Chapter 267
As soon as Maggie returned to her office, her phone rang
It was a call from Isabe.
Recalling Franklin’s intention to invite her to dinner earlier in the conference room, Maggie nced at the iing call from Isabe and decided not to answer.
Isabe called her three times in a row. Seeing that she hadn’t answered, after a while, she sent a message.
“Mom, I’m going to participate in a fencingpetition next month. Can you apany me to my fencing training
tomorrow?”
Maggie paused for a moment when she saw the message, her hand tightening around the phone.
Ever since Franklin took Isabe to Country A more than two years ago, she had missed many things regarding Isabe’s life.
For example, over the past two years, she had no idea what courses or interest sses Franklin had arranged for Isabe.
Before she had considered divorcing Franklin, she had asked Isabe about these matters, but Isabe had been unwilling to talk to her much.
If it weren’t for this message now, Maggie wouldn’t even have known that Isabe had learned fencing.
She had no idea that Isabe was preparing for apetition either.
She had missed so much of Isabe’s growth…
Lost in thought, Maggie stared at the message for a long time, unable to snap out of it.
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
Maggie came to her senses and said, “Come in.”
It was Glen.
He hade to discuss work with her.
When it came to work, Glen was always serious.
Tomorrow would be the weekend.

After finishing the work discussion, he remembered that he had wanted to ask her out earlier but had kept missing the opportunity. So, after their conversation about work ended, he didn’t leave immediately. Instead, he asked, “I went to see a y a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it was pretty interesting. There’s another show this week. I’m nning to go again. Want to join me?”
Maggie thought about Isabe’s message and shook her head, replying, “I have other ns on Saturday, so I won’t be able to make it.”
A hint of disappointment shed in Glen’s eyes. “I sec…”
At that moment, Isabe, still waiting for a response, sent another message.
“Mom, please reply to me soon…”
Maggie saw the message and quickly typed a reply.
“I know, Mom will go with you to the training tomorrow morning.”
Seeing that she was busy, Glen didn’t want to disturb her further and left.
Isabe was overjoyed when she saw that Maggie had replied and immediately called her.
Maggie picked up the phone, and Isabe immediately asked, “Mom, you finally have time tomorrow!”
Maggie replied, “Mm.”
Isabe happily asked, “Then, Mom, what time will you be home tonight?”
“Mom won’t being home tonight,” Maggie said, her attention on theputer. “Send me the time and address for your training tomorrow, and I’ll go directly to the ce where you’re training.”
Isabe had just returned home from school.
She stood in the living room of the vi, observing the few busy servants around her. She realized that it had been a long, long time since shest saw Maggie at home.
In fact, she couldn’t even remember thest time Maggie hade home.
Hearing what Maggie said, she felt a little down, but the thought of Maggie apanying her to the fencing training the next morning cheered her up. “Okay, I’ll have Dad send you the time and address right away!”
Maggie paused for a moment and then replied, “Alright, I know, Mom.”
Then she asked, “Have you gotten home?”
“I just got home.”
