned in the introduction, Bick decided to make another spear launcher. At the same time, he also made 20 metal spears and stuffed them into the filling slots of the two spear launchers. After that, Bick took out the material divination compass from his wooden backpack. Today, he was going to divine whether there was any cultivated soil on the island. Cultivated soil and ordinary soil could be used to grow plants, but the growth rate of plants and the amount of fruits produced were different. Therefore, if he could get cultivated soil, Bick would never use ordinary soil to grow crops. Bick came to the shallows of the island from the raft. He asked the material divination compass in his hand, ¡°Do you know where the cultivated soil is?¡± As Bick asked, the needle on the compass spun rapidly. Then, when it gradually stopped spinning, it stopped at the front left of Bick. Bick looked at the needle on the compass and walked all the way to the depths of the island. In less than ten minutes, the direction of the needle reversed. This meant that the cultivated soil was behind him. Turning around, Bick looked down. The soil here looked roughly the same as the soil in other places, but after a closer look, he found that the color of this small pool of soil was darker. ¡°This is it!¡± Bick took out the universal tool hammer, turned it into a shovel, and dug hard. [You have obtained cultivated soil x1!] Bick smiled. He had only dug out a small part of the black soil. In other words, he could dig out many more portions of cultivated soil from here. Sure enough, Bick continued to dig with shovel after shovel, and the cultivated soil he obtained increased. [You have obtained cultivated soil x1!] [You have obtained cultivated soil x1!] [You have obtained cultivated soil x1!] ¡ After spending five to six minutes, Bick finally finished digging up this small piece of fertile soil. He looked at his backpack. In this short period of time, he had already obtained eight portions of cultivated soil. ¡°Let¡¯s go back and build a miniature farm!¡± Now, Bick still had a carrot seed and a strawberry seedling in his hands. He could build two more miniature farms and plant them. Back on the raft, he started to build the mini-farms. Half an hour later, there were two new mini-farms next to the banana seedling. By now, the banana seedling had grown much taller in the mini-farms, almost as tall as a person. Bick planted the strawberry seedling and carrot seeds in the two mini-farms next to them. He watered them with the nourishing watering bottle. Next, he just had to wait for them to ripen! After he was done with these things, Bick was a little distressed. There were more and more things on the raft, and the space to move was getting smaller. The raft that had just been expanded, with the addition of two spear launchers and two miniature farms, the space to move was greatly reduced. Even Bick had to move around on the raft. ¡°I still have to build the floor!¡± Bick looked at his inventory. There were not many wooden planks and hay left. If he wanted to expand the raft, he had to get a lot of wooden planks and hay! ¡°Let¡¯s sell things!¡± Bick began to think about what to sell. As he was thinking, he heard Einstein¡¯s angry cry. ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!¡± Bick looked up and saw Einstein jumping around near the fishing net. He paced back and forth as if he was saying, ¡°I was hungry all day yesterday, and you still don¡¯t give me food today!¡± He slapped his forehead and remembered that he still owed Einstein a meal! Of course, when he realized this, Bick¡¯s stomach began to growl. After all, he didn¡¯t eat much yesterday. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, I¡¯ll cook now!¡± Bick quickly came to the side of the raft and pulled up the fishing net, harvesting eight sea fish. He smiled at Einstein and said, ¡°Let¡¯s eat more today. Four fish for each of us, how about that?¡± Hearing that he could eat four fish today, Einstein instantly became excited and urged Bick to quickly roast them. Bick began to process the sea fish and put the two that had been processed on the perfect grill to grill. When the sea fish were done, the grilled fish on the grill was not fully cooked yet. He took advantage of the time and opened the trading interface of the stone tablet. He quickly hung the items that he thought he would not need for the time being. [Cultivated soil trade hay x4] [Cultivated soil trade hay x4] ¡ [Soil trade board x2] [Soil trade board x2] ¡ [Fresh water trade board x4] [Fresh water trade board x4] ¡ Bick hung up dozens of trades in one breath before putting away the stone slab in satisfaction. At this moment, the smell of grilled fish spread, and the grilled sea fish on the grill was thoroughly cooked. Chapter 16 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio After eating his fill, Bick sat down and prepared to open the stone tablet to see the trading situation. It didn¡¯t matter if he didn¡¯t open it. As soon as he opened the trade interface, a long list of trading information appeared. [Trade] [You have two successful trades. You have obtained hay x4!] [You have three successful trades. You have obtained board x12!] [You have one successful trade. You have obtained wooden board x4!] ¡ Looking at the series of notifications, Bick was secretly delighted. With these wooden boards and hay, he could expand the wooden raft to about 1.5 times its original size. At this time, the transaction information was still refreshing. Bick did not check it. Anyway, he could check it again when the transaction was completed. Thinking of this, he opened the chat interface. At this moment, the chat interface had exploded! [Did you guys see it just now? Someone is buying wood planks and hay in large quantities!] [That¡¯s not the main point. The main point is that the things he uses to trade wood planks and hay are precious fresh water, soil, and even cultivated soil!] [I heard that someone obtained seeds or seedlings, but could not find soil. But how did this person have so much soil? It seems like 20 pieces of soil were hung up in an instant!] ¡°This must be a big shot!¡± ¡°But I heard that someone has already teamed up and formed a pirate fleet, specifically looking for this kind of well-developed player!¡± ¡°Someone as high-profile as him, he will definitely die if his location is found!¡± ¡ In the entire chat interface, everyone was talking about themselves, but Bick was very calm. On the contrary, the information about the pirate fleet caught his attention. He had grown so fat, and in the eyes of the pirates, he was a beautiful piece of meat. If they met him, they would definitely not let him go. However¡ if they wanted to plunder his resources, they had to first ask these two spear launchers! Bick smiled slightly, closed the chat interface, and opened the trade interface again. At this time, all the items that he had hung up had been successfully traded. He had obtained enough wood and hay to expand the raft. He began to build the floor of the raft, piecing it together on the edge of the raft. In just half an hour, the 6¡Á6 raft had become a 9¡Á6 raft. The two spear launchers were placed at the bow of the raft. They looked quite powerful. After the expansion of the raft, all kinds of materials were arranged relatively reasonably. At the front of the raft were two spear launchers. Separated by some distance, there were two barbecue grills and a water purifier. In the middle and back of the raft were three miniature farms, and behind the miniature farms was the newly built expanded space, Bick planned to rest in this area in the future. Firstly, it was spacious, and secondly, there was a miniature farm that could shade the sun. When it was dangerous, he could use the miniature farm as a place to dodge. By the time he was done with all this, it was already past noon. This was the time of the day when the sun was at its most poisonous. Naturally, Bick could not stay idle, but what was the most appropriate thing to do under such a large sun? While he was hesitating, Einstein called out ¡°ou ou¡± a few times. Bick turned his head and saw Einstein flapping his wings and flying towards the edge of the island. He kept nodding his head vigorously. Bick was slightly stunned, and then he suddenly understood. ¡°Oh right! I haven¡¯t had the chance to explore the underwater resources!¡± This was a good job. Diving into the water to explore the resources did not need to be under the sun. Moreover, there was plenty of sunlight at this time, so he could see the underwater resources more clearly. Thinking of this, Bick was about to jump into the water with the wooden backpack on his back. But after a short pause, he suddenly remembered that he had to take off his rotten sailor hat first. Once he took it into the water, it would emit a strong smell of blood, which might attract the sharks nearby. When he was ready, Bick jumped lightly. Splash! A wave of water splashed, and Bick had already swam underwater. As soon as he entered the water, Bick felt a little strange. He had learned to swim before, but his swimming skills were just barely enough. But this time, when he entered the water, he actually felt like he was at ease, as if it was not difficult at all to move in the water. Moreover, it seemed that he did not need to breathe often. When he was on the shore, he did not notice this. When he entered the water, he actually found that he could hold his breath for more than ten minutes. Moreover, he did not feel uncomfortable holding his breath for more than ten minutes. If he were to calculate his limit, he estimated that fifteen to twenty minutes would not be a problem. ¡°Could it be that the continuous check-in also has the effect of strengthening one¡¯s physique?¡± This was the only possibility that Bick could think of. However, what was he thinking now? Since he was good at underwater activities, he should quickly start working. When he swam to the edge of the island, Bick saw some glowing rocks under the water. He had an impression of that luster. It should be rocks that contained metal. Thinking of this, he took out the universal tool hammer in his backpack and directly turned it into a pickaxe, chiseling towards the rocks. Bang bang bang bang bang¡ Bick waved the pickaxe in the seawater effortlessly. The sound of pickaxe colliding with the rock seemed dull. Soon, the rock shattered into small pieces. Bick picked up the materials and took a closer look. He found five rocks, two of which were rocks, and three of which were metal ores! ¡°Such a high output of metal ores!¡± Bick was slightly stunned, but it turned into a pleasant surprise later. After all, the rocks on the island could get at most one piece of metal ore after mining, but the output here was three times that on the shore. If he found more such rocks, he would soon be able to collect a large amount of metal ores. Along the edge of the shore, Bick mined a few more rocks with high metal content. In about half an hour, he had mined all of these rocks. After taking another breath, Bick dived into the water again. This time he swam deeper into the water. There, he saw some unknown seaweed and the thick mud at the bottom. Although he did not know what the use of this thing was, Bick still collected some. He collected 20 pieces of the thick mud and seaweed and stuffed them into his wooden backpack. He looked around and found that there was no more material to collect. Bick put away his universal tool hammer and swam to the surface. Just as his head emerged from the water surface, he suddenly heard Einstein¡¯s call. ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± Bick looked in the direction Einstein¡¯s head was pointing at and saw that not far away, a piece of material appeared on the sea surface and was getting closer to this place. ¡°That¡¯s great!¡± Bick smiled slightly. He had no intention of climbing onto the raft at all. Previously, when there were supplies drifting over, he did not go into the water because he was worried about sharks. Secondly, he was worried that after he went into the water, the raft would drift away. Now, the raft was tied to the side of the island by ropes and he had suddenly become exceptionally proficient in the water. What was there to worry about? He could just swim over and pick up the supplies. ¡°First Mate Einstein, help me patrol the area. Are there any sharks nearby?¡± Chapter 17 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°Barrels!¡± Bick¡¯s gaze was first fixed on the five floating barrels. Suddenly, he felt that the sizes of the barrels were different. One of the barrels was obviously bigger than the others. Bick guessed that there should be more resources in that big barrel. He quickly swam to the side of the barrel and temporarily ignored the other resources. Then, he directly grabbed the barrel. [You have obtained the fortune barrel x1!] [Fortune barrel] [Explanation: It has more resources than the lucky little bucket. You will definitely obtain some uncommon resources.] Seeing such a notification, Bick could not help but feel a little expectant. However, he was not in a hurry. Instead, he first fished out the other four lucky little buckets and put them into his backpack. After he was done with all of this, Bick¡¯s backpack was almost full. [Backpack: Seaweed x20, sticky soil x20, metal ore x15, stone x10, small wooden barrel x4, large wooden barrel x1, universal tool hammer, empty, empty. ] Although there were still two empty boxes in the backpack, they definitely could not hold all kinds of materials from the sea. Bick decided to swim to the raft first and unpack all the things in the backpack. At the same time, he would also open a prize! ¡°Einstein, I¡¯m going to check out the prize. Come back and take a look!¡± Einstein heard Bick¡¯s call and shouted excitedly. He landed on the raft and flapped his wings excitedly. Bick climbed onto the raft and first took out the things in the backpack one by one. A pile of materials and five wooden barrels appeared in front of Einstein. Before Bick could say anything, Einstein jumped onto the fortune barrel and pecked at the lid of the barrel with his mouth. ¡°Open the big one first?¡± ¡°Ou! Ou!¡± Einstein nodded. ¡°Okay!¡± Bick answered and opened the bucket. [You opened the fortune barrel!] [You got wood x4!] [You got plastic x2!] [You got stone x2!] [You got perfect furnace schematic diagram.] [You have obtained impatient gloves x1!] ¡°Two important items popped out!¡± It was needless to say how important the schematic diagram was. As for the impatient gloves, Bick felt that they were not bad items, but he did not know what they were used for. He would not rest until he had taken them out to check. Bick excitedly took out the prize and looked at the description of the item. [Perfect furnace schematic diagram] [Level: high quality] [Explanation: Metal ores can be refined into higher purity metals. This will greatly expand the variety of items you can build!] ¡°It just so happens that I have so many metal ores in my hands. If I use it to refine them, I will definitely unlock many new schematic diagrams!¡± Bick looked at the impatient glove again. In comparison, he was more curious about it. [The impatient glove] [Level: high quality] [Explanation: A glove owned by an impatient person. Because it has been used by this impatient person all year round, it gradually has the characteristics of an impatient person. As long as you wear this pair of gloves, the efficiency of your work will be greatly increased! ] ¡°Accelerate?¡± Looking at such an explanation, Bick nodded his head in satisfaction. If the function of this impatient glove was to accelerate, then when he worked, he would save a lot of time. Unable to wait, Bick wanted to test the effect of this impatient glove. This glove was black and very elastic. It was just the right size to wear, and it would not feel too hot with it. Picking up the nourishing watering bottle, Bick went to the front of the miniature farm and began watering. A strange thing happened! The watering process, which originally took more than a minute, was completed in half a minute after putting on the impatient gloves. Bick could clearly feel that his watering action had become faster, and even the speed of fresh water flowing out of the watering bottle had become faster. ¡°What a good thing. I can save a lot of time with it!¡± With this pair of gloves on, Bick did not plan to take them off. After all, he would not feel uncomfortable wearing the gloves. Next, Bick opened the other four small wooden buckets. Bang bang bang bang! Almost in an instant, the lids of the four small wooden buckets were opened by Bick. [You have opened the lucky little bucket x4] [You have obtained board x8] [You have obtained hay x6] [You have obtained stone x6] [You have obtained soda can x3] [You have obtained mana crystal x1] [You have obtained potato x2] Although the items dropped from the four lucky barrels were quite a lot, most of them were basic materials. However, the last two prizes attracted Bick¡¯s attention. Mana crystals were the basic materials required for the [Mana] classification in the principle interface. With them, one could create all sorts of mystical items in the [Mana] classification. Based on Bick¡¯s current understanding of the situation, mana crystals were extremely rare. He estimated that all players together would not have more than one hundred mana spars. Bick put away the purple gem-like object and took out two potatoes. [Potatoes: delicious food, very good for satiating hunger!] The introduction of this item was very simple. However, Bick treasured these two potatoes very much. There was no other reason. He loved the taste of potatoes too much. Ever since he came to this survival competition, Bick had never eaten potatoes. ¡°Roast potatoes today!¡± He turned his head and looked at Einstein. ¡°You must have never eaten roast potatoes, do you want to try them tonight?¡± ¡°Ou! Ou!¡± Einstein nodded quickly, as if he had a strong expectation for this strange food. ¡°Okay! But you have to wait until I finish salvaging the remaining materials!¡± At this time, the large amount of basic materials on the sea surface had already approached the raft. Bikc directly jumped down and used his hands to pick up the various materials floating on the surface of the sea. Then, he directly stuffed them into his backpack. With his impatient gloves, Bick¡¯s speed was much faster. The materials were decomposed and packed in less than a second. This wave of materials only took Bick about ten minutes to collect all of them. He swam to the raft and took out the items in the wooden backpack one by one. Einstein used his mouth to pick up these things to the side and took the initiative to sort them. Bick smiled and thought, this little thing must have heard that I would feed it baked potatoes after finishing my work, so it was hungry! With Einstein¡¯s help, the items were quickly sorted. Bick lit up the perfect barbecue grill and placed the two potatoes on two barbecue nets. Soon, the potatoes on the barbecue emitted a fragrance. Bick leaned over to smell the food. He almost drooled. Einstein flapped his wings eagerly and wanted to taste the delicious baked potatoes right away. Bick placed the two baked potatoes in two large wooden bowls. One person and one bird started to enjoy the food and soon, the potatoes were gone. Chapter 18 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°Potatoes really make us sated!¡± After a full meal, Bick touched his slightly bulging stomach and revealed a satisfied smile. While resting after the meal, he opened the chat interface on the slate to see what news there was for today. [Chat] [I met pirates who robbed me. They formed a group and took away all my resources. How am I supposed to live? How am I supposed to live?!] [I also met some pirates. They were robbing other people. When I saw them, I quickly paddled the raft and escaped. That was how I narrowly escaped the calamity.] [Then everyone must be careful!] [I¡¯m too poor. The pirates probably didn¡¯t have anything to rob when they saw me. Now, I only rely on a fishing rod to live.] ¡ When he saw these news, Bick felt somewhat sympathetic for these people¡¯s sufferings. They had just entered this large-scale survival game, so a group of players should had been eliminated because they did not know how to survive due to the lack of resources. Now, some players had survived with great difficulty, but they had to face the pirates that could appear at any moment. This was simply asking for death! Of course, Bick was not worried about the problems that the others were worried about because even if he encountered a small wave of pirates, they could only choose to retreat when faced with his two spear launchers. If the other party chose to attack forcefully, he didn¡¯t mind shooting all of the dregs into the sea. When that time came, he wouldn¡¯t waste any of their resources! Bick wouldn¡¯t rob others, but when he encountered pirates, he wouldn¡¯t be merciful and would take the resources they accumulated as his own. That was to represent justice and eliminate evil! After resting for a short while, Bick got up from the floor and was about to start working. He had just obtained the perfect furnace schematics, and now he could build them. He opened the slate principle interface. Bick saw how to build the perfect furnace. [Perfect furnace: Wood (2/2), sheet metal (6/6), charcoal (0/2), stone bricks (0/6), iron nails (0/4)] ¡°There are so many things that need to be prepared!¡± To build the perfect stone slab schematics, charcoal, stone bricks, and iron nails were needed. And these things needed to be made on the spot. Bick first made these things in corresponding quantities. Bick found that his speed was much faster than before by wearing the pair of impatient gloves. After all the materials were ready, Bick filled them all into the schematics. After about five minutes, a furnace base that was burning with charcoal appeared. Less than a minute later, the top of the furnace had been sealed, and there was a mold slot on the side that allowed metal to flow out. It was almost completed at the same time. Based on Bick¡¯s experience, it would take at least half an hour to create such a large-scale object. However, this time it only took less than 15 minutes. ¡°What an impatient pair of gloves!¡± With this pair of gloves, the amount of work that Bick could do in 24 hours was equivalent to the work of other players for 48 hours. This was not even counting the fact that he was already more efficient than most players. Looking at the perfect furnace made of stone bricks in front of him, Bick could not wait to take out the metal ores he had collected. There were a total of 18 metal ores. According to the smelting requirements of the perfect furnace, three metal ores could be smelted once, and one metal ingot could be produced. ¡°In other words, 18 metal ores can only be smelted into six metal ingots?¡± Bick was a little speechless. This output was really not satisfactory. What could six metal ingots do? Although Bick ridiculed in his heart, he still followed the instructions of the smelting furnace and threw three metal ores into it. Almost at the same time, he saw the flames in the smelting furnace suddenly rise. The blazing temperature had already begun to melt the metal ores. Although the smelting speed was relatively slow, the progress was still visible to the naked eye. Moreover, Bick suddenly discovered that the perfect smelting furnace had another use, which was to be used as a fire furnace. As long as he stayed beside the smelting furnace, he would feel a continuous heat wave rushing towards him. ¡°Smelting metal ores at night, it¡¯s not bad for warming!¡± Bick smiled leisurely and opened the remote interface in the slate, intending to take a good look at what metal ingots could make. Just as he checked a few contents, he saw a familiar item. [Anchor: Metal ingot (0/1), grass rope (0/8), iron nails (0/2), wood board (4/4)] [Grade: low quality] [Explanation: A stable anchor, but it¡¯s troublesome to pull and lower it. In addition, it¡¯s not strong enough.] Looking at this explanation, Bick raised his eyebrows. Although this thing didn¡¯t seem very reliable, as long as he was careful when using it, it shouldn¡¯t break. At most, he could unlock a better anchor in the future and build a new one. Now, he had to have an anchor for temporary use. Thinking of this, he began to prepare grass ropes and iron nails. As for the metal ingots, they would naturally be refined in a while. Bick put on his impatient gloves and made eight grass ropes and two iron nails in less than five minutes. At this time, the metal ingots had not been refined yet. After a moment, Bick always felt that there was some chaos on the raft. As he stored more and more materials, the space they occupied on the raft grew larger and larger. Of course, the main reason was that it was too chaotic. He had to think of a way to organize it. ¡°Why not build a storage box!¡± Bick had seen this thing in the principle interface before. He did not build it because he thought it was not very useful, but now that he had too many things, it would be safer to keep them. As he was thinking, Bick opened the far away interface and found the manufacturing principle of the storage box. [Storage box: Wood (4/4), metal (2/2), iron nails (0/2)] [Level: normal] [Explanation: With 20 storage boxes, you can put a lot of things, but you have to be careful of fire!] He casually glanced at the explanation, but Bick didn¡¯t care. How powerful could a normal storage box be? He first built the needed iron nails, then chose a suitable place on the raft and began to build the storage box. A moment later, a large wooden box that was half the height of a man appeared in front of him. He opened the large wooden box and there were 20 empty lattices inside. He stuffed all the materials on the raft into the storage box, and it automatically stacked up. Just like a wooden backpack, each lattice could hold 20 materials. In other words, this storage box could hold 400 materials! ¡°That¡¯s enough!¡± At least, this storage box was enough for the early stage. Moreover, not only did it save space on the raft, but it also brought more convenience to access things. On the other side, just as he stuffed all the items into the storage box, he heard a plop behind him. He looked back and saw the furnace mold flipped and a silver metal ingot fell out. Chapter 19 Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio With the metal ingot in his hands, Bick directly inserted it into the manufacturing schematics to make the anchor. In less than a minute, a wooden stake appeared at the end of the raft. Then, a long straw rope was coiled around the wooden stake. At the end of the straw rope was a metal anchor. This anchor was very heavy and could only be pulled up manually. If not for Bick¡¯s body being strengthened, it would have been quite difficult to retrieve and release this heavy anchor. He was a little depressed looking at the thing when he suddenly heard Einstein¡¯s urgent cry. ¡°Ou Ou! Ou Ou Ou!¡± ¡°Huh?¡± The voice did not come from the raft, but from afar. Bic immediately looked in the direction of the voice, and only then did he realize that Einstein had flown far away and was now flapping his wings and landing on the raft. ¡°What¡¯s wrong? Einstein,¡± Bick asked in confusion. Einstein landed and kept pushing his head in the direction it flew back. He looked very anxious. What happened? Bick was a little puzzled. He looked in that direction and realized that there was a raft slowly approaching in the distance. Of course, the raft only seemed to move very slowly. Bick could see that the woman standing on the raft was desperately rowing the paddle in her hand, as if she was trying to escape from something. In just a moment, Bick understood what danger she was hiding from. In the furthest distance he could see, seven or eight rafts appeared. The people on the rafts were rowing the paddle vigorously, obviously heading toward the front of her raft. The woman seemed to be exhausted. Although she didn¡¯t stop paddling, her speed had obviously started to slow down. The few rafts chasing behind her were getting closer and closer to her. Bick even saw the people on the rafts behind her cheering with all their might. ¡°I didn¡¯t expect to meet pirates¡¡± Bick secretly ridiculed in his heart. He saw that the pirates on the opposite side had already approached the woman¡¯s raft. They jumped onto the raft and began to plunder the resources on the raft. Two of them even tied the woman up. After that, the empty raft was tied behind the pirate¡¯s raft and it was approaching the center of the pirate fleet. The remaining pirates were excitedly communicating on the raft. Then, Bick saw one of them pointed in his direction. ¡°You want to rob me?¡± Bick couldn¡¯t help but sneered. These thieves actually wanted to rob him. They were simply walking into a trap. But in the next moment, Bick¡¯s feelings were a little complicated because he saw the pirates on the rafts pulled up a signal flag and waved it vigorously for a while. Then, Bick saw more and more rafts gradually appeared further away from the sea. And in the middle of these rafts, there was obviously a bigger raft. That raft even had a big flag hanging high up, a flag with a skeleton pattern, fluttering in the wind. ¡°This thing¡ could it be some special item?¡± Bick was a little confused, but he couldn¡¯t take care of these details at this time because the number of pirates had already exceeded his expectations. After a rough estimation, the enemy had at least thirty rafts. In other words, this group of pirates had the combat strength of more than thirty people. To gather so many pirates in this game, there must be a huge distribution of benefits. In other words, the poorest of these thirty people were richer than most players. They had plundered a large amount of resources, so naturally, they also had higher defense items and combat weapons. Therefore, this battle could not be underestimated. In fact, if Bick could stay far away from these pirates, he really did not want to take such a risk. However, his raft¡¯s speed was obviously not as fast as the pirates. Therefore, the only thing he could do now was to immediately prepare for battle. He first pulled up the anchor that he had just lowered and prepared to move and evade at any time. He was near the island, and this terrain was advantageous for him to fight with the pirates. ¡°First Mate Einstein, go and check on the other party¡¯s situation. When the other party reaches a range of 150 meters, immediately report to me!¡± ¡°Ou ou!¡± Einstein seemed to have realized the urgency of the situation. He quickly called out twice and flapped his wings to fly. Bick looked up and saw that Einstein was flying very high. It seemed that he understood that he was a scout to secretly observe the enemy¡¯s situation. After arranging Einstein¡¯s mission, Bick opened the manufacturing interface. Previously, he saw some defensive equipment in the manufacturing interface, but at first, he thought that he would not be able to use these things for the time being, so he did not manufacture them. Now, it seemed that he needed to manufacture them. [Principle] [Wooden defensive helmet: Wooden board (2/2), grass rope (0/2)] [Level: normal] [Explanation: Defensive helmet. Its defense is low, but it can protect your life in times of need.] [Wooden armor defense suit: Wooden board (6/6), metal piece (3/3), grass rope (0/4)] [Level: normal] [Explanation: Not Heavy. Its defense is average, but it¡¯s not convenient to wear. Bick took a quick glance at the description of the item and started making it. With the acceleration effect of the impatient gloves, the two pieces of equipment took only three minutes to complete. However, the helmet was still okay as it just clicked on the head and it was done, but this wooden armor defense suit was a waste of time to wear. While wearing the impatient gloves, Bick took a full two minutes to put it on properly. Looking up in the direction of the pirates, Bick was slightly relieved. It seemed that their speed was not as fast as he had imagined. Einstein flew back and forth in the air and had been monitoring the movements of the pirates. It seemed that he was very conscientious. The equipment on the mountain was ready. Bick took out a plastic jar and poured a few mouthfuls of sweet fresh water into his mouth. Before the battle, he had to replenish with fresh water. The enemy had many people and he didn¡¯t know how long the battle would last, so he had to try his best to maintain his best condition. After all this was done, Bick was left with one last thing. ¡°Make spears!¡± With a smile, Bick began to prepare the materials. Right now, he only had a few metal spears in his spear launcher. The enemy had at least thirty people, so these spears were definitely not enough. Fortunately, he had sufficient supplies and had prepared enough grass rope. Next, he had to make metal spears. In this way he would start shooting from a distance when the pirates entered the shooting range! Bick¡¯s hands were as fast as lightning. Even he himself could not see his movements clearly. He only knew that in a few seconds, a metal spear appeared on the ground. In less than three minutes, 30 metal spears had been completed. Just as he was about to place the metal spears into the two spear launchers, he suddenly heard a familiar system notification. Chapter 20 - War Wreckage Gift Pack Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio [Ding!] [The number of weapons you have produced has reached 50+. You have obtained the achievement of a weapons maker!] [Reward: One weapon lottery!] ¡°Huh? Lottery?¡± Bick blinked his eyes and suddenly laughed excitedly. This was too considerate. He was worried that his current weapons would not be able to defeat the pirate gang on the other side, but the system actually rewarded him with a weapon lottery. Bick was not in the mood to waste time, so he immediately chose to start the lottery. He thought that if he drew a gunpowder gun or a catapult, he would have a much easier time fighting with those pirates. Just as he was thinking about what reward he could get, the system reward was already sent to him. [Ding! The lottery is over, you have drawn the war wreckage gift pack!] ¡°What the hell is the war wrekage gift pack?¡± Bick opened the system reward in confusion. [War wrekage gift pack] [Level: unknown] Bick first saw that the level of war wrekage gift pack was unknown. The last time such a level appeared was when he obtained the treasure-seeking seagull¡ Looking at Einstein who was still patrolling the enemy in midair, Bick¡¯s heart was filled with anticipation. Looking at the explanation again, Bick almost laughed out loud! [Explanation: The war wrekage gift pack contains smoke bombs x5, grenades x3, torpedoes x1, and high-risk weapons. Please use them carefully to avoid accidental injury!] ¡°This is marvelous. Heavy firepower suppression!¡± The content of the reward was beyond Bick¡¯s imagination. Using these things to fight with the pirates on the opposite side was as if his part-time job was to use cannons to deal with primitive people! In his excitement, Bick took out the reward and started to check it out. [Smoke bomb] [Level: unknown] [Explanation: The smoke is very thick, it can block the vision. ] [Grenade] [Level: unknown] [Explanation: The explosion is very powerful, pull off the pull ring and throw it out, don¡¯t hold it in your hand! ] [Torpedo] [Level: unknown] [Explanation: A powerful ocean killer, but it does not have a launching device. Therefore, you need to use a pickaxe to activate the fuse, place it on the surface of the sea. Smash it, and it will rush out. When you use it, it is best to stay away from the target!] Seeing such an overbearing introduction, Bick could not wait to fire the torpedo out to take a look. However, there were too many pirates on the opposite side. Although these things were very good, they had to be used in a planned way. Otherwise, he might not be able to defeat them. While he was thinking, Bick suddenly heard Einstein¡¯s cry. ¡°OU ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!¡± Einstein¡¯s cry was very urgent. It seemed that the pirates had already entered the range of the spear launcher. Bick came behind the spear launcher and held the trigger with one hand. He shot directly at the two wooden rafts that were heading towards them. Whoosh! Whoosh! Two metal spears shot directly at the two rafts with two consecutive whistling sounds. One of the pirates on the raft was shot through the chest by the metal spear and fell into the sea. The other one¡¯s arm was grazed by the metal spear and was not fatal. However, the pirates obviously retreated after seeing Bick¡¯s powerful long-range weapon. Bick smiled smugly. He pulled the trigger with both hands and shot out four to five spears. When the pirates saw this, they quickly ran back. Originally, the situation had already turned around. However, the sound of drums suddenly came from the other side. Immediately, Bick saw more than 20 wooden rafts forming the vanguard. They did not retreat. Moreover, the pirates that appeared later were all wearing wooden armor defensive suit and wooden armor helmets. ¡°They¡¯re really rich!¡± During the early stages of survival, most players used basic materials to survive. Only these pirates would forge equipment wantonly. Bick shot out more than a dozen metal spears. However, when faced with the opponent¡¯s defensive equipment, the lethality of his metal spears greatly decreased. He shot out half of the spears, but only five or six pirates were killed. The remaining rafts saw that Bick¡¯s lethality was limited, so they rowed closer with even more effort. Moreover, there were people on the right who pulled up their bows and arrows. ¡°Oh my God!¡± Bick immediately shrank back, and three or four arrows flew past his head. What was worse was that when the opponent saw that Bick was afraid of shooting arrows, they actually gradually spread out and shot arrows at Bick¡¯s raft together. For a moment, Bick was almost unable to move. The entire raft was filled with falling arrows. Bick stole a glance and saw a bearded man on the opposite raft with a pirate flag. He actually picked up something that looked like a megaphone and shouted. ¡°Charge!¡± ¡°He can¡¯t withstand our rain of arrows!¡± ¡°As long as we take over his raft, we can take away the weapon that shoots the spear!¡± Bick gritted his teeth. ¡°D*mn it, looks like we have to use our silver bullet!¡± With a cold smile, Bick picked up the smoke bomb, pulled open the pull ring, and threw it out. Bang! A slight explosion sounded above the sea surface. The thick smoke blocked the sight of the pirates in just a dozen seconds. However, the range of the smoke was too small. If he wanted to block the sight of all the pirates, he had to use all the remaining smoke bombs. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Four consecutive sounds rang out. The sight in front of Bick, which was about 120 degrees, was completely blocked by the smoke. Taking advantage of the time, he rowed the raft and made a short detour towards the back of the island. In this way, almost all of the enemy¡¯s arrows missed. He could finally stand up and observe the situation. The voice of the pirate leader came from the loudspeaker on the opposite side again. ¡°Break through the smoke!¡± ¡°D*mn it, don¡¯t let him escape!¡± ¡°He¡¯s already scared, that¡¯s why he used this method to escape!¡± Hearing this voice, the speed of the pirates increased. Bick had not used the spear launcher during this period of time, instead, he had prepared three grenades. If he continued to use the spear launcher now, he would only reveal his position. Only by using the grenade to kill in one hit could he cause the most damage. After five to six minutes, the smoke gradually dispersed. The pirates in front had also rushed to about 50 meters. Bick aimed at three places where the rafts were concentrated and threw the three grenades. The group of pirates thought that Bick was throwing smoke grenades and continued to charge forward. However, under their crazy cheers, the grenades exploded! Bang! Bang! Bang! Three grenades exploded almost at the same time. In an instant, more than ten wooden rafts were blown up by the grenades. The huge waves surged and overturned a few wooden rafts that were further away. The pirates were extremely terrified. Those who were alive quickly climbed onto their own wooden rafts while the others turned around and ran at the same time. ¡°D*mn it, why does this guy have grenades?¡± On the loudspeaker, the pirate leader cursed angrily. He saw that Bick did not continue throwing grenades and roared. ¡°All of you, go back!¡± ¡°He doesn¡¯t have any other weapons!¡± ¡°Whoever takes over that raft first today, I¡¯ll reward that woman!¡± Hearing such encouragement, the remaining pirates on the remaining ten rafts finally launched a new offensive. This time they found that the opposite raft was unusually quiet. After taking a closer look, they found that Bick was studying something on the side of the raft. The closer they got, the stronger the momentum was. Suddenly, a pirate let out a terrified cry. ¡°That¡ That¡ That¡¯s a torpedo!¡± Chapter 21 - The torpedo exploded Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio The pirates saw the torpedo in Bick¡¯s hand clearly. They didn¡¯t dare to go any closer and retreated desperately. ¡°Why does this guy have a torpedo?¡± ¡°Cut the crap and run. I don¡¯t want to be blown into pieces!¡± ¡°It¡ It¡¯s fired¡¡± Bick aimed at the direction where the pirates were. He took out his universal tool hammer and turned it into a pickaxe. He smashed it at the fuse of the torpedo! Bang! After a muffled sound, the torpedo broke through the water and charged straight towards the pirate leader¡¯s wooden raft. The pirate leader was shocked. He could no longer care about commanding his subordinates. He picked up a wooden paddle and desperately paddled backwards. The fear on his face was self-evident, and even his full beard was trembling. But no matter how fast he was, he could not be faster than the torpedo! The sound of water splashing was getting closer and closer. The pirate leader nervously turned his head to look and cursed angrily. ¡°F*ck!¡± Almost at the same time, the torpedo hit his wooden raft. Boom! With a deafening sound, the torpedo exploded instantly. A huge wave rushed out of the sea, and the pirate leader and his wooden raft were directly blown into pieces. A few nearby wooden rafts were directly blown into pieces, too. The shock wave carried huge water was rushed out, flipping the remaining two or three wooden rafts on the sea surface. Bick smiled proudly. The pirates on the opposite side had been wiped out by him! ¡°Now, it¡¯s time to collect the spoils of war!¡± He called out to Einstein who was in the air, ¡°Einstein, help me collect supplies!¡± Einstein called out ¡°Ou ou¡± twice in the air and dived down. Like fishing, he approached the surface of the sea and suddenly grabbed with his claws. He picked up a piece of supplies and flew back. Bick was not idle. He paddled the wooden paddle in his hand and let the raft approach the water in front of him. He picked up the items close to the raft. There were wooden planks, hay, plastic sheets, and metal sheets. He had everything. In a short while, he had collected dozens of basic items, especially the wooden planks. There were simply too many of them! Bick had to create another storage box to store all kinds of items. That was because he also saw a few special items apart from these basic materials. The raft that the pirate leader was riding on had already become a few pieces. On one of the pieces, Bick saw a broken flagpole, and the flag was still hanging on the flagpole. He rowed the raft close to the pieces of the raft and directly used his hand to pull down the flag on the flagpole. [Pirate flag] [Level: excellent] [Explanation: You can flutter in the direction of players with abundant resources. As long as you head in the direction where the flag is fluttering, you will definitely meet them.] ¡°No wonder¡¡± Looking at the introduction, Bick felt an urge to curse in his heart. He should be the richest player in this game. The pirate flag must be fluttering in the direction where he was! It seemed that it was not a coincidence that he met these pirates. They were obviously following the direction of the flag and chasing him. As for the woman they robbed¡ it was just a side trip. At this moment, Bick finally thought of the woman who was tied up. He looked around in confusion and found that she was still alive. The pirates did not bring this woman with them because they were about to chase Bick. Instead, they left her behind. Thus, the huge wave of the torpedo explosion did not swallow her. At this moment, Shirley, who was tightly tied up, was trying her best to call for help. Finally, she realized that the man who had destroyed all the pirates was looking at her. She originally thought that he would come and save her as soon as he found out that she was still alive. However, she never expected that the man actually thought for a moment and continued to busy himself with retrieving the supplies. He never turned around to look at her again. ¡°D*mn it! Didn¡¯t you see me? Why didn¡¯t you come to save me? !¡± Shirley was going crazy in her heart, but it was completely useless. The man was still focused on collecting all kinds of supplies, but the good news was that he was getting closer and closer to her. In order to search for supplies on the sea surface, Bick rowed the boat to a distance of less than fifty meters from Shirley. Shirley shouted desperately, thinking that maybe he didn¡¯t see her because of his poor eyesight just now. Now that they were so close, he should be able to see her. This time her noise did work. The man opposite her heard the noise and turned to look at Shirley. ¡°Help me, untie me!¡± ¡°Oh, no problem. Wait a minute!¡± Bick gave a short answer and continued to focus on the search for supplies. Shirley¡¯s heart was broken. She didn¡¯t expect that the man in front of her was only focused on collecting supplies and didn¡¯t care about her safety. Wait! Shirley suddenly had a bad premonition, ¡°Is this guy also a pirate?¡± With this thought in her mind, Shirley suddenly became nervous. Her appearance could be considered outstanding. If he still didn¡¯t untie her, he wouldn¡¯t humiliate her after he finished his work, would he¡ Thinking of this, Shirley became more and more nervous. She didn¡¯t want to be humiliated. If that was the case, she might as well have been killed by the torpedo just now! ¡°Could it be that I¡¯m so unlucky that I was transferred from one gang of pirates to another pirate?¡± ¡°No! He killed more than 30 pirates by himself!¡± ¡°My God! Then isn¡¯t he even more ferocious and terrifying!¡± At this moment, Shirley didn¡¯t ask for help. She even tried her best not to make any sound. Even if she had to run her own course, it would still be a thousand times better than falling into this guy¡¯s hands! However, that man still came back after collecting all the supplies. Shirley stared at him nervously. Only when Bick boarded her raft did she ask timidly, ¡°You¡ What are you going to do?¡± Bick frowned. He could not understand what this woman was thinking, so he just untied Shirley¡¯s rope. Then, he smiled and said to her, ¡°Alright, you¡¯re free.¡± ¡°Huh?¡± Shirley was at a loss. She was confused and did not know what to do. Then, Bick returned to his raft and threw some wooden planks, hay, and plastic pieces onto Shirley¡¯s raft. Then, he prepared to row the raft away from here. He¡¯s not a pirate? Shirley was puzzled. She looked at the resources in front of her and suddenly felt a wave of frustration. This person was too stingy. He actually only left behind these few resources. Previously, although she wasn¡¯t considered wealthy among the players, she didn¡¯t have to worry about food and drink. Now, she had actually fallen to such a state. ¡°He actually didn¡¯t leave anything for me. He¡¯s not a gentleman at all. What¡¯s the difference between him and a pirate?!¡± Shirley stared at Bick angrily, as if she had forgotten the fear she felt when facing Bick. However, just as she was cursing Bick in her heart, she suddenly heard him calling out to her. ¡°Hey! Do you want to have a meal together before leaving?¡± She looked up and saw that Bick was not far away, waving at her. Chapter 22 - The Temptation of Delicious Food Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°No, I¡¯ll just make my own food!¡± Shirley rejected Bick¡¯s good intentions without hesitation. She had a bad impression of Bick now. She was such a beautiful woman, but Bick only cared about picking up supplies. Moreover, after saving her, he was still so stingy that he only left a little basic supplies. How could such a person treat her to good food? Shirley curled her lips and made a wooden paddle first, deciding to stay away from Bick. However, as soon as the paddle was made, she smelled a fragrance. Then, her stomach grumbled. ¡°I¡¯m so hungry¡¡± She struggled in her heart. After all, she had nothing now, and the feeling of hunger would last for a long time. Moreover, the smell of grilled fish coming from the opposite side was too strong. Shirley had made a small grill before, but the grilled fish that she grilled herself did not smell like this at all. ¡°Why is it so fragrant?¡± ¡°No! No, no, no, no, no!¡± ¡°I can¡¯t stand it anymore¡¡± Shirley struggled in pain. When she was hungry, the smell of food was simply irresistible. At this moment, Bick greeted Shirley again. ¡°Are you really not coming? Are you going to starve until tomorrow? I have plenty of food here!¡± ¡°I¡¡± Shirley hesitated for a moment. She couldn¡¯t bear the feeling of hunger and finally nodded. ¡°O¡ Okay!¡± Before she finished her words, Shirley had already started rowing towards Bick. She didn¡¯t realize that her body was actually so honest to the food. It did not matter if she did not get close to Bick¡¯s raft. When Shirley got closer to take a look, she was so shocked that her jaw almost dropped. ¡°He¡¯s actually so rich¡¡± She saw that at the front of Bick¡¯s raft, there were two huge weapons that looked like crossbows. They seemed to be able to shoot spears. She had just seen spears shot into the group of pirates. It seemed to be this thing. However, he actually built two of them. Did he have an endless supply of resources? Behind the two weapons was a water purifier, two barbecue grills, and a smelting furnace. With Shirley¡¯s wealth, she had only built an ordinary water purifier and a small barbecue grills. However, Bick had actually built so many things. This was not the most exaggerated part. When she looked back, Shirley actually saw a banana tree that was about to mature. Looking down from the banana tree, she saw three miniature farms¡ Not to mention that Shirley could not get seeds and soil, she even would not be able to gather enough basic materials if she needed to create three miniature farms. After bypassing the three miniature farms, she saw a relatively spacious space. There was a huge storage box and a small table. The small table had just been built by Bick. This time he had collected a large amount of resources from the pirates. Now that the materials were abundant, he wanted to improve the quality of life and build a dining table to use. However, in order to save space, he built a short wooden table. This kind of table could be used on the floor, so he did not need to make chairs. ¡°Sit.¡± Bick had Shirley sat down. He took out strawberries from the storage box and placed them in the middle of the short table as a side dish. He was not very generous, but the strawberries were not easy to store. If he did not eat them, they would go bad. At this time, the two grilled fish were ready. Bick placed them in the big wooden bowl in front of Einstein and Shirley. ¡°You two eat first.¡± ¡°Ou, ou! Ou, ou!¡± Einstein nodded excitedly, and Shirley was a little stunned. However, she really liked the seagull. Its fur was beautiful, and it looked especially smart. However, when the aroma of the grilled sea fish rushed towards her, Shirley could not care about anything else. No matter how beautiful and cute Einstein was, she could not resist the temptation of delicious food. The perfect grilled sea fish was delicious. Needless to say the strawberries, ever since she entered this apocalyptic world, Shirley had never seen them. After a while, Shirley seemed to have changed into a different person. ¡°This grilled fish¡ is really too delicious. Can I eat another one?¡± ¡°Strawberries! So sweet!¡± ¡°Can you leave the last strawberry for me¡¡± ¡°I¡¯ll eat the last fish, the last one!¡± ¡ Bick naturally would not be stingy with a few grilled sea fish. He just felt that Shirley had eaten until she was full, yet she still wanted to continue eating. At this moment, Shirley actually felt a little reluctant to leave. She burped as she enjoyed the last grilled sea fish. In her heart, she was wondering if Bick would consider letting her stay and live with him. It seemed that she had eaten too much to her heart¡¯s content. Her current thoughts were very simple. She just wanted to eat and drink by Bick¡¯s side. After all, her days had been too hard for the last few days! Not to mention the delicious food, even if she wanted to eat to her heart¡¯s content, it would be an extravagant wish. Most of the time, she could only rely on fresh water, which caused her to lose a lot of weight. However, Bick did not ask her to stay overnight on his raft. As for spending the night together on the endless sea, that was even more impossible. Shirley was a little disappointed, but she seemed to feel particularly lucky. She was glad that she did not entrust herself to a stranger for a meal. Before getting back to her raft, Shirley and Bick got to know each other¡¯s names and parted hastily. The two rafts, one on the left and the other on the right, slowly moved away. Bick was sitting on his raft, sorting out the large amount of materials he had harvested today. From time to time, he would look up and see Shirley looking at him again. After being attacked by pirates, rescued by Bick, and then ignored by Bick, Shirley was somewhat depressed. But now she somewhat understood Bick¡¯s approach. After all, it was the end of the world, and everyone was working hard to survive. If she were him, she would definitely collect all the materials that she could collect and desperately expand the raft to strengthen herself. Otherwise, when she was in danger, it would be extravagant to even protect herself. Bick¡¯s actions were definitely not heartless or selfish. Otherwise, he would not have saved her at all, much less left some resources for her. He even treated her to a delicious dinner. She swore that she would never forget the delicious grilled sea fish. Today, she ate four in one go, but it seemed that she had not eaten enough. When she thought of this, she could not help but burped again. Suddenly, she felt that her beauty temperament seemed to have been ruined in front of Bick¡¯s dining table. ¡°Is it because of this that he doesn¡¯t want me to stay¡¡± Realizing that she had lost her composure, Shirley suddenly felt a little annoyed. She looked at Bick¡¯s raft again, but it was too far away. She only saw a small black dot moving back and forth on the raft. She did not know what he was doing. Shirley laid down and looked at the rare bright moonlight, pouting. ¡°Humph! We will meet again sooner or later!¡± Chapter 23 - The Towering Mast Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio The sky gradually darkened, but Bick was still organizing his supplies. He had gained too much today. After stuffing a large amount of basic supplies into the storage box, there were still some special items scattered on the floor of the raft. [Signal drum] [Level: normal] [Explanation: In the vast sea, using a signal drum to transmit information is definitely a good method.] Bick frowned and stuffed the signal drum and the pirate flag into the storage box. These two items were of no use to him at the moment. ¡°Eh?¡± Suddenly, Bick¡¯s gaze was attracted by a cylindrical object. He picked it up and saw that it was a telescope. [Telescope] [Level: normal] [Explanation: You can see a relatively far distance, but it is not clear enough.] Bick picked up the telescope and looked into the distance. Other than the endless sea, he could see nothing. However, this thing was quite useful. If an island appeared in the distance, he would be able to find it immediately with the telescope. Bick put away the telescope and stuffed it into his wooden backpack. He had to carry this with him. Then, Bick saw something even rarer. It was an empty sheepskin scroll. It was a rare material, as rare as a coconut shell. He had no idea what this thing could make, so he opened the principle interface. The first principle that caught Bick¡¯s attention was the smart nautical map. [Smart nautical map: Wooden board (2/0), sheepskin scroll (1/1), charcoal (0/4), fresh water (1/1) , mana crystal powder (0/1)] [Level: high quality] [Explanation: This nautical map can automatically record all the places you¡¯ve been to. You¡¯ll always be in the center of the map!] This short explanation contained a lot of information. It could automatically record all the places he had been to. In other words, the map would be drawn automatically. In the future, when he needed to look at it at any time, he would be able to find the target as soon as he opened it. Moreover, the center of the map was where he was. It was extremely convenient to compare! Seeing such an introduction, Bick was extremely excited. With this treasure in his hands, wouldn¡¯t he be able to grasp all the resources in the nearby sea area clearly! However, the awkward problem was that his only mana crystal had already been used to make a material divination compass. Today¡¯s divination opportunity had been used up, and Bick estimated that there shouldn¡¯t be any mana crystals near the island. The only way now was to go to the trade interface and try his luck. However, what should he use to trade? Bick thought for a moment and decided to sell the fresh water, the remaining two kelp, and the signal drum. Although the pirate flag was useless to him, he did not want to give it to others, otherwise, the pirate riding on the flag would definitely find him if he followed the direction of the flag. Thinking of this, Bick was actually filled with hostility toward the flag. It seemed that this thing appeared to be aimed at him, but¡ it was now lying in his storage box! Bick smiled proudly and quickly hung up the items he had on the trade interface. [Trade] [Freshwater x4 trade mana crystal] [Freshwater x4 trade mana crystal] [Kelp x2 trade mana crystal] [Signal drum trade mana crystal] All four trades were hung up. The items traded were mana crystals, and Bick added the same remarks at the end of each trade message. [Private chat with mana crystals. The items traded can be discussed! ] After that, he temporarily closed the trading interface because mana crystals were too precious. Even if someone wanted to make a move, they would have to hesitate for a while. Bick closed the trading interface, but he was not idle either. He had so many basic materials that his warehouse was almost full. So, now he could consider improving his life. The first step was still to expand the raft. Bick prepared the wooden board and grass rope, opened the principle interface, and started to make the floor. With the speed of the impatient gloves, he laid a floor in almost a few seconds. In just a dozen minutes, his raft had grown more than two times, from the original size of 6¡Á9 to the current size of 8¡Á12. After doing all this, Bick felt that he was no longer standing on the raft, but more like he was standing on a big boat. The empty space was particularly spacious, big enough and no need to be expanded for a long time. Einstein saw that the raft had become so spacious, so he excitedly ran back and forth on the floor, and actually took a walk happily. Seeing Einstein¡¯s excited look, Bick actually had the urge to build a bird¡¯s nest for him. But¡ where should the bird¡¯s nest be built? Bick thought for a moment and subconsciously looked up. Suddenly, he had a good idea. ¡°Build a mast and build a watchtower on it. The watchtower can be used as Einstein¡¯s residence!¡± This idea was brilliant! With a mast, it would be more convenient to use the telescope. Letting Einstein live at a higher place would be more advantageous for him to monitor the surrounding environment. Moreover, the pirate flag was idle, so he might as well hang it on it. Although he was not a pirate, hanging it on the mast was still quite domineering. Bick found a place in the middle of the raft and decided to place the mast here. Then, he began to flip through the principle interface of the slate. [Principle] [Tall mast: Wooden board (5/5) , wooden stake (0/5) , iron nail (0/10) , grass rope (0/5)] [Level: normal] [Explanation: Basic facilities on the raft. Other items can be added to the mast, such as ladders, watchtowers, flagpoles, sails, etc¡. ] ¡°It¡¯s really troublesome to build this thing.¡± The tall and straight mast needed to be made of wood, iron nails made by metal sheets, and hay to make grass ropes, and the quantity needed was very large. It was only because Bick had sufficient resources now, or else it would be really difficult to build this mast. He quickly made the wooden piles, iron nails, and grass ropes and filled them into the schematic diagram. Then, one mast after another appeared in front of Bick. Each mast was about a meter tall, and with all five of them built, a five-meter tall mast was completed. When Einstein saw the towering mast, he flew up in excitement. He grabbed the top of the mast with one claw and let out an excited cry. ¡°Einstein, don¡¯t be anxious. Watch me build a watchtower for you!¡± Bick smiled and took out the god domain slate. He opened the interface and began to look for a ladder, watchtower, and flag. Chapter 24 - Large-scale Farm Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio Bick found all the necessary schematics in one go and planned to build them all in one go. [Watchtower: Wooden board (6/6), grass rope (0/4), nails (0/4), metal sheet (4/4)] [Flagpole: Wooden board (2/2), grass rope (0/2), metal sheet (1/1)] [Ladder: Wooden board (3/3), straw rope (0/1), nails (0/2)] The length of a ladder was one meter. In order to align with the height of the mast, Bick needed to build five ladders. In this way, he had to first build 11 straw ropes and 14 nails. Of course, this was a piece of cake for Bick. Soon, he made both straw ropes and nails. Then, a wooden ladder appeared on the mast. After the wooden ladder was installed one by one, Bick climbed to the height of the fourth ladder. He built a watchtower there. The watchtower was about one square meter in size. It was spacious enough and had a metal edge. It was hard and strong. In the last step, Bick made a one-meter-long flagpole and inserted it directly into the top of the mast. Then, he took out the pirate flag that he had stuffed into his backpack. A skull flag was hung on the top of the flagpole. As the sea breeze blew, the pirate flag fluttered. Bick didn¡¯t care which direction it was moving in. He didn¡¯t believe that there was anyone who was richer than him in this sea anyway. After finishing all this, Bick stood on the observation deck and greeted Einstein below. ¡°Do you want to come up and see your new home?¡± ¡°Ou ou ou!¡± Einstein let out a light cry and flapped his wings to fly up, landing directly on Bick¡¯s shoulder. Bick gently stroked Einstein¡¯s feathers and stood on the towering observation deck, blowing on the sea breeze. ¡°Einstein, you¡¯ll live here from now on. I¡¯ll spread some hay on the observation deck later.¡± Einstein nodded, his eyes filled with excitement. Seeing that he was so happy, Bick was relieved. At first, he was worried that Einstein did not like this place. Next, Bick laid a thick layer of hay on Einstein¡¯s new home and returned to the wooden raft floor. Now that Einstein had a comfortable bird¡¯s nest, he himself did not have to be too shabby. ¡°I need a large wooden bed, those with a double bed!¡± Bick had always felt that sleeping on a large bed was more comfortable. Hence, he directly found the manufacturing principles of a large wooden bed and a grass mat for two in the principle interface of the God¡¯s domain slate. [Large wooden bed for two: Wooden board (6/6), nails (0/2), metal sheet (2/2)] [Grass mat for two: Grass rope (0/20)] Bick looked at the materials and found that they did not consume much material, so he started to make them. After a while, a wooden double bed appeared at the middle and back of the raft. Then, in less than ten minutes, a layer of straw mat was placed on the double bed. He pressed it with his hand. Although the straw mat was not that soft, the effect was much better than he imagined. If he could weave cloth in the future, he would definitely make a soft spring mattress. As for now¡ he believed that he was lucky enough to be able to sleep in a double bed in this apocalypse. Bick busied himself for a while. By the time these things were all made, the sky had already turned from dark to bright. Without noticing, he actually busied himself all night and stayed up all night. Perhaps it was because the expansion of his new home made him too excited, so Bick did not feel tired at all and simply did not rest. He inspected the raft and watered the miniature farm. To his surprise, the first banana tree that was planted had already started to produce bananas. He clearly remembered that the miniature farm¡¯s growth cycle was seven days, and it would take half a month for it to mature. Based on this time, it was impossible for the banana tree to produce bananas. It seemed that the nourishing watering bottle was really effective. It actually allowed the banana to mature earlier, and it had already begun to produce bananas. Although the banana, which was not as thick as a finger, was still greenish, Bick believed that it would ripen in a few days. Looking at the strawberries and carrots that had been planted previously, their branches and leaves were already very luxuriant. However, because they were planted a little later than the banana tree saplings, they had yet to bear fruit. Although the planting speed was very fast, he still needed to build a few more miniature farms in order to keep the food supply going. Wait! Bick suddenly remembered that he seemed to have seen a large-scale farm in the stone tablet¡¯s interface. His raft was too small before, and he did not have enough supplies. Now that he had so many supplies, he might as well just build a large-scale farm. Bick checked the construction principles of the large-scale farm. It did not matter if he did not look at it. When he saw it, he almost laughed out loud in joy. [Large-scale farm: Wooden planks (6/6), iron nails (0/6), nourishing watering bottle (1/1), micro-scale farm (3/3)] [Level: high quality] [Explanation: The large-scale farm has six planting areas and it has an automatic watering function. As long as it is filled with fresh water, it can be automatically watered. There is no need to take care of it.] He did not expect that the construction materials of the large-scale farm were actually synthesized from three miniature farms, a watering bottle, and some ordinary materials. Wasn¡¯t this too convenient? He only needed to make six nails. Moreover, the large-scale farm could double the planting area, and at the same time, it had an automatic watering function. This was really too considerate! Bick immediately made six iron nails and began to make large-scale farms. After a while, the three miniature farms turned into a pile of soil, but the banana trees, strawberries, and carrots planted on them were not affected. Only their planting position had changed. After a while, a neat fence surrounded the soil. And in the middle of the fence, there was actually a water storage tank. Bick quickly took out the plastic jar and poured in the fresh water. The water storage tank was filled with fresh water, and the surrounding soil became wet at a speed visible to the naked eye. ¡°This thing is really useful!¡± Bick rubbed his hands in excitement. According to the consumption, he only needed to store water once every two or three days. He didn¡¯t need to care about the rest of the things. Previously, watering every day took up his brain capacity. He was afraid that he would forget to water and affect the growth of the plants. Now, he didn¡¯t need to worry. He just needed to check if there was water in the cistern once in a while. Moreover, since the large-scale farm had been built, he might as well go and get some seeds. He still had three plots of land to plant! Thinking of this, Bick took out the material divination compass from his backpack. He believed that there were probably some plant seeds on this island. Chapter 25 - Deviating from the Materials Direction Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio ¡°Divination compass, help me find seeds on the island!¡± As Bick stated his requirements, the needle on the material divination compass began to spin rapidly. Gradually, the needle stopped at a certain place. Bick headed in that direction and came to the island to explore. As expected, he found a seed in a piece of soil. [You have obtained wheat seed x2] ¡°Wheat seed?¡± Seeing this notification, Bick was very excited. Wheat was a food crop, and the food produced was better for satiating hunger. Moreover, after the wheat matured, it could be made into flour, so he could make his own toast. Bick had previously obtained a small oven schematic diagram. At that time, he did not have enough stones so he did not build it. Later on, he had enough stones, but he thought that there were no ingredients that could be cooked using an oven, so he temporarily shelved this plan. However, now that he had obtained the wheat seed and planted it on a large-scale farm, he could start building a small-scale oven. As long as he waited for the wheat to ripen and grind it into flour, he would be able to eat fragrant bread! Thinking of this, Bick quickly returned to the wooden raft. He first planted the wheat seed on a large-scale farm. Then, he opened the God¡¯s domain slate and looked up for the schematic diagram of the small-scale oven. [Small-scale oven: Metal sheet (5/5), stone brick (0/8), charcoal (0/2), wood (4/4)] [Level: normal] [Explanation: An oven that can cook pasta, toast, baguette, cake, cookies. As long as the ingredients are sufficient, you can make all kinds of food.] ¡°Toast, baguette, cake, cookies¡ So tempted just by thinking about it!¡± Bick shifted his gaze away from the introduction of the items and started to make stone bricks and charcoal. In a short while, eight stone bricks and two charcoals appeared at Bick¡¯s feet. Next, it was time to make a small oven. As Bick started to build, a stone brick base appeared next to the two grills. Next, the top of the oven was sealed, and at the top was a metal lid. Although the small oven looked simple, according to the introduction, it was very powerful. Almost any baked pasta could be made here. After finishing, Bick could not help but run to the large-scale farm to take a look. He did not expect that the wheat had sprouted in such a short time. According to the speed, he estimated that he would be able to get mature wheat in ten days. ¡°Great, the long-term food problem has been solved!¡± After staying up all night, his stomach began to growl though Bick was not tired. ¡°Einstein, do you want to eat something?¡± Bick called out to Einstein who was standing on the observation deck. ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou!¡± Einstein actually shook his head vigorously, which was rare. Bick frowned in confusion, thinking that this was not Einstein¡¯s personality. Could he have discovered something? Sensing the confusion in Bick¡¯s heart, Einstein nodded in a certain direction, as if telling Bick that he had found something in that direction. Bick glanced in that direction, but saw nothing except the bare sea surface. He simply climbed onto the mast and came to the observatory. Standing at a high place, he seemed to vaguely see something floating on the sea surface, but he couldn¡¯t see it clearly. Taking out the telescope, Bick looked again this time and suddenly understood. In the field of vision of the telescope, he could see everything floating on the sea surface. It was supplies. And in the midst of the scattered supplies, there were five lucky small wooden buckets. However, judging from the direction of the drifting, this wave of resources would not pass through his raft at all. ¡°No way¡ Could it be that the resources on the sea are not drifting in the direction of the players¡¯ raft?¡± Bick was glad that he had Einstein to help him observed the situation around him. If it had not discovered that wave of resources, he would not have gained anything today. After expanding the wooden raft and building so many things, he did not have much basic supplies left. Therefore, he had to think of a way to get close to that wave of supplies. Moreover, there were five lucky small wooden buckets! Bick looked at the wooden paddle in his hand and shook his head. According to the situation that he had just observed, using the wooden paddle to paddle the wooden raft to chase after that wave of supplies was probably not fast enough. He recalled that there were other paddles in God¡¯s domain¡¯s slate priniple interface that could paddle faster. Thinking of this, he hurriedly opened the principle interface in the stone tablet. [Principle] [Magic alloy paddle: Wooden board (2/2), metal sheet (4/4), iron nail (0/2), mana crystal (0/1)] [Level: high-quality] [Explanation: Faster paddle, saves energy, provides twice the original speed!] Seeing this explanation, Bick nodded in satisfaction, but the problem was that he did not have mana crystal! ¡°Oh right! Let¡¯s look at the trade interface.¡± Bick had hung four trades on the trade interface yesterday, all of them were trading for mana crystal. As long as one of the trades was successful, he could first create a magic alloy paddle. Thinking of this, Bick quickly switched to the trading interface. Fortunately, he had actually succeeded in one transaction! [You have succeeded in another transaction. You have obtained mana crystal x1!] ¡°Awesome!¡± Bick excitedly took out the mana crystal and filled it into the schematic diagram for creating a magic alloy paddle. He also made two iron nails, and the materials were finally gathered. In less than ten seconds, a shiny metal paddle appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. The wooden handle of the paddle was inlaid with the mana crystal. The overall weight was heavier than the wooden paddle, and the length was slightly longer. Bick did not have time to think. He went to the side of the raft and began to row the paddle. Logically speaking, his raft was too big. With the paddle, no matter how fast he was, it would still be difficult to increase the speed. However, he had an impatient glove, which could increase the speed. Moreover, he found that as long as he rowed the paddle, the mana crystal embedded in the paddle would emit a weak light. Then, he felt that the paddle was moving twice as fast as his speed. It was very magical. He had only used one portion of his strength, but he had received two times speed in return. The speed of the raft began to move toward the target at a speed he could not imagine. Bick rowed a few times and stopped using his telescope to observe the direction. He accelerated toward the expected intersection of the supplies and the raft. The speed of the raft became faster and faster. Gradually, at the front of the raft, the seawater that was pushed forward formed a white splash. ¡°Einstein, go ahead and guide me in the direction!¡± Bick was worried that there would still be errors in his direction, so he gave an order to Einstein. ¡°Ou ou ou!¡± Einstein nodded, flapped his wings, and flew toward the direction of the drifting materials, keeping himself in the middle of the materials and the raft. ¡°Good job, that¡¯s it!¡± Bick smiled slightly and used even more strength to charge toward the wave of materials. Chapter 26 - Low-speed Engine Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio As Bick¡¯s speed increased, the distance between him and the supplies on the sea also decreased. In less than 20 minutes, he had already begun to approach the drifting supplies. Bick began to slow down, but the speed of the raft was too fast, so he could not slow down immediately. Seeing that he was about to be loaded into this wave of supplies, Bick anxiously paddled in the opposite direction. But an unexpected thing happened! Probably because its speed was too fast, it actually knocked a small wooden barrel directly onto the floor of his raft. Gulp! The small wooden barrel rolled a few rounds on the raft and stopped when it hit the long spear launcher. ¡°It can still be like this?¡± Bick slightly raised his eyebrows and suddenly had a bold idea. He did not slow down anymore. Instead, he continued to accelerate towards the direction where the materials were densest. The raft broke through the seawater and rushed towards the direction where the materials were. Flapping! The acceleration caused a strong current. As the waves rolled, the materials were directly hit by Bick¡¯s raft. Pitter-patter¡ Wood, plastic bottles, and cans landed on Bick¡¯s raft one after another. In the blink of an eye, one-fifth of the materials had already landed on it. ¡°This method saves a lot of effort!¡± Bick smiled proudly and adjusted the direction of the raft. He raised his head and ordered Einstein, ¡°Einstein, help me retrieve the supplies that are further away!¡± Einstein let out a cry and dived down toward a supply that was further away. He was like an eagle hunting. His claws instantly grabbed a plastic bottle. Then, he flapped his wings and flew to the top of the raft. He then threw the plastic bottle down. At this time, Bick had already turned the raft around and started to paddle faster toward the area with denser materials. As the raft increased in speed, the front end of the raft churned. Then, almost all the materials that the raft hit landed on the raft. Another two lucky small wooden buckets were hit by Bick in this rough way. Then, using the same method, Bick aimed at the other two buckets and the materials gathered together. As the waves rolled, the raft once again made crackling sounds. Almost all the materials hit by Bick went onto the raft. During this time, Einstein had almost gathered all the materials that were further away. Only wood, which was heavier, was left. Bick threw the plastic hook to Einstein, and held the straw rope that was tied to the plastic hook tightly in his hand. ¡°Hook the rest of the materials, and we¡¯ll fish them up together!¡± Einstein held the plastic hook in his mouth and shouted excitedly a few times before starting to work. Pieces of wood were pulled onto the raft by Bick, and the last few plastic bottles were also picked up by Einstein one by one. After all the materials had been salvaged, Einstein stood excitedly on the five lucky small wooden barrels, as if he was looking forward to the good things that were inside of them. Bick smiled and said to Einstein, ¡°There¡¯s no rush. Let¡¯s tidy up the materials on the raft first.¡± Although the speed of salvaging the materials by collision were very fast, the materials were scattered everywhere. Bick collected them, broke them down, and put them into the storage box. Then he clapped his hands and came to the five lucky small wooden buckets. ¡°Now, you can open the buckets. As usual, open all five at once!¡± ¡°Ou ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!¡± Einstein nodded in agreement and jumped down from the small wooden barrels. Bick was very fast. With five consecutive sounds, the five lucky small wooden buckets were opened at almost the same time. In the next moment, a series of rich resources appeared in front of him. [You have opened five lucky small wooden buckets!] [You have obtained glass bottle x2!] [You have obtained wood x8!] [You have obtained can x6!] [You have obtained plastic bottle x3!] [You have obtained high-capacity jacket x1!] [You have obtained low-speed engine manufacturing schematics!] Bick did not focus on the basic materials at all. Instead, he focused on the two rare items that dropped out at the end. ¡°High-capacity jacket? This thing sounds a little strange¡¡± Bick checked the description of the item and finally understood why it was called a high-capacity jacket. [High-capacity jacket] [Level: high quality] [Explanation: It has an average thermal function, but it can indeed provide a certain degree of protection against the cold. Its biggest feature is that it has six pockets, which can be used as a storage space. It is a portable storage tool!] This is okay? Bick did not hesitate to put the jacket on his body. He found that the jacket indeed had six pockets, which was equivalent to a low-quality wooden backpack. Although the wooden backpack had nine compartments, it was not convenient to use, and it was heavier. Although this high-capacity jacket only had six storage compartments, it was much lighter to wear, and it also had a certain warmth effect. After wearing this jacket, he would not have to carry the backpack all the time. Thinking of this, Bick stuffed the universal tool hammer, telescope, and plastic cans into the high-capacity jacket. ¡°This is much easier!¡± Bick was very satisfied with this item because it was too practical! Next, he focused on the low-speed engine manufacturing schematics. It was obvious that this item was of extraordinary quality. After all, until now, all of Bick¡¯s work could only be done manually. If he had a low-speed engine, he might be able to achieve automatic functions. When that time came, wouldn¡¯t it be easier for him! [Low-speed engine] [Level: inferior] [Explanation: A barely usable engine. It¡¯s a sketch drawn by an unknown scientist after he drank too much. Although the quality isn¡¯t good, it won¡¯t explode!] Seeing such an introduction, Bick¡¯s eyebrows started to jump. This introduction sounded too unreliable. What if it really exploded¡ ¡°Forget it, let¡¯s see how to make it first!¡± Bick looked at the manufacturing principle. He expected the lack of materials. [Low-speed engine: Battery (0/2), metal wire (0/6), mechanical module (0/2), magnet (0/2), metal plate (4/4)] ¡°Battery, metal wire, mechanical module, magnet¡ There¡¯s only one kind of material¡¡± The corner of Bick¡¯s mouth twitched speechlessly. He decided to wait for a while before making such an advanced thing. At the very least, he had to gather all the materials first. He estimated that materials like mechanical modules and magnets were probably rarer than mana crystals. ¡°Hmm¡ Sign in first to ease my disappointment!¡± Bick shook his head and decided to sign in first to receive today¡¯s reward! Chapter 27 - Shirley Wanted to Eat Fish Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio [Ding! Daily check-in successful!] [Acquired water elemental affinity!] ¡°What the hell is water elemental affinity?¡± After checking in so many times, this was the first time Bick had seen such a reward. He quickly checked the level and introduction. [Water elemental affinity] [Level: unknown] [Explanation: With the blessing of the Sea God, you will be as free in the sea as on land!] After reading the short explanation, Bick was a little confused. This explanation was too general. Let¡¯s not worry about that for now. After working for so long, it was time to eat something! Bick knew that the water elemental affinity would definitely be of great use to him, but he was not in a hurry to discover it. His stomach was already hungry. It was better to eat something to replenish his physical strength first. ¡°Einstein, get ready to eat!¡± Bick called out and pulled up the fishing net. Taking a closer look, he realized that he had gained quite a lot today. [You have obtained sea fish x8, wood x2, kelp x2!] Looking at the gains from the fishing net, Bick smiled and began to cook delicacies. First, he processed the sea fish, then he began to grill them. While waiting for the dea fish to be ready, Bick opened the chat interface of God¡¯s domain¡¯s slate, he never thought that he would actually see the content regarding himself. [This is amazing. We were attacked by a powerful player. We formed an alliance with 20 to 30 people, but we were actually defeated by one person!] [20 to 30 people were defeated by one person?] [That¡¯s right. This guy is too terrifying. He actually still has smoke bombs and grenades. The most detestable thing is that he even has a freaking torpedo!] [ ¡ ] [No way? He has already developed to such an advanced level?] [Everyone, be careful. This player is too vicious. You definitely have to run as far as possible when you see him! ] Bick frowned. This player who brought up the topic was obviously a surviving pirate. He said that he was vicious, but he did not mention anything about them being pirates. Just as he was angry, a new message appeared. [Nonsense! You pirates were the ones who robbed first! You can¡¯t beat him, yet you say he is ruthless! ] [What? Pirates?] [You deserve it. More than 30 people of you were pirates and you robbed one person, yet you still have the nerve to say that?] [Who said I¡¯m a pirate? That player is the real pirate!] [I personally experienced this battle and was kidnapped by these 30 people, who were pirates. The player who defeated them is called Bick. He¡¯s a very nice person. If he didn¡¯t defeat the pirates, I would have drowned in the sea by now! ] [Pirates! D*mn it!] [Deserved to be killed by a torpedo!] [I was robbed by more than 30 pirates a few days ago. So it was you guys. Glad that revenge is done!] In an instant, the direction in the chat changed 180 degrees. Bick knew at a glance that the person who helped him cleared his name was Shirley! ¡°I didn¡¯t expect that she would actually stand up and speak up for me. But I didn¡¯t plan to be so famous¡¡± At this moment, there weren¡¯t many people who were discussing this matter. Instead, rows and rows of subtitles flooded the screen. [Revenge is avenged. Thank you, Mr. Bick!] [Revenge is avenged. Thank you, Mr. Bick!] [Revenge is avenged. Thank you, Mr. Bick!] ¡ Looking at it, there were quite a number of people who were attacked by the pirates. However, they shouldn¡¯t have all been robbed by the thirty or so pirates, right? With this thought in mind, Bick suddenly felt that he had become a thorn in the pirates¡¯ side. At this moment, a strong fragrance drifted into Bick¡¯s nose. The two fish on the grill were already ready. He was just about to put the grilled fish into the big wooden bowl when he suddenly saw Shirley sent him a private message. [Bick, do you still have the perfect grilled fish? I¡¯ll exchange it with you.] [Yes¡ It¡¯s just grilled.] Bick smiled slightly, thinking that Shirley did not forget the delicious grilled fish. They knew each other and were considered friends. Moreover, Shirley had just cleared his name in front of the pirates, which meant that she recognized him very much. Without thinking, Bick directly sent Shirley a trade message. [Delicious grilled sea fish trade board] Bick naturally did not lack food, but because he did not realize that the system had a gift function, he simply used the board as a trade. But unexpectedly, the other party did not accept the trade, but sent another trade message. [Corn seeds for delicious grilled sea fish] ¡°Corn seeds? She actually traded such an expensive item for a grilled sea fish!¡± This transaction was definitely worth it for Bick. However, he did not accept the deal either. Instead, he sent a message in the private chat interface. [Corn seeds are indeed very needed. However, using grilled sea fish to trade is too disadvantageous for you. Right now, I have plenty of food. Let¡¯s use two grilled sea fish and two roasted kelp to trade!] [Alright, since you put it that way, those were delicious food after all!] Shirley¡¯s answer seemed to be very reluctant, but in fact, she was in a very happy mood. She originally thought that she would be very happy if she could exchange for a delicious grilled sea fish to satisfy her cravings, but she did not expect Bick to be so generous and added so much food. After a moment, Bick¡¯s two kelps were also roasted. He opened the private chat interface again and sent the trade content to Shirley. [Delicious grilled fish x2, delicious roasted kelp x2, trade corn seeds] Instantly, the transaction was successful. [You have a successful transaction, obtaining corn seed x1!] ¡°Great!¡± Bick smiled and quickly took out the corn seed and planted them on his large-scale farm. Now, the six plots of land on the large-scale farm had been planted with things. They were just waiting for the harvest. Moreover, half of the large-scale farm¡¯s area was planted with food crops. When they fruit, he would no longer have to worry about food shortages. While the others were still thinking about how to fill their stomachs, he was already about to become a farmer! Bick smiled complacently and grilled two more sea fish. He thought in his heart that if he planned to form an alliance with other players in the future, then the first choice would be this woman named Shirley. To be able to casually take out a portion of corn seeds in exchange for a grilled fish meant that she was quite developed and was a capable player. In the future, not only would he need reliable manpower when he formed an alliance, but there would be no value in forming an alliance if the other party was not capable enough. Just as he was thinking about this, a message from Shirley appeared on the stone tablet¡¯s private chat interface. [As delicious as ever!] [The roasted seaweed is not bad either. It¡¯s much more delicious than I imagined! ] [I¡¯ll find you in the future to exchange for food!] Seeing the series of messages from Shirley, Bick smiled and sent a reply. [There will definitely be more delicious food next time!] [Oh? I¡¯m looking forward to it. If there¡¯s something delicious, I¡¯ll definitely buy it at a high price!] Chapter 28 - Big Octopus Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio There were six grilled sea fish left, and there were exactly three for each of them. After a full meal, Bick laid on the double bed and basked in the sun, satisfied. He planned to rest well first before continue working. However, after laying down for less than a minute, he vaguely felt that something was moving near his raft. A low noise came from below the raft. He could not tell what it was, but it annoyed Bick. At this moment, Einstein seemed to have noticed something and began to call out ¡°ou ou¡± uneasily. Bick opened his eyes and was no longer sleepy. However, he searched around his raft and did not find anything unusual. It was just that the faint sound seemed to be getting closer and closer. ¡°Strange, could it be under the raft?¡± While Bick was pondering in puzzlement, the raft suddenly shook, as if it had been hit by something. ¡°Sharks?¡± Previously, sharks attacked the raft from the water surface. However, it was hard to say as these sharks might have changed their attack methods. Realizing that he was in danger, Bick immediately took out a spear made of sharp shark teeth. ¡°Didn¡¯t I say that I have the water elemental affinity? I should have no problem fighting underwater!¡± Bick muttered to himself and directly jumped off the raft. In the surging seawater, Bick felt his body was abnormally free, as if he could move freely in the seawater like he was on land. Previously, he had already felt the effect of signing up had strengthen his physique. At that time, he could freely move underwater. However, this time was different from before. His movement speed was faster, and his movements were more agile. It seemed that his ability to hold his breath had also become much better. As he sank deeper into the sea, he finally saw the culprit who attacked his raft. It was a long and narrow brachial foot. The brachial foot was filled with neat suction cups. Looking down along the brachial foot, Bick saw a huge octopus that was more than two people tall! ¡°F*ck! So it¡¯s an octopus. People said that this thing is very smart. I¡¯m afraid it¡¯s not easy to deal with!¡± Soon, Bick figured out the octopus¡¯s plan. The reason it kept attacking the raft with its brachiopods was to attract his attention. In its opinion, creatures living above the water surface would find it difficult to defeat it underwater. Perhaps this big fellow had already used this method to eat some of the survivors who had jumped off the raft out of curiosity or anger, but he was different from them. His body, which had already been strengthened, now had the water elemental affinity. Below the water surface, his strength might be even stronger. At this moment, the big octopus shook its limbs and sank a distance further. Bick knew that it was showing weakness to lure him. ¡°It¡¯s nothing!¡± Bick did not care about what the octopus was planning next and directly swam down. After sinking five to six meters deep, the octopus did not show weakness like before and suddenly rushed up to the water surface. Its goal was not to escape to the surface of the water, but to block the path for Bick to leave the water surface. ¡°So you were waiting for me here!¡± Bick did not care at all. The eight huge limbs above his head had already closed in on him. However, Bick used a little strength and sank three to four meters. His speed was actually faster than an octopus. The octopus saw that it had missed and hurriedly chased after him. However, as soon as it got close, Bick suddenly waved the spiked spear and slashed at one of its limbs. The big octopus suddenly twitched, and a large part of its limb was already broken. However, this did not make the big octopus retreated. Instead, it launched an even more furious attack, and its momentum became even more aggresive. Bick sneered in his heart. He was not afraid of its ruthlessness, but he was afraid that it would escape. If such a big octopus was roasted and eaten, it would definitely taste very good! ¡°I will definitely eat you today!¡± Bick suddenly jumped and charged towards the big octopus mouth. This reaction was far beyond the octopus¡¯s expectations. It suddenly retracted its limbs and wanted to entangle Bick. However, Bic suddenly stabbed into its mouth, and the spiked spear directly stabbed into the big octopus mouth. In an instant, the body of the big octopus twitched. It finally realized that it had encountered a powerful prey. In order not to hurt its own head, it suddenly spat out a black ink. At the same time, it quickly shook its limbs, wanting to escape. ¡°You want to run?¡± Bick sneered. The moment the spiked spear twitched, it suddenly swept across. Half of the big octopus¡¯s remaining seven limbs were broken in an instant, and its speed suddenly decreased. Bick quickly caught up and stabbed again. This time, the big octopus brain was almost pierced by the spear. It trembled a few times stiffly and could no longer move. It could be considered dead. ¡°Perfect!¡± Bick twitched the spear and used his hand to grab the octopus limbs. He swam down and found the three severed limbs before slowly swimming to the side of the raft. Plop! The giant octopus body was thrown onto the raft. Then, Bick climbed up and began to process his spoils of war. [You have obtained octopus limbs x6!] [You have obtained octopus tooth x1!] [You have obtained octopus eye x2!] Bick had not expected that the octopus corpse would actually be able to disintegrate into the octopus tooth and octopus eye. He thought to himself, these two items could not be eaten. Could they be some sort of special material? He quickly headed to the God¡¯s domain slate. Bick wanted to find out if he had unlocked a new schematic diagram. When he opened the principle interface, a new schematic diagram appeared. [Octopus soul magic staff] [Level: high quality] [Explanation: A magic staff that can be used for a limited number of times. It can be used for a total of three times. It can summon the soul of an octopus and attack the target with powerful magic attacks. However, it will consume the user¡¯s mental strength!] ¡°It will consume mental strength¡ but if it is powerful, it will be worth it!¡± Bick quickly checked the manufacturing principle of this thing. [Octopus soul magic staff: Mana crystal (0/3), wooden board (2/2), octopus tooth (1/1), octopus eye (2/2), blood drop (0/3)] Looking at the materials needed to make the octopus soul magic staff, the corner of Bick¡¯s mouth twitched. Three mana crystals¡ He didn¡¯t even have a single mana crystal now, how could he make it. And what was a blood drop? Could it be three drops of his own blood? This was still acceptable. After all, it was only three drops of blood, so it wasn¡¯t a big problem. ¡°Looks like I have to think of a way to get a large number of mana crystals. In the future, the demand for this thing will probably be greater and greater.¡± Thinking of this, Bick felt a little depressed. Even if he used the material divination compass to search for mana crystals, it would take him at least three days to gather them. It seemed that he had to think of other ways. It was necessary to raise the price and continue to buy in the trading interface. As long as the price was high enough, he believed that he would be able to exchange for some mana crystals. In that case¡ he would first roast the octopus ball set and hang it on the trading interface! Bick¡¯s gaze fell on the huge octopus limbs¡ Chapter 29 - Mark of the Shipwreck Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio After spending some time, Bick roasted all the octopus limbs. After that, he opened the trading interface in the God¡¯s domain slate and hung the octopus limbs on it. [Delicious roasted octopus claw x2 trade mana crystal ] [Remark: Portion for two days. Moreover, the taste is delicious. This is a golden opportunity!] Bick directly put up two trading for such deal. He only left two delicious roasted octopus claws for tomorrow. Just as he was about to close the trade interface, he suddenly received a trade notification. [You have a successful transaction. You have obtained mana crystal x1!] [You have a successful transaction. You have obtained mana crystal x1!] ¡°The transaction was completed so quickly!¡± Bick was excited. After checking carefully, he found that there were two transactions. One was the signal drum that had been hung up earlier and the delicious roasted octopus claw that had been hung up today. Although the roasted kelp and fresh water were still there, Bick estimated that it would not be easy to trade mana crystals for these things. He might as well cancel the other two transactions and package them into one transaction. [Metal sheet x6, fresh water x4, kelp x2 trade mana crystal] In this transaction, Bick also added six metal sheets. He believed that if the other party¡¯s development was not good, using these items to trade for mana crystals would definitely not be a loss! However, he could only wait. Currently, he only had two mana crystals in his hands. If he wanted to create an octopus soul magic staff, he definitely did not have enough mana crystals. However, if he wanted to create a smart nautical map, the number of mana crystals would be just right. Thinking of this, Bick opened the principle interface of God¡¯s domain slate. [Smart nautical map: Wooden board (2/2), sheepskin scroll (1/1), charcoal (0/4), fresh water (1/1), mana crystal powder (0/1)] If he wanted to create this map, he first needed to create the mana crystal powder. However, the principle interface considerately displayed the manufacturing principle of the mana crystal powder. [Mana crystal powder: Mana crystal (2/2)] Bick glanced at it and immediately filled the two mana crystals in his hand. He chose to create them. After a moment, a handful of purple powder that was emitting a faint luster appeared in his hand. Next, he created four charcoals and gathered the materials. ¡°Then, create a smart nautical map!¡± As his voice fell, his hands, which were wearing impatient gloves, began to work quickly. In less than ten seconds, a sheepskin scroll appeared in his hand. As the mana crystal powder was sprinkled on it, the map actually began to emit a faint purple light, as if it was a precious holy item. Bick opened the nautical map and found a small black arrow in the middle of the map. It seemed to be where he was, and the direction of the arrow should be the direction he was going. The entire map was originally black, but as his raft moved, the area around the arrow became blue. As he moved, the blue area became larger and larger, forming a slow-moving trajectory. Bick felt that if he happened to pass by a small island, the map would mark the land. Right now, as far as the eye could see, it was a vast sea. There was nothing on the map that could be used as a marker. Although this thing was not useful for the time being, it would definitely be very useful in the future. If he had a smart nautical map previously, he could go back according to the mark on the map and harvest the newly grown resources again after collecting the resources on the island for a month. By the time he was done with all this, it was already close to dusk. Bick stuffed the nautical map into his pocket and prepared to have a good night rest. After working all night yesterday, he was indeed very tired after the excitement. Einstein seemed to be tired, too. He landed early in the bird¡¯s nest covered with hay in the observation deck and fell into a deep sleep. Bick stretched himself and returned to his luxurious wooden bed. He soon fell asleep¡ The next morning, Bick woke up very early. Probably because he had rested well, he thought of signing in the moment he woke up. [Ding! Daily sign-in successful!] [Received the mark of a shipwreck!] ¡°The mark of a shipwreck?¡± Bick was slightly stunned and quickly looked at the specific introduction of the sign-in reward. [The mark of the shipwreck] [Level: unknown] [Explanation: The location of the shipwreck, any situation may be encountered.] This short explanation made Bick a little confused. Moreover, in what way was this reward sent to him? Bick did not get anything from his hands. Where was this mark of the shipwreck? While he was puzzled, Bick suddenly recalled the nautical map that he had just created yesterday and quickly opened the sheepskin scroll. Bick took a closer look and suddenly realized that this reward could only be given out based on the map. He was secretly glad that he had created the nautical map yesterday. Otherwise, he would not have been able to receive today¡¯s sign-in reward! On the smart nautical map, somewhere to the left of the black arrowhead, there was a small green light spot that was shining in the black area that was being explored. ¡°Looks like this is the place!¡± Bick smiled and picked up his magic alloy paddle. He adjusted the direction and paddled towards the green light dot. The speed of the raft was getting faster and faster. It was moving on the map at a speed visible to the naked eye. As his speed increased, the arrowhead also became longer. ¡°The design is not bad. The arrowhead can also represent the speed of the journey!¡± Bick felt that the map was worth it. It could mark the location and indicate the direction. It even had the function of a speedometer! After adjusting the direction a few times, he was getting closer and closer to the location of the shipwreck. However, from the surface of the sea, he could only see the vast sea. Only by comparing the location of the green dot on the map could he determine the location of the shipwreck. Bick began to slow down because the map showed that the locations of the raft and the shipwreck had almost overlapped. At this moment, Einstein, who had been looking around curiously, suddenly let out a cautious cry. ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± ¡°What¡¯s wrong, Einstein?¡± Bick looked at Einstein in confusion and found that he seemed to be at a loss too. He only felt that there was a strange atmosphere here. Frowning, Bick thought to himself, ¡°Could it be that there is still some danger at the location of the shipwreck?¡± He suddenly remembered that the mark of the shipwreck had a very general explanation. [Explanation: The location of the shipwreck may encounter any situation.] ¡°In other words, coming here may not only have benefits, but there may also be unknown dangers?¡± Chapter 30 - Hidden Treasure Chest Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio In order to ensure his own safety, Bick did not immediately explore what were below the sea surface after he stopped the raft. There was no land around here, so the ship should have sunk at the bottom of the sea. If he recklessly went down, he might really encounter unknown risks. Moreover, if he was in the shallow sea, he could still see some light. If he did not prepare a lighting tool in the deep sea, he would be like a blind man. If he could not see anything, it would be meaningless even if he touched the shipwreck. He had to create a lighting tool that could be used underwater. Thinking of this, Bick opened the God¡¯s domain slate and searched for a lighting device that could be made. Soon, he found a few options. [Pumpkin lamp: Pumpkin (0/1), charcoal (0/1), metal plate (2/2)] [Lantern: Charcoal (0/1), metal plate (3/3), glass plate (3/3), wood plate (1/1)] [Inextinguishable lantern: Mana crystal (0/1), metal plate (3/3), glass plate (3/3), wood plate (1/1)] Bick was a little depressed¡ The pumpkin lamp and lantern obviously could not be used under the sea.The only option would be inextinguishable lantern that could be used under the sea. But it was the same problem, he did not have enough mana crystals! Helplessly, Bick could only check the trade interface to see if there was any transaction. [Trade] [You have a successful transaction. You have obtained mana crystal x1!] ¡°Great! You came just in time!¡± Seeing the notification, Bick was so excited that he almost laughed out loud. He quickly opened the interface and began to create the inextinguishable lantern. In less than ten seconds, a small lantern with a wooden handle appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. The core of the lantern was a mana crystal that emitted purple light, and the outside was a glass cover with a metal edge. The light was bright enough to see things that were five to six meters below the sea surface. However, such a distance was enough. As long as one touched the shipwreck at the bottom of the sea, not much light would be needed. It was just a supporting role. Next, he had to make the final preparations for diving. Bick opened the plastic jar and drank a few mouthfuls of water. He carried the wooden backpack on his back. He held the inextinguishable lantern in one hand and the spiked spear in the other. ¡°Einstein, guard our raft well. I¡¯m going down to look for the treasure!¡± ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!¡± Einstein nodded, but there was clearly some worry in his voice. Bick waved the spear in his hand and smiled, ¡°Don¡¯t worry, wait for me to come back!¡± After saying that, Bick plunged into the sea. With the water elemental affinity, Bick could move freely in the sea. Even though he was holding something in both hands, he did not feel uncomfortable at all. As he continued diving, the light in the sea became dimmer and dimmer. At first, he could still see the raft above his head, but gradually, he could only see a light blue on the top of his head. Then, the color changed to deep blue, a deeper blue, and it was even an endless darkness. The only source of light was the purple light emitted by the inextinguishable lantern. However, wherever the light reached, he couldn¡¯t see anything except the sea. Bick could only rely on his senses to continue diving. After a while, he finally saw a blurry black figure below. Under the purple light, the black figure gradually showed its original appearance. It was a large ship that had been broken into two parts. The metal shell had lost its luster due to the corrosion of the seawater. Could it be that some undersea creatures could be seen swimming in the crevices of the ship. Bick gradually approached. His feet landed on the broken deck, and he felt a faint sense of unease in his heart. It seemed that from the moment he approached this area of the sea, something had been spying on him in the dark. The closer he got to the shipwreck, the more obvious this feeling became. ¡°What is it?¡± ¡°Could it be the souls of those who lost their lives in the shipwreck?¡± ¡°If that¡¯s the case, it¡¯ll be more troublesome¡¡± Bick could kill sharks and octopuses, but he had no experience dealing with spirits. However, he seemed to have seen some magic weapons on the interface of the God¡¯s domain slate. For example, the octopus soul magic staff that could not be made due to the lack of mana crystals. There were also some other weapons that had magical effects. ¡®It seems that it won¡¯t be easy to obtain the materials on the shipwreck¡¡¯ Bick thought in peace. However, he was unwilling to return empty-handed. Hence, he began to explore the interior of the shipwreck along the broken deck. With the faint light of the lantern, Bick walked deep along the passage in the cabin. When he encountered a damaged cabin, Bick would go in to take a look at the things inside. However, other than some corroded materials, he found almost nothing. After searching more than a dozen rooms, he only found some rusted metal fragments that could be picked up. [Rusted metal fragments] [Explanation: Materials that can be used to refine metals. They are equivalent to metal ores.] Although rusted metal fragments weren¡¯t invaluable materials, they were extremely rare. Therefore, when Bick saw them, he would put them into his wooden backpack. In less than twenty minutes, he had filled a space in his backpack. ¡°Although this thing isn¡¯t very valuable, it can still refine metals!¡± Bick laughed self-deprecatingly and continued to walk deeper into the cabin. The cabin in front was obviously less damaged. Bick even saw a sealed metal box in one of the cabins. ¡°Hehe, there must be something rare in here!¡± The surface of the metal box had been corroded by seawater, but the seal was still intact. Bick tried to open it with his hands, but found that the box was locked. ¡°Looks like I¡¯ll have to use the universal tool hammer!¡± Bick did not stand on ceremony. He took out the universal tool hammer and smashed it down. There was no other reason. He had to open this thing sooner or later. If he could not open it with his hands here, then he would not open it even if he went up. Thus, it was better to break it down now. Bang! As the lock was broken by Bick, the metal box bounced up, and Bick saw everything inside in an instant. [You have opened the hidden treasure chest!] [You have obtained rum x1!] [You have obtained compressed biscuit x2!] [You have obtained mana crystal x1!] [You have obtained treasure map x1!] ¡°F*ck!¡± ¡°There are so many things!¡± ¡°Rum? Compressed biscuit? Mana crystal? This is too fantastic!¡± Bick was excited. After all, he had never seen something like rum ever since he entered this game. As for the compressed biscuits, they were a necessary survival item for the apocalypse. One compressed biscuit was equivalent to a day¡¯s worth of rations! ¡°There must be other hidden treasure chests here. I must search carefully!¡± Bick put all these things into his backpack and looked at the treasure map in particular, but he did not have any leads. He suddenly raised his head and came to another cabin. At the door of this cabin, Bick saw two or three skeletons with only bones left¡ Chapter 31 Bick opened the rusty cabin door, walked around the three rotting skeletons, and saw a rusty metal box. ¡°Looks like I gained quite a lot!¡± Taking out the universal tool hammer, Bick smashed it with all his strength. With a bang, the lock on the metal box was broken by Bick. He was about to check what he had obtained when he suddenly felt a black shadow flashed past him. ¡°Huh?¡± Bick turned his head abruptly, but he saw nothing. There were only three twisted and rotten skeletons beside him, staring in the direction of Bick with empty eyes. ¡°This place can¡¯t be haunted, right¡¡± Bick had some doubts in his heart, and he could not help but move much faster. He immediately opened the metal box, and notifications appeared one after another. [You have opened the hidden treasure chest!] [You have obtained compressed biscuit x1!] [You have obtained mana crystal x1!] [You have obtained lightning rod schematics!] ¡°Lightning rod schematics? This thing is useful!¡± Bick first stuffed the items he had obtained into his wooden backpack and was about to leave the room. But just as he turned around to leave, he suddenly saw the skeleton behind him moved. ¡°F*ck! Are they really haunted?¡± Bick immediately took out his spiked spear and instinctively blocked it. Bang! The three skeletons were really alive. One of the skeletons rushed towards Bick but was blocked by the spiked spear and could not get close. The space here was narrow and it was in a complicated cabin. Bick did not want to fight with these monsters in the cabin, so he swam directly to the exit of the sunken ship. The three skeletons followed closely behind Bick, and they were not slower than him at all. ¡°These guys are faster than fish!¡± Bick cursed in his heart. Should he turn back to fight with the skeletons behind him? However, he found that the three skeletons could not be hurt by the sharp spears. The spear only left a shallow mark on the rotten bones. It could not stop them from chasing after him, and it could not even slow them down. ¡°It seems that only magic weapons can hurt them. The physical attack of the spear has no effect at all!¡± After thinking this through, Bick stopped fighting and swam directly to the surface of the sea. With his water elemental affinity, his speed was faster than the fish in the sea. However, when he pushed it to the limit, he could barely keep a distance from the skeletons. The only way now was to swim to the raft in one breath. On the calm sea surface, Einstein anxiously stared at the surface of the water around the raft and nervously cried out. Gradually, its uneasiness became more and more obvious. It was only when Bick¡¯s figure suddenly rushed out of the water surface that Einstein relaxed slightly. Thump! Bick directly threw himself onto the raft because he did not have time to slow down. When he had just approached the raft, the three skeletons were only less than three meters away from him. If he slowed down a little, he might be dragged back into the sea by the three monsters. ¡°How f*cking exciting!¡± Bick got up and panted heavily while dragging his wet body. Einstein landed beside Bick, but he paced back and forth uneasily, as if he was afraid of something nearby. ¡°They didn¡¯t leave?¡± Bick knew that what Einstein felt was those skeleton monsters. ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± Einstein shouted nervously, telling Bick that those monsters really didn¡¯t leave. Bick spat, ¡°These monsters are persistent!¡± He opened his wooden backpack, counted the materials he had just obtained, and put them into his storage box. During this time, Einstein had been very nervous. Bick thought that these monsters could not come out of the water, or they could not come out of the water during the day. Before the sky got dark, he wanted to create a magic weapon as soon as possible. Opening the God¡¯s domain slate, Bick began to search for all kinds of magic weapons. [Magic spiked spear: Spiked spear (1/1), mana crystal (2/2), blood drop (0/3), metal plate (3/3)] [Spirit slayer dagger: Dagger (0/1), mana crystal (3/3), demon¡¯s remnant (0/1)] [Holy shield: Wooden shield (0/1), mana crystal (2/2), blood drop (0/3)] ¡ Bick took a closer look. Although the spirit slayer dagger was the most powerful, it was a melee weapon. It would be easy to get injured in battle, and it did not have enough materials at the moment. As for the holy shield, it was a defensive equipment. Bick did not consider making it for the time being. Now, the easiest thing to make was the magic spiked spear! He added the two mana crystals he had just obtained into the manufacturing schematic, and he sacrificed three drops of blood. After more than ten seconds, a brand new magic spiked spear appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. The spear was heavier than before, and it had a metal edge. On the spike of the spear, there was also a purple mana crystal embedded. [Magic spiked spear] [Level: normal] [Explanation: It can kill spirit bodies. Its power is weak, but it is very practical. As a magic weapon, it will consume the user¡¯s spiritual energy less.] Seeing such an introduction, Bick nodded in satisfaction. Magic weapons would consume one¡¯s spiritual energy when used. If one created a weapon that consumed too much spiritual energy, it might not be a good thing. On the contrary, it was a weapon that consumed less spiritual power that allowed him to continue fighting. After all, no one knew how many skeleton monsters were still in the shipwreck! With the magic spiked spear in my hand, Bick looked at Einstein and smiled, ¡°Don¡¯t be afraid. I¡¯ll go and get rid of them all in a moment!¡± Einstein responded with a few shouts. Although he was still a little worried, he appeared to trust Bick very much. Perhaps it was because he had consumed too much energy during the dive, Bick felt that his stomach was very hungry. He looked at the sky. In another two to three hours, it would be dark. He did not have time to cook the grilled fish. He had to explore all the resources in the shipwreck before dark. Thinking of this, Bick took out a compressed biscuit from the wooden box. [Compressed biscuit] [Level: high] [Explanation: It¡¯s not very nutritious, but if you eat one, you won¡¯t be hungry for three days. And it¡¯s very small!] Bick smiled and opened the package of the compressed biscuit. He drank the fresh water in the plastic jar and started to chew. Surprisingly, the taste of this thing was actually not bad. It had a faint orange smell. Soon, Bick ate the compressed biscuit and felt that he was much more energetic. He put on the wooden backpack again. One of his hand held the inextinguishable lantern, and the other held the magic spiked spear. He said to Einstein, ¡°Einstein, wait for my return!¡± ¡°Ou! Ou! Ou!¡± Chapter 32 Bick plunged into the sea. The three skeleton monsters saw Bick coming down again and rushed over. But this time, Bick did not escape. Instead, he waved his magic spiked spear and swept towards the skeleton monsters at the front. Bang! The magic spiked spear hit the skeleton monster¡¯s body and instantly shattered the rotten bones. In an instant, the skeleton monster seemed to have lost its vitality and turned into pieces of bones. It sank into the sea. At the same time, a black energy element appeared in front of Bick. Bick grabbed it with his hand in confusion and suddenly received a notification. [You have killed the skeleton monster and obtained the demon¡¯s remnant x1!] ¡°So the demon¡¯s remnant was obtained after defeating the monster!¡± In an instant, Bick¡¯s interest was piqued. He only wanted to get rid of these guys who were blocking his way at the beginning, but now his mentality was different. The two monsters in front of him were like resources to him! Before the two skeleton monsters could attack, Bick had already rushed over. Bang! Boom! After two loud bangs, the two skeleton monsters that were baring their fangs and brandishing their claws had become useless bone fragments and two demon¡¯s remnants. [You have killed two skeleton monsters and obtained the demon¡¯s remnant x2!] ¡°Beautiful!¡± With this magic spiked spear, it was a piece of cake for Bick to kill the skeleton monsters. He stuffed those three demon¡¯s remnants into his wooden backpack and continued to swim in the direction of the sunken ship. After a while, he arrived at the entrance of the cabin that he had escaped from earlier. At this moment, the previous room was empty. Other than a few decorative metal fragments, he could not find anything else. However, the sunken ship was big enough. There were still many cabins that he had not explored yet. Bick searched the cabins one by one for supplies. Occasionally, he would encounter two or three skeleton monsters, but they were all easily killed by him and turned into the demon¡¯s remnants in his backpack. However, along the way, other than some rusty metal pieces, he found almost no other materials. He did not see a single metal box. As he gradually went deeper, he finally came to a place that was similar to a staircase. He followed this path and went down, arriving in front of a huge cabin door. ¡°Eh? This place is actually intact!¡± Bick discovered that this huge cabin had a sturdy metal door. Although this place was heavily rusted, the interior did not seem to be damaged at all. Not even a drop of seawater flowed into it. It was obvious that this cabin stored some very important materials. Bick took out the universal tool hammer and tried to violently destroy the cabin door. However, after a few attempts, he found that it was too sturdy. If he wanted to open this place, he had to get the key. ¡°Where could the key be? The captain¡¯s room?¡± Bick frowned and decided to search for the captain¡¯s room along the passage where the ship sank. He wanted to see if he could find the key. However, after going around and around, he actually arrived at the engine room of the shipwreck. On the rusty equipment, there were fish come and gone from time to time. Bick searched carefully and collected a few pieces of rusty metal fragments now and then. But when he came to the heavy equipment in the engine room, he suddenly picked up another thing. [You obtained the mechanical module x1!] ¡°Mechanical module? So the mechanical module was collected here!¡± Bick suddenly became excited. Previously, when he wanted to build low-speed engine, the thing he lacked the most was this mechanical module. At that time, he was still depressed and didn¡¯t know where to find this kind of material. He didn¡¯t expect to find it in the shipwreck¡¯s engine room today. ¡°There must be many more here!¡± Bick began to search more carefully and found that there were many mechanical modules scattered around the equipment in the engine room. In less than ten minutes, he found four. ¡°Wait!¡± Bick suddenly had a strange thought. ¡°Can the mechanical module be mined with a pickaxe?¡± Of course, this was just a wild guess of Bick. However, he did not hesitate to take out the universal tool hammer and transform it into a pickaxe. Then, he fiercely smashed it towards the rusty equipment. Bang bang bang bang bang¡ Boom! After smashing it for more than ten times, the rusty equipment suddenly exploded into a pile of fragments. [You have obtained modified metal fragment x2, mechanical module x1!] ¡°Oh my God, it can really be mined like this!¡± Bick looked at the piles of equipment in the machine room and felt that he was going to be rich! He smashed hard with his pickaxe and continued to mine. In less than half an hour, he had accumulated 18 mechanical modules in his wooden backpack. Even if he could not use these mechanical modules for the time being, he could still trade them for other important materials. One had to know that these things were much more valuable than ordinary food. With mechanical modules, the things that were produced could operate automatically. For example, low-speed engines. In order to salvage more materials, all players had to add mechanical power to their rafts. In this way, the value of the mechanical module would be unimaginable! After looting all the materials here, Bick continued to move towards the other cabins. On the way, he searched very carefully, but there was still no new harvest. However, he had to leave the shipwreck for a while because he was already feeling a little suffocated. Signing in could strengthen Bick¡¯s physique. The water elemental affinity could greatly prolong the time he had to hold his breath underwater. However, he still had to go up and take a breath after an hour or so. Otherwise, he would feel slightly dizzy. Helplessly, Bick had no choice but to exit through a nearby opening and float to the sea surface. At this moment, the sky was already gradually darken. If he continued to search, the next time he came out of the water would most likely be at night. ¡°I¡¯ll rest for a while first. I¡¯ll continue to salvage tomorrow. Coincidentally, I want to see if there¡¯s anything like an oxygen tank on God¡¯s domain slate that I can create.¡± Before this, Bick had never considered creating an oxygen tank. This was because even if he did not breathe, he could still work underwater for more than an hour. However, searching for supplies in the shipwreck took too long. If he did not have an oxygen tank, he would always need to come up for air. It was truly inconvenient. While he was thinking, Bick had already climbed onto the wooden raft. He placed the materials he had received into the storage box and directly opened the God¡¯s domain slate. Very quickly, he found the manufacturing principle of the oxygen tank. [Oxygen tank: Metal sheet (6/6), plastic sheet (4/4), mechanical module (1/1), grass rope (0/4)] [Level: normal] [Explanation: It can provide a small amount of oxygen. It is a necessary equipment for working underwater, but it has a small storage capacity.] After reading the introduction, Bick smiled slightly. Although the storage capacity of this oxygen tank was very small, it was enough for him. Other people could only use this thing for about ten minutes, but he could use it to stay underwater for ten hours. With these time, he would have already plundered all the materials in the shipwreck! Chapter 33 Early in the morning, Bick was awakened by Einstein. He yawned, got up and said to Einstein, ¡°I¡¯ll go and salvage the materials in the shipwreck first. I¡¯ll make you something to eat when I come back!¡± Einstein called out ¡°ou ou¡± a few times to show his agreement. Bick smiled slightly, then he took his wooden backpack and the oxygen tank that he made last night and prepared to go into the water. But he was stunned for a moment before he suddenly thought of something. ¡°That¡¯s right. Sign in first. Maybe the reward will be useful in the sea!¡± Thinking of this, Bick opened the system¡¯s sign-in interface. [Ding! Daily sign-in successful!] [Obtained a bulky miner¡¯s lamp schematic diagram!] ¡°Miner¡¯s lamp!¡± Bick smiled. This really meant that he could get whatever he wanted. Although the inextinguishable lantern could be used underwater, it occupied one hand at all times, so it was very inconvenient. Moreover, the lantern¡¯s light was scattered and it was without the ability to focus light. The miner¡¯s lamp was different. It did not occupy one¡¯s hand when worn on one¡¯s head. Moreover, it had the ability to focus light, so the light could shine far away. As he speculated in his heart, Bick accepted the reward and began to examine it on God¡¯s domain¡¯s slate. [Bulky miner¡¯s lamp] [Level: inferior] [Explanation: The miner¡¯s lamp worn on one¡¯s head is relatively heavy. It is not recommended to use it for long hours. The light can shine for around fifteen meters, and its brightness is average.] Although the introduction mentioned that the bulky miner¡¯s lamp was not suitable for long-term use, his physique was strong. An ordinary person would probably feel a pain in his neck after carrying the lamp for a short while, however, he should not feel tired after using it for seven to eight hours. ¡°Let¡¯s see what materials we need!¡± [Bulky miner¡¯s lamp: Inextinguishable lantern (1/1), plastic sheet (2/2), metal sheet (2/2), hemisphere coconut shell (1/1)] Seeing the required materials, Bick was even overjoyed. The materials were complete and could be directly manufactured! As he began making it, a coconut shell-shaped hat embedded with the miner¡¯s lamp appeared in his hand in less than a minute. The weight of this thing was very heavy, and it was indeed a little unbearable for ordinary people. However, when Bick put it on his head, he felt that there was nothing unusual. It seemed to be quite warm, but it was not very breathable. Bick smiled slightly and waved at Einstein, ¡°Take care of the raft. I¡¯m going down to collect supplies now!¡± Einstein nodded and called out a few times. However, Bick¡¯s footsteps stopped again. He frowned and checked his current mana crystal. There were actually three pieces left. ¡°Hmm! In that case, why don¡¯t we create another octopus soul magic staff!¡± Under Einstein¡¯s puzzled gaze, Bick returned to the center of the raft and began to examine the God¡¯s domain slate. [Octopus soul magic staff: Mana crystal (3/3), wooden board (2/2), octopus teeth (1/1), octopus eye (2/2), blood drop (0/3)] ¡°Only three drops of blood are missing. This is simple!¡± Bick cut a small wound on his arm and three drops of blood dripped down, filling the schematic diagram. Ten minutes later, a strangely-shaped staff appeared in Bick¡¯s hand. There were two octopus eyes and an octopus tooth on the top of the staff. It looked very strange, and there were three mana crystals neatly inlaid on the wooden handle of the staff. Bick nodded in satisfaction and stuffed it into his wooden backpack for backup. This time he was better prepared. With this staff, no matter how powerful the monsters in the shipwreck were, they would not be able to harm him. Of course, he would not use such a precious weapon unless it was absolutely necessary. After all, he only had three chances to use it. Bick came to the side of the raft and turned to look at Einstein. ¡°Now I really have to go down and work!¡± ¡°Ou ou ou?¡± Einstein was a little confused. He did not know if Bick would suddenly stop to do something. There was actually some doubt in his eyes. It was not until Bick jumped into the sea that he suddenly called out a few times in worry. At this time, Bick was very relaxed in the sea. The light from this bulky miner¡¯s lamp was very focused. He could see the distance of about ten meters in front of him clearly. He continued to swim deeper into the sea. The light from the miner¡¯s lamp was even brighter, like a white pillar of light. Based on his memory, he quickly found the hole where he left the sunken ship. With a slight push, Bick entered the hole and a familiar corridor. Following the route, he continued to move towards the unexplored areas. Bick found a few more cabins. Of course, most of the cabins had no other resources other than rusty metal fragments. However, when Bick found the third cabin, he found a rusty metal box. ¡°Hidden treasure chest!¡± He took out the universal tool hammer without hesitation and broke the lock on the box. Bang! A pile of resources appeared in front of him. ¡°You have opened the hidden treasure chest!¡± ¡°You have obtained rum x1!¡± ¡°You have obtained compressed biscuits x4!¡± ¡°You have obtained chocolate energy bar x3!¡± ¡°Chocolate energy bar?¡± Bick was slightly surprised and quickly took the chocolate energy bar in his hand. A new notification appeared. [Chocolate energy bar] [Level: epic] [Explanation: It can satisfy hunger, but its greatest use is to recover physical strength. If eaten when one has sufficient physical strength, it can increase one¡¯s strength. ] After reading the introduction, Bick was first stunned for a moment. He did not expect to get an epic-level food. It was a waste to eat it normally. It was the best choice to consume chocolate energy bars when he was in danger or in battle. This was equivalent to playing a game, where the support gave a skill that increased attack power! Thinking of this, Bick quickly put them away and stuffed them into his jacket pocket. These things could save his life when necessary. It was best to carry them with him, not put them in the wooden backpack. Next, he searched a few more cabins, but he did not find anything good like a hidden treasure chest. As he walked along the stairs, he gradually felt a faint sense of danger, as if something had been secretly spying on him. ¡°It seems that an even more powerful monster is about to appear.¡± Bick gripped the magic spiked spear in his hand tightly. He slowed down his speed and looked around his surroundings from time to time. Although this corridor and cabin had been severely corroded, it could be vaguely seen that these cabins seemed to be of a higher level. He guessed that if he continued to walk up, he would reach the important crew room and captain¡¯s room. If the skeleton monsters he had killed before were all ordinary crew and passengers, then their combat strength would definitely be weaker. However, if the captain and first mate were to turn into monsters, then their strength would not be so weak. Chapter 34 At this moment, he had already walked up the corridor. When the light from the miner¡¯s lamp had just reached inside, Bick saw a skull poking its head out of a cabin and staring at him. The decayed skull, which had almost no flesh and blood, seemed to have a sinister expression on it. When it was illuminated by the lamp, it looked very strange. ¡°F*ck!¡± Even though he was mentally prepared, he was still shocked by this monster. He immediately tightened his grip on the magic spiked spear and slowed down his speed. He slowly approached it, ready to fight at any time. But at this moment, the skeleton monster actually shook its chin and suddenly smiled, as if some sinister plot had finally succeeded. Bick was on high alert. He swept his gaze slightly and suddenly broke out in cold sweat. A gunpowder gun was actually on its rotten palm. Bang! The sound of an explosion was suddenly heard. Bick used almost all of his strength and suddenly retreated backwards. A metal bullet flew past Bick¡¯s waist and hit the rusty cabin metal board, directly smashing a big hole. ¡°D*mn! It¡¯s quite powerful!¡± At this moment, the skeleton monster walked out of the cabin. Bick could see clearly that the guy was wearing a captain¡¯s coat that was almost completely rotted, and he was holding a gunpowder gun in both of his hands. That was not the only thing that was worse. It seemed that something was coming from his back, and it was getting closer and closer. Bick turned around and saw four skeleton monsters behind him. Each of them was holding a long knife! There was a skeleton captain in front and skeleton monsters holding long knives at the back. Bick was completely surrounded. However, he had a magic spiked spear in his hand. It might be difficult to deal with the skeleton captain, but the four monsters holding long knives at the back should not be his opponent. Thinking of this, Bick suddenly rushed to his back. He originally planned to kill a skeleton monster first, but he never expected the rusty long knives in their hands to be abnormally hard. Bang! Bick¡¯s spear was blocked by the rusty long knife, making a muffled sound in the water. The long knife was actually fine, but it was Bick who was hurt from the shock. What the f*ck? Bick did not expect that the opponent¡¯s combat strength was so strong. But after taking a closer look, he suddenly understood. It turned out that the long blade in the skeleton monster¡¯s hand was inlaid with mana crystals. It was also a magic weapon. How was he supposed to fight? The opponent had more people than him. Their weapons and strength were on par with his. If he continued to fight, he would definitely be at a disadvantage! The skeleton captain seemed to see Bick¡¯s worry, and actually arrogantly walked over to Bick¡¯s side. The four skeleton monsters were getting closer and closer, and the rusty tip of the blade was almost at Bick¡¯s lower back. If he went all out, it was not that Bick had no chance of winning. Moreover, he also had the chocolate energy bar which could increase his fighting strength. But the problem was, was it necessary to go all out against them? In the encirclement of monsters, Bick smiled slightly and actually became calm. He calmly took out a strangely shaped magic staff from his wooden backpack. He looked at the approaching monsters and sneered. ¡°Come out!¡± As he said this, Bick waved the octopus soul magic staff with force. Boom! A ball of purple light exploded around the magic staff. Almost at the same time, a huge octopus shadow appeared beside Bick. ¡°Kill them!¡± With Bick¡¯s order, the huge octopus shadow rushed towards the four skeleton monsters who were closest to it. The skeleton monsters waved their long knives and slashed towards the octopus shadow. However, the octopus¡¯s agile limbs actually coiled around the skeleton monsters¡¯ bodies. In the next moment, an ear-piercing sound of bones being crushed was heard. In an instant, the four skeleton monsters turned into broken bones. At the same time, Bick received a notification. [You have killed four skeleton monsters. You have obtained demon¡¯s remnant x4. You have obtained mana crystal x4! ] ¡°D*mn!¡± ¡°What a bountiful harvest!¡± Bick quickly put the materials into his wooden backpack. Suddenly, he heard two gunshots. Bang! Bang! The skeleton captain fired two gunpowder guns at the same time, hitting the octopus phantom. However, after the octopus¡¯s body was pierced through with two large holes, it only took less than a second for it to quickly heal. This time the skeleton captain¡¯s jaw almost fell off. It was shocked. It turned around and rushed into the captain¡¯s cabin, directly locking the cabin door. Bick was stunned by the skeleton monster¡¯s operation. He did not expect the monster to be afraid and locked the door even when it was afraid¡ However, the rusty metal cabin wall was not an obstacle for the octopus shaow at all. Its eight limbs whipped fiercely, and the metal cabin wall emitted ¡°bang bang bang bang¡± sounds of collision. Through the blurry glass, Bick even saw that the skeleton captain¡¯s entire body was trembling. This was the first time in his life that he had seen such an embarrassing monster. However, the metal cabin was obviously unable to stop the octopus. After more than ten consecutive collisions, a large hole was finally created in the metal cabin wall. The octopus did not even climb in directly. Instead, it extended its limbs in and wrapped them around the skeleton captain¡¯s body. Crack crack crack¡ The sound of bones breaking was heard again, and the skeleton captain instantly turned into pieces. [You have killed the skeleton captain. You have obtained demon¡¯s remnant x4, mana crystal x2!] ¡°Cool!¡± Bick smiled proudly, and could not help but want to praise the octopus phantom. However, it seemed that because its mana had been exhausted, the huge octopus phantom gradually turned into nothingness and completely disappeared after killing the skeleton captain. Bick looked at the octopus soul magic staff in his hand and found that one of the three mana crystals inlaid had dimmed. It seemed that the magic staff could not be used after the three mana crystals had been exhausted. ¡°Let¡¯s find the key first!¡± Bick put away the magic staff and entered the captain¡¯s room through the hole created by the octopus phantom. Inside, Bick found a metal box. He smashed it with his universal tool hammer. Bang! [You have opened hidden treasure chest!] [You have obtained rum x1!] [You have obtained compressed biscuit x1!] [You have obtained unknown key x1!] There were not many resources in the hidden treasure chest. It seemed that the most important thing was the unknown key. ¡°But who cares? There must be more resources in the warehouse below!¡± Bick smiled and held the key in his hand. He followed the route in his memory and arrived at the well-sealed warehouse. There was no difference from before. There were traces of rust everywhere, but the metal wall of the warehouse still looked solid. After finding the location of the lock hole of the cabin door, Bick inserted the unknown key and twisted it forcefully. Crack! The hatch opened¡ Chapter 35 The moment the cabin door opened, Bick was rushed in by the seawater. Only when the air in the cabin was completely emptied did Bick see everything clearly. On both sides of the cabin, there were eight metal chests neatly placed. Bick came to the front of one of the metal chests and used the universal tool hammer to smash the lock. With a bang, the treasure chest opened. [You have opened the metal treasure chest!] [You have obtained magnet x20!] ¡°Magnet? Isn¡¯t this the material to make a low-speed engine?¡± ¡°And, it actually gave 20 of them in one go!¡± ¡°I¡¯m rich this time!¡± Bick excitedly stuffed the 20 magnets into his wooden backpack and then began to destroy the other seven treasure chests violently. [You have obtained magnet x20!] [You have obtained metal ore x20!] [You have obtained metal ore x20!] [You have obtained mana crystal x20!] [You have obtained mana crystal x20!] [You have obtained holy light crystal x20!] [You have obtained holy light crystal x20!] After opening eight metal treasure chests, Bick obtained 40 magnets, metal ore, mana crystal, and holy light crystal each. The abundance of these materials was beyond Bick¡¯s imagination. Mana crystals, in particular, had always been a scarce resource for Bick, but he had never expected that there would be so many of them that he could not use them up. As for holy light crystals, he did not know what they were for, but he guessed that they were even rarer materials. Bick put these things into his wooden backpack and prepared to leave the sunken ship. As he swam along the route he came from, he unexpectedly found a material warehouse that he had overlooked. This was supposed to be a place to store food, but because of the serious leakage, most of the food had already rotted away. Only a few bottles of rum remained undamaged, and he stuffed them into his backpack. This time he really couldn¡¯t carry anything else on his body. He swayed his body and swam up to the surface of the sea. It was already dusk when he lifted his head. When Einstein saw Bick got on the raft, he cried out excitedly a few times. However, the next moment, he flapped his wings and landed directly at the place where the fishing net was set up. There was also a tone of grievance in his cries. Bick smiled slightly and said to Einstein, ¡°I accidentally starved you for an entire day. I will pull up the net and make grilled fish for you!¡± ¡°Ou ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± Upon hearing that Bick was going to grill fish for him, Einstein was instantly excited. He jumped up and down happily, and his cries became much more cheerful. ¡°You¡¯re really a glutton!¡± Bick ridiculed and began to pull the net back. Once the fishing net was pulled up, he saw a few sea fish and a few kelps. After processing these ingredients, Bick began grilling. Taking advantage of the free time, he opened the God¡¯s domain slate and began to examine the manufacturing principles of the low-speed engine. [Low-speed engine: Battery (0/2), metal wire (0/6), mechanical module (2/2), magnet (2/2), metal sheet (4/4)] ¡°It seems that I only need to manufacture the battery and metal wire.¡± Batteries and metal wires could be made from existing materials. After Bick made these two things, he filled them into the schematic diagram. The next moment, he started to make a low-speed engine. As Bick started manufacturing, a heavy motor appeared on the floor. The entire low-speed engine shone with a metallic luster. After activating it, it started to rotate slowly. The speed was indeed slow, however, this could save a large portion of manpower! However, just having a low-speed engine did not seem to be of any use. Bick began to look at the God¡¯s domain slate again. Very quickly, he found the manufacturing principle of the raft propeller. [Raft propeller: Low-speed engine (1/1), mechanical module (5/5), propeller (0/1), wooden board (4/4), metal sheet (4/4), iron nail (4/4)] [Level: normal] [Explanation: A reasonably designed propeller with limited speed, but it can be used in combination. ] Looking at the various materials required, Bick sighed, ¡°This is really a big project!¡± He thought that he had obtained enough mechanical modules, but he did not expect to use five at once to build a raft propeller. If he were to build more complicated equipment, he was afraid that his inventory would not be enough. Although he complained in his heart, Bick did not hesitate to start building. First was the propeller. This was easy to do. All he needed was metal plates, wooden boards, and iron nails. In less than ten seconds, Bick had built it. Next, it was time to build the raft propeller. Bick went to the end of the raft and chose to build it directly behind the raft. After more than ten seconds, a solid wooden base appeared. Next, it was the low-speed engine and the propeller connected to the engine. The propeller was connected with a long metal rod and directly dipped into the water. Although it looked a little rough, its practicality was unquestionable. Bick tried to start the raft propeller. Buzz, buzz, buzz¡ The low-speed engine drove the raft propeller and started to rotate at a slow speed. Although the speed was not fast, Bick could clearly feel that the raft was slowly accelerating. After about a minute, the speed reached its limit. It was about the same speed as when he was using the wooden paddle to paddle the raft. It was much slower than using the magic alloy paddle. However, he did not need to use his strength to paddle this thing! ¡°Ou ou?¡± Seeing that Bick had installed a strange thing at the end of the raft and the raft was moving on its own, Einstein jumped over in puzzlement. ¡°How is it? Isn¡¯t it very advanced?¡± ¡°Ou ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!¡± Einstein nodded and stared at the propeller in the water in a daze. However, Bick had already come to the side of the perfect barbecue rack, he jokingly greeted, ¡°The delicious grilled sea fish is ready. Einstein, if you don¡¯t come over, I will eat them all.¡± Hearing this, Einstein quickly flapped his wings and flew over. Bick placed the two grilled sea fish into two wooden bowls and began to enjoy dinner with Einstein. A delicious grilled sea fish was quickly eaten. Bick rubbed his stomach in satisfaction and took two more grilled sea fish. Just as he was about to enjoy them, he looked up and could not help but be slightly stunned. ¡°F*ck? It¡¯s already ripe?¡± On top of Bick¡¯s head, there were five bunches of yellow and orange bananas on a towering banana tree. He remembered that the last time he looked at the banana tree, there were only five bunches of green bananas on it. And each banana was only the size of a finger. ¡°Great! There will be fruit to eat today!¡± Bick did not care about the grilled fish in front of him. Under Einstein¡¯s puzzled gaze, he actually rushed directly to the large-scale farm. Only then did Einstein realize that the bananas on the banana tree had actually ripened. Chapter 36 [You have picked a banana tree!] [You have harvested banana x25!] As Bick finished picking, a total of 25 bananas appeared in front of him. Each of these bananas was ripe and full. A rich and sweet smell wafted from them. ¡°My lovely vitamins!¡± Bick smiled excitedly and directly peeled a banana, stuffing the gooey fruit into his mouth. Its sweet and soft taste instantly broke through his taste buds. The satisfaction was self-evident. It was simply too delicious! Bick ate three bananas in one go. He felt as if his stomach was already filled with bananas. Only then did he realize that Einstein was staring at him with a curious gaze. ¡°Why don¡¯t you try it too?¡± Einstein hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement. At first, he was not interested in bananas, but Bick¡¯s satisfied look was too exaggerated. It made Einstein wanted to taste this thing even more. Bick handed over the peeled banana. Einstein landed on Bick¡¯s arm and tried to peck it, instantly making an excited cry. In the next moment, he could not care about anything else. It only took him ten seconds to finish a banana. If Bick had not stopped him, he would have even swallowed the banana skin into his stomach. The delicious grilled sea fish suddenly lost its charm. The man and bird ate five bananas in one go. Then, they stuck out their full bellies and fell into sage time. They looked at the setting sun that was about to sink into the sea and the sea breeze blew. Bick looked at the remaining twenty bananas on the table and a thought popped out in his heart. ¡°Fruits are not good for storage. Why not sell some of them!¡± Thinking of this point, Bick immediately perked up. He opened the trading interface of God¡¯s domain slate and pondered for a moment. Currently, most players could already fill their stomachs. However, their demand for vitamins should be even greater now. After all, it was very easy to get scurvy if one did not eat fruits for a long time. Hence, his bananas could definitely be exchanged for even more precious resources, such as¡ mechanical modules! [Banana trades mechanical modules!] [Remarks: Bananas are rich in vitamins and prevent scurvy. It is said that they can also prevent depression and alleviate insomnia!] ¡ Bick directly listed ten similar trades and even added a note to tell other players the benefits of eating bananas. Soon, a trade notification appeared. [You have a successful trade and obtained mechanical module x1!] [You have two successful transactions, you have obtained mechanical module x2!] [You have one successful transaction, you have obtained mechanical module x1!] In a short period of time, they had already traded four mechanical modules. As for the other six transactions, Bick felt that it might take some time, so he did not wait any longer. Instead, he directly entered the chat interface, intending to see what the players were talking about recently. [Chat] [The weather seems to be not too good recently. A few days ago, it rained heavily. I saw with my own eyes that the wooden raft next to me was sunk by lightning!] [No way, it¡¯s so terrifying!] [There was really lightning. My wooden raft was hit, but I was lucky. The lightning only burned down my miniature farm!] [You call this luck?] [Everyone, look at the trade interface. Someone is trading bananas!] [He sold ten at one go. This must be the big boss who planted the banana tree!] [I¡¯ve seen bananas in the lucky small wooden bucket. I can¡¯t afford to eat them now¡] He wanted to watch the news, but he didn¡¯t expect the topic to be diverted by the ten transactions he posted. He frowned and his expression suddenly tensed up! ¡°Wait!¡± ¡°Rains, thunder¡¡± ¡°And even a miniature farm?¡± Bick suddenly realized a serious problem. He raised his head and looked at his large-scale farm. The large banana tree that had just contributed 25 bananas to him looked very much like a lightning rod. If there was a rainstorm, a single bolt of lightning would be able to turn his farm into ashes! ¡°F*ck! Not good! I have to build a lightning rod as soon as possible!¡± Bick could not continue checking the content of the chat and quickly began to build a lightning rod. [Lightning rod: Metal wire (0/10), iron nail (5/5), metal sheet (5/5)] ¡°I can¡¯t believe so many metal wires are needed!¡± Bick was speechless. It took three metal sheets to make a metal wire. He checked the materials, but it was not enough to make a lightning rod. However, metal pieces were basic materials and could be easily traded in the trading interface. He put the remaining food of the night on the trading interface. [Delicious roasted sea fish trades metal sheet x5!] [Delicious roasted sea fish trades metal sheet x5!] [Small sea fish x2 trades metal sheet x6!] [Kelp x3 trades metal sheet x6!] As soon as the trade was listed, Bick received a trade notification. [You have a successful trade. You have obtained metal sheet x6!] [You have three successful trades. You have obtained metal sheet x16!] ¡°Done!¡± Sure enough, it was easy to trade basic materials with food. In just a short moment, he had 22 more metal plates in his inventory. He finally had enough materials to make lightning rods. First, he made 10 metal wires and 5 iron nails. Then, he began to make lightning rods. The lightning rods needed to be built at the highest point of the entire raft, which was the top of the mast where the flagpole situated. With Bick¡¯s quick movements, a lightning rod appeared at the top of the flagpole. Metal wires were pulled directly down the mast and finally connected to the place below the surface of the raft. Bick looked at his masterpiece and heaved a sigh of relief. ¡°I¡¯m finally not afraid of thunder!¡± Just as he was relieved, he felt the wind on the surface of the sea became stronger. He looked up and saw a thick dark cloud in the blue night sky, slowly approaching him. Of course, Bick knew that the dark cloud was only seemed to move slowly. But in reality, he estimated that it would only take about ten minutes for it to reach his head. He was not afraid of thunder now, but he had no shelter! ¡°It seems that I have to build a wooden shed!¡± Bick had seen the blueprint of the wooden shed before, but he did not rush to build it because he felt that it was not very useful. However, he would face a huge storm in another ten minutes. If he did not want to be drenched, he had to build a wooden shed as soon as possible. Without hesitation, Bick opened the principle interface. [Normal wooden shed] [Level: normal] [Explanation: It can shelter from the wind and rain. It has a certain warmth effect, but it is not strong enough.] Looking at such an explanation, Bick felt a little depressed. Looking at the surging wind, if he only built a normal wooden shed, it would not be able to withstand such a huge storm. Chapter 37 Looking at the storm that was about to engulf him, Bick did not have time to hesitate. He opened the schematic diagram of God¡¯s domain slate. [Normal wooden shed: Wooden board (12/12), iron nails (0/6), hay (6/6), metal sheet (6/6)] Materials were complete! Construction began! In less than three minutes, a large wooden shed appeared behind the raft. The size of this wooden shed was just enough to cover Bick¡¯s big wooden bed, dining table, and storage box. Although it looked a little simple and crude, it was better than being exposed to the storm directly. After building the wooden shed, Bick called out to Einstein. ¡°Einstein, quickly enter the wooden shed to hide from the rain!¡± ¡°Ou ou!¡± Einstein flapped his wings and flew into the wooden shed. His two bean-like eyes stared nervously at the dark clouds that were sweeping over. The wind became stronger and stronger. Within a few seconds, Bick heard the sound of rain. Then, the dark clouds covered the sky in an extremely short period of time. The rain became stronger and denser. It hit the entire raft and made a pitter-patter sound. Bick and Einstein, who were in the wooden shed, could not avoid the rain either. It was raining heavily outside and drizzling inside. The waterproof property of the wooden shed was too poor. In less than ten minutes, Bick¡¯s body was almost drenched. ¡°It seems that I have to tear down this wooden shed in the future and build a better rain shelter!¡± As Bick thought this, he suddenly saw a flash of lightning. Almost at the same time, he saw a bolt of lightning struck down, hitting the lightning rod at the top of the flagpole. The next moment, there was a loud rumble, causing Bick¡¯s ears to ring. ¡°Whoa! Fortunately, the lightning rod was built in advance!¡± Bick was secretly rejoicing, but he saw that Einstein was frightened and flew around nervously in the wooden shed. ¡°Einstein, it¡¯s okay, we have the lightning rod!¡± ¡°Ou ou ou¡ Ou ou ou ou¡¡± Einstein calmed down a little, but he still spread his wings, as if he was ready to escape at any moment. The sound of thunder came in waves. Some struck the surface of the sea, some struck the lightning rod, and the heavy rain continued to pour. The strong wind passed through the gaps of the wooden shed and blew on Bick¡¯s soaked clothes. It was a little cold. ¡°Ah¡ Ah-choo!¡± Suddenly, Bick sneezed. He shrank his body and felt that his body was cold, as if he had caught a cold. ¡°It can¡¯t be¡ Under such circumstances, how can one survive without medicine¡¡± Bick was a little anxious, but he could only wait for the rain to stop. After about half an hour, the rain finally became less heavy, but Bick¡¯s sneezing could not stop. After a while, the dark clouds were carried away by the strong wind. The sky was finally clear, but it was already night. Without the sun, Bick could only warm himself by the furnace and dry his clothes. However, he also felt dizzy and headache along with the sneezes. ¡°D*mn it, I have to think of a way to treat the illness!¡± Bick opened the God¡¯s domain slate, wanting to see if there was a schematic diagram of how to make a medicine in the principle interface. After searching for a while, he actually found an item. [Miraculous healing potion] [Level: high-quality] [Explanation: It can treat most of the common diseases.] This introduction was very straightforward. It could almost be considered an all-purpose potion. It could treat most of the common diseases. Bick felt that his dizziness was getting more and more severe. He quickly checked the schematic of how to create it. [Miraculous healing potion: Rum (1/1), mana crystal powder (0/1), holy light crystal powder (0/1)] ¡°D*mn, it¡¯s a good thing I found rum earlier!¡± Bick sighed and quickly created the mana crystal powder and holy light crystal powder. The next moment, he filled these things into the schematic diagram. After about ten minutes, Bick finally created the miraculous healing potion. This potion was held in a rum bottle. The color was a little like cough syrup and it was very turbid. However, fine particles that emitted light could be vaguely seen in the turbid liquid. ¡°Who cares, drink it first!¡± Bick had a terrible headache now. He opened the cork and gulped down the miraculous healing potion. It was really magical! Bick thought that it would take him a while to gradually alleviate the symptoms, but he did not expect that in less than a few seconds, the symptoms of his headache had completely disappeared. He moved his body and felt very comfortable. Only his wet clothes, which were not completely dry, were still a little cold, but it was no longer a problem. ¡°This potion is really magical!¡± ¡°Wait!¡± ¡°During this period of time, the entire world has been constantly stormy. I¡¯m definitely not the only one who is sick!¡± Thinking of this, Bick opened the God¡¯s domain slate again and began to create the miraculous healing potion. Firstly, he did not want to see too many people die in this game due to illness. Secondly, he could use these healing potions to trade for important resources. This time a miraculous healing potion was created by him in less than ten seconds. He realized that a cold would not only make him sick, but it would also greatly reduce his work efficiency. No wonder it took him ten minutes to create the healing potion. In less than half an hour, Bick had already created twenty miraculous healing potions. He opened the trading interface and hung them up without hesitation. [Trade] [Miraculous healing potions trades board x15!] [Miraculous healing potion trades metal sheet x15!] [Miraculous healing potion trades mana crystal x4!] [Miraculous healing potion trades mechanical module x2!] In one breath, Bick hung up twenty trades, divided into four trading contents. Each trade types were looking for five transactions, and at the back of each trade, there was a note that it could cure colds. The contents of this transaction were different from the past. In the past, the most popular items were food and fresh water, followed by some basic materials. However, these things, more or less, would not cause the player to die directly. It was different if the player was sick. In such a harsh living environment, once the player got sick, it was basically equivalent to death. Therefore, these medicines would definitely be sold in an instant. As expected, just as Bick had predicted, the moment he put up these 20 transactions, he received a series of transaction notifications. [You have one successful transaction, obtained wooden board x15!] [You have three successful transactions, obtained mana crystal x8, metal sheet x15!] [You have one successful transaction, obtained mana crystal x4!] [You have two successful transactions, obtained mechanical module x4!] ¡ One by one, there was a series of transaction notifications. The miraculous healing potions that Bick had hung was sold out in less than three minutes. Chapter 38 It was obvious that the 20 bottles of potions that he had made were simply a drop in the bucket. They were unable to satisfy the players¡¯ demand. He really wanted to continue making the miraculous healing potions. If he traded these potions, not only would he be able to exchange them for a large amount of resources, but the players could cure their illnesses, too. However, the problem was that he did not have enough rum. ¡°Rum¡ Can I brew it myself?¡± Such a bold idea suddenly appeared in Bick¡¯s mind. He checked the principle interface of God¡¯s domain slate, but he did not directly find the method to produce rum. Instead, he found a small winemaker. [Small winemaker] [Level: normal] [Explanation: It can produce some common liquor, but the production is low!] Bick searched for a while more, but he could not find a winemaker with a higher production. He decided to build two small winemakers to make up for its slow winemaking speed. He checked the manufacturing principle. [Small winemaker: Plastic can (0/2), charcoal (0/3), metal sheet (4/4), iron nails (0/4), wooden board (4/4)] ¡°I need to make four plastic cans first¡¡± Bick frowned. He first made four plastic cans, six charcoals, and eight iron nails. Then, two identical small winemakers appeared in front of Bick in less than five minutes. On the small winemakers, there were two plastic bottless. One was where the raw materials being poured in, and the other for wine production. Bick checked it out and found that this small winemaker only needed to add wheat to produce liquor automatically, but the brewing time of different liquor was different. [Beer: 0.5 hour] [Rum: 1 hour] [Tequila: 1.5 hours] [Champagne: 2 hours] ¡ Bick looked directly at the production speed of rum. It took an hour and the liquor produced each time was five servings. That was to say that two small winemakers could produce 10 servings of rum in an hour. Although the output was still not high, Bick felt that it was acceptable. The problem that could not be solved now was that he did not have enough food! He looked at his large-scale farm. The wheat on the farm was obviously not ripe yet. The only way now was to go to the trade interface to buy. He first used the remaining rum to create five miraculous healing potions and directly hung them on the trade interface. [Miraculous healing potion trades wheat x3!] [Remarks: Urgently needed to make medicine!] [Miraculous healing potion trades wheat x3!] [Remarks: Urgently needed to make medicine!] ¡ In a few seconds, all five of his transactions were successful and he obtained 15 wheat at once. Bick put 10 servings of wheat into two small winemakers, and all he left to do was to wait for its production. When he was free, he checked the chat interface. As expected, many people were like him, catching a cold in the storm. [Chat] [I seem to have caught a cold, but I don¡¯t have wheat to exchange for healing potions!] [Me too, can I use other resources to exchange for healing potions? I don¡¯t have wheat here!] [Don¡¯t panic. I heard that the player who sells healing potions collects wheat to make more healing potions!] [Really? Is this true?] [Of course it¡¯s true. He sold 20 healing potions in one go. I estimated that he didn¡¯t earn much. He just didn¡¯t want anyone to die!] [That¡¯s great. Hurry up and make it. I¡¯m waiting for the potion to cure my illness!] ¡ Seeing that someone understood him, Bick felt much better. He did this because he really wanted fewer people to die, and it was also for the sake of earning some benefits. Bick closed the chat interface and walked to the small winemaker. Half an hour had passed. The plastic bottle that collected rum had already accumulated a small amount of alcohol. He only needed to wait a little longer before he could start making the miraculous healing potion. Bick ate a compressed biscuit to replenish his stamina during this time. Einstein ate two bananas and then stayed by Bick¡¯s side, waiting for the rum to be brewed. After a moment, the rum was brewed. [You have obtained rum x5!] Bick had just collected the rum, and the small winemaker on the other side had also brewed the rum. [You have obtained rum x5!] ¡°Awesome!¡± Bick smiled and put the remaining five wheat into one of the winemakers. He then began to make the miraculous healing potion. In less than five minutes, ten bottles of miraculous healing potion had been completed. Bick directly hung them on the trade interface. [Miraculous healing potion trades mana crystal x7!] ¡ [Miraculous healing potions trades wheat x4!] ¡ In less than a few seconds after Bick put the trade out, all the potions were sold out again. It seemed that previously everyone did not lack rare materials like mana crystals. The transactions were unsuccessful before this was simply because they were unwilling to use these materials to trade for food. But the healing potions were for their lives protection this time, so everyone was not stingy. After putting the wheat from the trade into another small winemaker, he still had 15 servings of wheat left. While waiting, Bick simply built another small winemaker, and those three winemakers worked at the same time. An hour later, Bick began to crazily make the miraculous healing potion. He made 15 servings in one go. Just as he was about to put them on the trade interface, he suddenly heard a familiar voice. [Ding!] [The number of medicines you have made has reached 50+ . You have obtained the achievement of a pharmaceutical manufacturing expert!] [Reward: One lucky draw in the pharmaceutical category!] ¡°Lucky draw? I didn¡¯t expect to obtain the achievement of manufacturing medicines!¡± Bick still remembered that he had won the war wrekage gift pack in the last lucky draw. The items in the gift pack were very useful, but he did not know what good things he would get this time. Bick was excited and immediately chose to start the lottery. One second later, the system¡¯s voice sounded again. [Ding! The lottery has ended. You have won the practical medical box!] ¡°Practical medical box?¡± Bick was slightly puzzled. He took out the reward and looked at it carefully. [Practical medical box] [Level: excellent] [Explanation: This medical box can be used ten times. As long as the player is not dead, all injuries will be healed within ten seconds after using it.] ¡°All injuries will be healed in 10 seconds!¡± ¡°And this thing can be used 10 times!¡± ¡°This is simply too affordable!¡± Bick stomped his feet in excitement and quickly put away the medical box. It was equivalent to having 10 extra lives by having this box. He would not be afraid of any danger! ¡°Oh right, I¡¯m too busy being happy. I¡¯ll sell the healing potions first!¡± Bick excitedly opened the trading interface and hung up the fifteen magical healing potions that he had just made. Chapter 39 After selling 45 bottles of miraculous healing potions for two to three hours, Bick finally stopped. It wasn¡¯t that Bick was tired. It was mainly because the wheat in the players¡¯ hands had been completely purchased by Bick. Without wheat, he couldn¡¯t brew rum. And, thus, he couldn¡¯t continue producing more healing potions. There was no other way. After collecting all the ingredients, Bick counted them and found that he had earned more 20 holy light crystals and 32 mana crystals by selling healing potions when it compared to earning basic materials. The harvest was not bad. After a busy day, it was time to rest. Bick dragged his tired body into the wooden shed. He laid down on the big wooden bed and fell into a deep sleep. He slept soundly. But a few hours later, Einstein¡¯s excited cry interrupted Bick¡¯s beautiful dream. ¡°Ah¡ I haven¡¯t slept enough!¡± ¡°Ou ou ou! Ou ou ou ou!¡± Einstein seemed to have been attracted by something and called out to Bick excitedly. Rubbing his eyes gloomily, Bick got up from the bed and looked at Einstein in confusion. He was standing on the watch tower, trying to look in a certain direction. Bick also looked in that direction, and could not help but be stunned. ¡°An Island?¡± On the sea surface, there was a small protrusion because it was too far away to be seen clearly. Bick immediately climbed onto the mast and stood on the watch tower, raising the telescope. In his vision, an island appeared in front of him. The island was lush, and the area seemed to be very large. He could vaguely see something moving back and forth on the island. ¡°There are animals on the island?¡± Bick smiled slightly and put away his telescope. He quickly went to the side of the raft and used the magic alloy paddle to adjust the navigation. After the navigation was aimed at the island, he began to make the final preparations before landing on the island. ¡°Einstein, let¡¯s eat first today!¡± ¡°Ou ou! Ou ou ou!¡± When Einstein heard this, he flapped his wings excitedly. Bick had already set up the fishing net. He did not get much today, only one fish, but¡ this fish was enough for Bick to eat for a day! ¡°Bluefin tuna! An ocean delicacy!¡± Bick was so excited that he poured the bluefin tuna onto the raft and quickly began to clean the fish. In less than a minute, Bick broke the tuna into four pieces of tuna meat. Then, he began to roast the tuna meat. While waiting for the fish to be cooked, Bick broke two bananas and had one each with Einstein to satisfy their hunger. After the bananas were eaten, the tuna meat was almost done. After waiting for another two or three minutes, they smelled the rich fragrance. Bick put the two delicious pieces of roasted tuna meat into two large wooden bowls and enjoyed them with Einstein. The quality of the tuna meat was so delicious that it melted in the mouth. In less than five minutes, the two delicious pieces of roasted tuna meat were eaten by Bick and Einstein. Then, there was a long wait. Although there were only a few minutes left in the roasting time, Bick and Einstein felt that their days were like years, and swallowed their saliva. Finally, the other two pieces of tuna meat were done roasting. Three minutes later, they completely disappeared from Bick and Einstein¡¯s bowls. ¡°Burp!¡± Bick rubbed his stomach and burped in satisfaction. Looking in the direction of the island, he found that it was still very far from the island, so he rested for a while before starting to organize his supplies. First, he needed to empty his wooden backpack, bring his oxygen tank, and bring a magic spiked spear as his weapon. ¡°No! If there are animals on the island, I have to protect myself well!¡± Thinking of this, Bick put these things down again. He put on the wooden armor suit and wooden helmet on his head. At this time, he could see some animals moving on the island without the help of telescope, but he could not see them clearly. Raising the telescope to take a look, he was instantly excited. In his vision, there were more than ten goats eating grass on the open lawn. Further away, there seemed to be a few cows. It seemed that he was going to make a big profit this time! The corners of Bick¡¯s mouth curled up slightly. He sat down and waited for the raft to reach the island. In less than half an hour, the raft got closer. Bick was a little surprised. He found that the island was really huge. Conservatively, the island¡¯s area was at least dozens of times larger than the island he had encountered before. ¡°Such a big island, it must have a lot of resources!¡± As the raft got closer, the goats on the island cautiously leaned back. Bick turned off the raft propeller and let the raft glided to the shallows of the island. At the same time, he came to the anchor and prepared to lower the anchor to secure the raft. After a moment, the raft arrived at the shallows. He lowered the anchor and fixed it! Bick smiled slightly and jumped onto the shallows with the magic spike dspear. There were more than ten goats moving on a small grassland in front of him. He had not eaten mutton for a long time. He was so excited that he almost drooled when he thought of the fat and tender roasted mutton legs he could eat after killing the goats. Without saying anything, he charged straight at a lone goat. He thrust out his magic spiked spear and stabbed it with all his strength. However, the goat was unusually alert. It suddenly jumped up and Bick missed. ¡°What the f*ck?¡± ¡°So agile!¡± ¡°Wait!¡± Bick was sighing when he suddenly realized that all the goats were looking at him. They were actually planning to attack. The leading goat let out a cry and swung its hooves, crashing directly towards him. Bick didn¡¯t react in time and was knocked out with a bang. Fortunately, he had a wooden armor suit on him, so he wasn¡¯t injured. However, the problem was that the goats¡¯ attack had only just begun. ¡°D*mn! I was careless!¡± Without saying a word, Bick rushed back to his raft. The goats did not give up. They actually wanted to rush onto the raft. Bick immediately activated the raft¡¯s propeller and pulled up the anchor. Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz¡ As the propeller was activated, the raft slowly left the shallows. When the goats saw Bick leave, they actually stood on the shallows for a while. ¡°Sh*t!¡± Bick spat and suddenly laughed. With so many goats gathered together, why did he have to go down personally? He might as well use the spear launcher to shoot! About 50 meters away from the shallows, Bick turned off the raft propeller. At the same time, he came behind the two spear launchers and aimed at the dozens of goats. At this time, the goats were still demonstrating on the shoal. Bick smiled slightly and shot at the opposite side. Whoosh whoosh whoosh¡ Whoosh whoosh whoosh¡ Puff! Puff! Puff puff puff¡ As the spear launchers were activated, one spear after another was shot at the opposite shoal. In just a moment, seven or eight goats were hit and fell to the ground moaning. Seeing this, the other goats tried to run away, but they were also shot by Bick. The rest ran far away, but Bick was not in a hurry to chase them. He got ashore and collected these goats first! Chapter 40 Bick drove the raft back to the shallows. He lowered the anchor and came down to pick up the goats. He came to the side of the goats and directly cut and broke them down, obtaining a series of resources. [You have obtained mutton x3, goat leg x4, goat skin x1, goat horn x2, metal spear x1!] [You have obtained mutton x3, goat leg x4, goat skin x1, goat horn x2!] [You have obtained mutton x3, goat leg x4, goat skin x1, goat horn x2, metal spear x1!] ¡ ¡°This is amazing! A goat can actually be broken down into so many resources!¡± ¡°Moreover, a portion of the metal spear can be retrieved!¡± ¡°The spear launcher is really a wonderful hunting equipment!¡± Bick exclaimed as he was busy cutting and breaking down the goats, stuffing all the resources he had obtained into his wooden backpack. After working for almost two hours, Bick finally finished cutting and breaking down all the goats. After checking, he realized that he had gained quite a lot of supplies. ¡°36 mutton, 48 goat legs, 12 goat skins, and 24 goat horns. Just the food alone can last for a long time!¡± Although with such exclamation, Bick still had to sell a portion of the food first because food had a degree of freshness in this survival game. If one hoarded too much food, the food that could not be eaten would turn bad after some time. Therefore, it was better to trade them for important supplies. Thinking up to this point, Bick returned to the wooden raft. Picking up the God¡¯s domain slate, he immediately opened the trade interface. [Trade] [Goat leg x4 trade mechanical module x1!] [Remarks: It can be rations for two days!] [Mutton x3 trade mana crystal x2!] [Remarks: It can be rations for two days!] ¡ Bick hung the goat leg and mutton he had on the trade interface. He thought that if he needed food, he could just go to the island and kill the remaining goats. However, the goats were no longer near the shallows, so the spear launcher was useless. He needed a bow and arrow! Bick smiled and opened the principle interface. Soon, he found the manufacturing principle of the bow and arrow. [Wooden bow: Wooden board (3/3), metal sheet (2/2), grass rope (0/1)] [Simple crossbow: Wooden board (6/6), metal sheet (2/2), grass rope (0/1), mechanical module (2/2)] [Armor-piercing bow: Wooden board (6/6), metal sheet (4/4), grass rope (0/2), mechanical module (4/4)] [Assault crossbow: metal ingot (0/2), metal sheet (6/6), grass rope (0/2), mechanical module (8/8)] ¡ Bick carefully looked at these weapons and his eyes gradually fell on the last option. Assault crossbow should be a weapon that had both power and firing speed. Its range should also be good, so it was better to make it. However, he still needed two metal ingots. He had run out of metal ingot, so Bick had to first refine metal ingots. He put the metal ores into the furnace. And he planned to go to the shoal to look for materials that were easy to get after that. But when he raised his head, his gaze was suddenly attracted by a large farm. ¡°The strawberries are ripe?¡± Seeing the red strawberries, Bick almost laughed out of excitement. Strawberries were fresh, tender, and juicy. Not only could they replenish vitamins, but they could even replenish water in the body when one was thirsty. If he was to sell these things, wouldn¡¯t he make a fortune!! With this thought in mind, Bick went to the large farm and prepared to pick strawberries. A few minutes later, the strawberries were in his hands! [You have picked strawberry seedling!] [You have harvested strawberries x25!] He had harvested 25 servings of strawberries, and each serving had ten huge strawberries. Bick took out one serving and stuffed a strawberry into his mouth. In an instant, a refreshing, sour, and sweet taste hit his taste buds. Coupled with the cold texture, it was simply wonderful. In less than ten minutes, Bick had eaten two servings of strawberries. He even called Einstein over to try them out with him. The little guy still ate one tentatively at first. Later, he couldn¡¯t stop after he found that the strawberries were even more delicious than bananas. Seeing that he had eaten until his stomach was full, Bick said to Einstein, ¡°There will be more in the future. Don¡¯t be too full!¡± Einstein nodded reluctantly. He was a little wobbly when he walked, as he was quite full. Although strawberries were delicious, they were harder to store than bananas. Therefore, Bick only kept six servings, and sold the remaining nineteen servings. [Strawberries trade machine module!] Bick realized that the core materials he needed would be machine module and mana crystal in the future, so he would usually trade for these two materials when he was trading. Closing the trading interface, Bick looked at the furnace and found that the metal ingot had been refined. [You have obtained metal ingot!] Bick put away the metal ingot and added three more metal ores to the furnace for next refinement. As Bick had nothing else to do now, he decided to increase the speed of the raft by building two more raft thrusters. The first step was to build low-speed engines, propellers, and iron nails. After about ten minutes, all the items were made. He opened the schematic diagram of the raft thruster and checked it. [Raft thruster: Low-speed engine (1/1), mechanical module (5/5), propeller (1/1), wooden board (4/4), metal sheet (4/4), iron nails (4/4)] ¡°It¡¯s all here!¡± ¡°Start making!¡± Bick came to the back of the raft. After a moment, he built a raft thruster on both sides of the original raft thruster. Then, he activated the first raft thruster. Buzz buzz buzz buzz¡ As the propeller turned, the raft began to accelerate slowly. When Bick turned on the second raft thruster, the speed increased by a notch. When the three thrusters worked at the same time, the speed of navigation had already exceeded the speed of Bick using the magic alloy paddle. Of course, there was a price to pay. Just the three raft thrusters alone had consumed 21 of Bick¡¯s mechanical modules. Using the magic alloy paddle to correct the direction, Bick drove the raft back to the side of the shoal. Suddenly, he realized a problem. ¡°That¡¯s right!¡± ¡°Why should I correct the direction with the magic alloy paddle?¡± ¡°Shouldn¡¯t I install a rudder?¡± Bick finally realized that he had forgotten to install a rudder for the raft. He smiled bitterly and quickly opened the God¡¯s domain slate to take a look. [Simple rudder: Wood board (4/4), mechanical module (3/3), iron nails (0/2)] [Efficient rudder: Wooden board (6/6), metal ingot (1/1), mechanical module (5/5), iron nail (0/4)] [Advanced combination rudder: Wooden board (12/12), metal ingot (0/3), mechanical module (12/12), iron nail (0/8)] ¡
